Hi, all.I'm using STM32H747I-DISCO.I tried STemWinHelloWorld example, and "Hello world!" string was displayed on LCD properly.I added EXTI IRQ. And I confirmed when EXTI IRQ occur, it went to EXTI15_10_IRQHandler.Then I added proccess that display "How are you?" string in EXTI15_10_IRQHandler, as shown below.void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(GpioInt_Pin); /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 1 */ GUI_DispStringAt("How are you?", (LCD_GetXSize()-100)/2, (LCD_GetYSize()-20)/4); /* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 1 */ }But when EXTI IRQ occur, "How are you?" string was not displayed on LCD, although it go to EXTI15_10_IRQHandler.And I confirmed below action.I added proccess that display "Fine!" string in MainTask() followed by GUI_Delay(1000), as shown below.void MainTask(void) { GUI_Clear(); GUI_SetFont(&GUI_Font32_1); GUI_DispSt

Hello everyone,I need a starting INI file for an STM32H753.I'm using the NUCLEO-H753ZI evaluation board.I'm using sample projects for various peripherals: GPIO, ADC, TIM, ... . My IDE is Keil uVision.Using the sample projects, it's easy to debug the microcontroller behavior. All debugger features are accessible and work correctly: Watch, Memory, Peripherals, Logic Analyzer, etc.My goal is to prepare an initialization file (.ini) to configure Keil debugger at the following path:Options->Debug->Initialization fileThis initialization file, in addition to providing the debugging functions mentioned above (Watch, Memory, Peripherals, Logic Analyzer, ... ), will allow me to read/write information from/to flash memory when loading my executable onto the board.Can anyone recommend an ini file to start for the STM32H753?.Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.Bye,Matteo

Hello,I came across this document here https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00622045-stm32h7-series-lifetime-estimates-stmicroelectronics.pdfWe have a H75x custom board running the MCU in VOS1 at 400MHz with external 1.2V core power supply.According to this description hereAccording to Figure 2, when VOS1, VDD = 3.3 V, VCORE = 1.2 V and operation ratio of 100%. Some examples are illustrated such as: • Tj = 105°C the lifetime estimation is > 10 years • Tj = 125°C the lifetime estimation is 4 years • Tj = 140°C the lifetime estimation is 2 years In the same conditions and for an operation ratio of 20%, the lifetime estimation is as following: • Tj = 125°C the lifetime estimation is 20 years • Tj = 140°C the lifetime estimation is 10 yearsthe power consumption, heat dissipation and lifetime is influenced by "operation ratio". What does operation ratio mean and how can I influence/control it? Does this mean that only a part of chip silicon is powered/used? Or time spen

Greetings, I'm having an issue with low-power modes. I'm using a STM32U585 MCU and while in run mode it is consuming around 100mA, which is a lot. I tried to enter in Sleep, Stop and Standby modes right after the main declaration:int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemPower_Config(); SystemClock_Config(); PeriphCommonClock_Config(); HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI); ...The thing is, the current just drops from 100mA to 70mA, which is still a lot. Any clue why the circuit is consuming so much current? Thank you

Hello,i'm using arduino to code a STM32C011J6M6 and I want to use the Energy harvesting pin of ST25DV04K to source the IC when the VCC be off and the NFC Field be on.But with this code the EH is on just when VCC and NFC Field are on.if I remove all the EH_MODE code part, the circuit continues to works, so i believe that I'm coding this wrong. Someone already works with this kind of programming?Best Regards #include <Wire.h> #define LED PC13 #define SCL_PIN PB6 #define SDA_PIN PB7 #define TILT PA13 #define ST25DV64K_ADDR 0x53 int memAddr = 0; int counter = 0; #define PTR_EH_MODE 0x0002 #define PTR_EH_CTRL_DYN 0x2002 void setup() { pinMode(LED, OUTPUT); pinMode(TILT, INPUT); Wire.begin(); configureEnergyHarvesting(); } void loop() { digitalWrite(LED, HIGH); delay(500); uint8_t tiltCount = countTiltEvents(); writeEEPROM(memAddr++, 5); writeEEPROM(memAddr++, (uint8_t)26); writeEEPROM(memAddr++, 52); writeEEPROM(memAddr, (uint8_

Hello. I am a newbie who is experiencing embedded.I recently got the stm32h573i-dk board and I am trying to upload an AI inference model to the board. The inference model is a simple test model that predicts the XOR value.I created a project in STM32CubeIDE using ST Edge AI Developer Cloud and tested the basic user_led and UART communication. Then, I expanded x-cube-ai to create network.c and network.h files, but I confirmed that many errors occurred.I am not writing this article to find a way to solve the errors. I just wanted to check if the procedure for applying the AI model to the stm32h5 board is correct. I would like to get a simple comment if this is the right way to proceed or if there is something I missed.They say that you can see as much as you know, but I am a newbie, so I don't know what to ask. If there is any study material on how to apply the AI model to the stm32h5 board, please recommend it.This article was written with the help of a translator, so I'm not sure i

Hello,I am using X-CUBE SBSFU for an application running on STM32H750 mcu.The user application is running from QSPI, and I want to encrypt/decrypt some data that will be stored into an external EEPROM.To do this I would like to use an AES algorithm and I would like to store the crypto key in a secure area.In this regard it is not clear to me whether it is possible to store selected data/code in secure flash that can be accessed through the call gate feature by the user application.I will use encrypted firmware update, so it would also be fine to access the firmware encryption AES private key or encryption functions using that key.Thanks to anyone who could help me to put some light on this topic,Ivan

Hi , I am also making custom board for GPS, and same issue I am facing, unable to connect via SWD, Please help to debug.

I have internet access at my office only through a virtual machine.I'm facing an issue with updating Cube-IDE. Currently, I'm using version 1.11.0 and I want to manually update it to version 1.13.1.I've downloaded the executable file for version 1.13.1 from the website, but my previous code doesn't seem to open in this updated version.Could you please guide me on how to connect my existing workspace (workspace_1.11.0) with the new version? Alternatively, if there's an alternative method for manually updating CubeIDE, I'd appreciate the advice.

my code only made changes the io, no rtos, no interrupt, but it cost over 1 us.  the picture is that io sta. and clock

For PID tuning, from documentation, I understood how to calculate gains for current loop. But how to calculate them for speed loop? How Motor control workbench is auto calculating the gains for speed regulator? Please provide documentation or formulas related to it.

Hi Master:Platform: STM32H743HAL library firmware: STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.12.1Question:As shown in the following code, it takes a long time to update 'sTime', perhaps a few minutes.  RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime = { 0 }; RTC_DateTypeDef sDate = { 0 }; ASSERT(HAL_RTC_GetDate(&hrtc, &sDate, RTC_FORMAT_BIN) == HAL_OK); ASSERT(HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BIN) == HAL_OK); But when I switch the order of execution, it is updated every secondRTC_TimeTypeDef sTime = { 0 }; RTC_DateTypeDef sDate = { 0 }; ASSERT2(HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BIN) == HAL_OK); ASSERT2(HAL_RTC_GetDate(&hrtc, &sDate, RTC_FORMAT_BIN) == HAL_OK);What is the reason for this? Thank you so much

Hi, I flashed the nucleo-stm32wb55RG with the binary BLE_TransparentMode_reference.hex (location: C:\ST\STM32CubeWB_package\STM32CubeWB\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\BLE\BLE_TransparentMode\Binary) using the STM32CubreProgrammer (version 2.20.0). I followed the instructions of UM2288 Rev 19, section 2 (connection to target). But in STM32cubemonitor-rf, when I click 'connect' button, I get a pop-up message: 'Device under test not responding COM port closed'.Before flashing BLE_TransparentMode_reference.hex, I installed stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin and stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin using the STM32CubreProgrammer. Here is the screenshot showing the FUS and stack versions:The device manager shows COM3 for the nucleo-wb55:However, I am not able to connect to the nucleo using the cube monitor-rf tool as shown below:   Can you please provide further guidance to fix this issue? Thank you

I am using STM32CubeMX Version 6.13.0 and targeting the STM32H743BIT6.The CAD export option fails with the error: "Download interruption: CAD download fails due to AxiosError: Request failed with status code 500".I first experienced this with an older version of CubeMX about a week ago and the error persists today with the latest version (6.13.0) of CubeMX.To replicate the error:Start a CubeMX project targeting the STM32H743BIT6. Configure at least 1 pin. Go to the 'Tools' tab, CAD option.Select KiCAD v6+ and 3D STEP.Select pin naming 'Dual'Select 'CAD Models' to attempt a download.

Hi,I was wondering if there were plans to make drivers for the ST BrightSense image sensors available for the ST STM32N6 Series μCs (these could be bare metal, FreeRTOS, ThreadX or Zephyr drivers) or for ST STM32MP2 Series SoMs (in the form of libcamera drivers)?I heard that drivers for the VD66GY image sensor are planned for the STM32N6 Series μCs but I wasn't sure about the other BrightSense image sensors.Providing drivers for the ST BrightSense image sensors for the STM32N6 Series μCs and STM32MP2 Series SoCs would allow ST customers to fully leverage the enormous power of both ST image sensors and the leading ISP and AI capabilities of STM32N6 and STM32MP2 while developing a solution entirely within the ST ecosystem. Having drivers provided by ST instead of coding our own drivers would enormously speed route to market and reduce risk.Thank you very much for your help.Will

Dear St,I hope this message finds you well.At our company, we are currently in the process of obtaining product certifications. To comply with these requirements, the certification body has requested RoHS documentation for the components we use, including your microcontrollers.Could you please provide us with the RoHS certificates for your microcontrollers or, if available, a general RoHS compliance declaration covering your product line?Thank you in advance for your assistance. Please let me know if you need any additional details from our side.Best regards,Manuel Ibáñez

Dear all,Currently, I'm trying to test the SPC560P50L3 MCU for a Motor Control application. I know that I can do it easily by clicking on "import samples from application library". However, every time I try to create the project manually by adding the components like the screenshot below, I always face a lot of errors. I noticed that even though I set up the pins in "SPC56xx Motor Control Component," nothing is updated in the pin MAP view, which is not like in the MCSDK versions. In MCSDK, we set up a lot of things in the GUI, like PWM pins, ADC pins, and so on. After that, we can see it also in the CUBE MX after the code generation. However, SPC5 studio is not like that. I'm not sure whether I'm doing something wrong or not. Please correct me if I'm wrong.I would like to know if there is any step-by-step document or manual to create a custom motor control project in SPC5 Studio. Thanks and regards,Agga

I bought an arm64 based PC a few months ago and I have been unable to connect to or detect stlink even after installing driver, is there a work around? has anyone successfully been able to use the snapdragon processor with stlink? is there another kind of debugger that works with arm based pc's? your help will be highly appreciated, thanks

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a custom board based on an STM32 microcontroller, and I’ve developed my GUI using TouchGFX on the STM32F746G Discovery board. Now I want to migrate the same project to my custom hardware. The custom board uses the same MCU (STM32F746) and all the peripheral pins (LTDC, FMC, UART, etc.) are mapped identically to those on the Discovery board. The only difference is that it’s a custom PCB and not the original development board. My questions are: Can I directly use the code generated by TouchGFX (and STM32CubeMX/CubeIDE) from the Discovery board project on the custom board? Are there any specific changes I need to make for hardware initialization or BSP configurations? Has anyone done this kind of migration successfully with minimal modifications? Any tips or guidance from those who have gone through this process would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I'm working on an STM32F429 project and trying to read quadrature signals from an RS422 encoder (SIKO MSK5000). I'm connecting the encoder to TIM2 pins (PA0/PA1) in encoder mode (using timer input capture), but I can't get any signal detected by the timer. The RS422 output is connected through a differential-to-TTL converter (based on MAX485), and I'm using the STM32's built-in encoder interface. However, the counter stays at zero, and I see no changes at all. MCU: STM32F429 Encoder: SIKO MSK5000 (RS422 differential A/B output) Interface: TIM2 in encoder mode (PA0 = CH1, PA1 = CH2) RS422 to TTL Converter: 2x QYB-998 modules (each handling one channel) MSK5000 A+ / A− → QYB-998 #1 → output → STM32 PA0 (CH1) MSK5000 B+ / B− → QYB-998 #2 → output → STM32 PA1 (CH2) Both converters powered by 5V (shared with STM32) All GNDs connected properly TIM2 initialized in encoder mode (count on both edges) Any advice, especially from those who’ve worked with encoder mode +

Hi, I am using an STM32H7RS3x device with external QSPI flash connected to XSPI2 interface with address = 0x7000_0000.I have noticed that the base address of from the hexfile I have to flash into external XSPI (of course using external loader) is not 0x7000_0000 but 0x2407_1c00, which is, curiously, the address of the NONCACHEABLE RAM. What decides the the base address of the hex file? What comes into play on this decision? To add some information, this is the linker script I am using for the XSPI2 (stm32h7rsxx_ROMxspi2.ld : /* ****************************************************************************** ** ** @file : LinkerScript.ld ** ** @author : STM32CubeIDE ** ** Abstract : Linker script for STM32H7Rxx8 Device ** 64Kbytes FLASH ** 456Kbytes RAM ** ** Set heap size, stack size and stack location according ** to application requirements. ** ** Set memory bank area and size if external memory is used ** ** Target : STMicroelectronics STM32 ** ** Distribution
