Hello,I'm having an issue with the STM32L4A6(1Mb) and the dual-bank.First of all, I tried with the NUCLEO-L476 and a simple blink led. It worked fine.Now, my project is based on a STM32L4A6, but the firmware doesn't start in BANK2.For simplicity, I did the same program blink led as for the STM32L476This is what I implemented in SystemInit():VECT_TAB_OFFSET is 0x80000void SystemInit(void) { #if defined(USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS) /* Configure the Vector Table location -------------------------------------*/ FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef FLASH_OBProgramInit = {0}; //Read all options bits HAL_FLASHEx_OBGetConfig(&FLASH_OBProgramInit); //Check the BFB2 bit if (FLASH_OBProgramInit.USERConfig & FLASH_OPTR_BFB2) SCB->VTOR = VECT_TAB_BASE_ADDRESS | VECT_TAB_OFFSET; else SCB->VTOR = VECT_TAB_BASE_ADDRESS; #endif /* FPU settings ------------------------------------------------------------*/ #if (__FPU_PRESENT == 1) && (__FPU_USED == 1) SCB->CPACR |= ((3

Hi, Im new to STM32 and Im writing a bare metal spi library however for some reason when I try to change the SSM bit in code it doesnt seem to work. Im able to change the SSM bit in debug mode. void SPI_Enable(SPI_Com* spi) { SPI1_CLK_EN; //Reset the whole CR1 register if someone decides to enable it using different options //First disable SPI spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 &= ~(1 << 6); spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 = 0; //CPOL and CPHA spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 |= (spi->spiConfig.CPHA); spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 |= (spi->spiConfig.CPOL << 1); //Master, Slave mode spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 |= (spi->spiConfig.masterMode << 2); //Set baud rate spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 |= (spi->spiConfig.baudRate << 3); //MSB or LSB first spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 |= (spi->spiConfig.isLSB << 7); //Data format spi->spiReg->SPI_CR1 |= (spi->spiConfig.dataFormat << 11); //Software Slave SSM and SSI bits //spi->

Hello All,I have received a PCB which is used in a battery pack that i am working on. Unfortunately the CM does not communicate any more and the last he told me was that they did not flash the devices. The PCB has basic functionalities like displaying battery power via LED lighting, charging battery and discharging and couple of WIFI, BT modules that are connected to the MCU - STM32G0B1CEU6N microcontroller (MCU) Upon looking at the schematic - the PCB has SWD and JTAG.I tried connecting the PCB via ST-LINK-V2 to STM32Programmer but the software does not detect at all.I checked the SWDIO, SWCLK, NRST, GND wiring (made sure they are all correct by checking continuity) gave VDD power input to the 3.3 V input on ST-LINK-V2 but no luck. What i would like to understand is that could this be an RDP issue? where RDP level 1 is blocked and i need to connect via JTAG to enter the MCU and be able to flash it?Thanks for the help..

I used the settings and code below for a simple project: Blink an external DIP LED using the blue pill:In Pinout & Configuration:- PA5 => GPIO_Output- user label: LEDThe wire connections (like screenshot below):PA5 pin => Resistor => Long leg (anode) of LEDShort leg (cathode) => GND on Blue Pill  And finally code: while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin); HAL_Delay(500); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }But the LED doesn't turn on!What could be the reason? The .ioc file is also attached.

I have designed an L476 into a simple controller (BMS) and am trying to use the opamp and ADC and comparators to read the current, and implement a hardware fast overcurrent protection.The opamp is working fine in PGA mode G16. I can see as I inject 20A across the current sensors, the stm pin goes up and down in voltage on my oscilloscope.The ADC is set up in scan mode, with 14 conversions, and the rest of the channels read fine; I am reading lots of thermistors and input/output voltages and such like.The opamp channel is simply returning noise between 475 and 493 counts irrespective of the current I inject (20A injected results in about 100mV shift in the opamp signal)I have replicated this on a very simple sketch: /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_OPAMP2_Init(); MX_TIM3_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_OPAMP_Start(&hopamp2); HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); HAL_Delay(100); HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&ht

Our use of the VL534LCD is within what we call a bin.  A long rectangular container.  The sensors job is to measure the distance to items placed into the bin.  Very contained environment with little interference.  When we calibrate the sensor we do this when our bin is empty.  There is a white panel always at the beginning of the container bin which moves forward (backwards) along a track when items are placed in it or taken out.  When it is empty it is stationary at 231mm.  So,  we calibrate using 231mm.When we calibrate to 231mm we get back offsets from the sensor > -45.  These seem unusually large to me? Why would this be?

For some reason I am unable to connect to my custom STF32F405RGT6 board via SWD or JTAG.I originally had my board wired as this table below:ST-LINK/V2ST-LINK/V2My BoardMy BoardPin NumberConnector CN3MCU PinMCU Pin1Target VCC  2Target VCC VCC3TRST  4GND GND5TDIPA15TDI6GND GND7TMS_SWDIOPA13TMS8GND GND9TCK_SWCLKPA14TCK10GND GND11Not connected  12GND  13TDO_SWOPB3TDO14GND  15NRST7nRST16GND  17Not connected  18GND  19VDD  20GND  This is from the ST-LinkV2 documentation Table 4: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um1075-stlinkv2-incircuit-debuggerprogrammer-for-stm8-and-stm32-stmicroelectronics.pdfI have tried both SWD and JTAG with all possible reset methods through the CubeProgrammer and IDEDebug configuration:My schematics look like this:  I have 3V3, 3V3A up and measured as 3.26V on my multimeter, and VCAP is at 1.2V.I tried both versions (hi

I am using an STM32G4 microcontroller with UCPD and the USBPD middleware. I was following this tutorial (same as AN5418 https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00663511-how-to-build-a-simple-usbpd-sink-application-with-stm32cubemx-stmicroelectronics.pdf:(https://youtu.be/-vsJhNIaHxE?si=3wosMAMXrO40mVZrI, however, have a custom PCB without a TCPP chip, I'm not sure if this makes a difference. I set up everything according to the tutorial and I added the code it requires. Additionally, I added the following code to EvaluateSinkCapabilites: void USBPD_DPM_SNK_EvaluateCapabilities(uint8_t PortNum, uint32_t *PtrRequestData, USBPD_CORE_PDO_Type_TypeDef *PtrPowerObjectType) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USBPD_DPM_SNK_EvaluateCapabilities */ USBPD_SNKRDO_TypeDef rdo; rdo.d32 = 0; /* Prepare the requested pdo */ rdo.FixedVariableRDO.ObjectPosition = 1; rdo.FixedVariableRDO.OperatingCurrentIn10mAunits = 50; rdo.FixedVariableRDO.MaxOperatingCurrent10mAunits = 50; rdo.FixedVariableR

I spent the time to learn how to get it up and running so that you don't have to. What I am explaining here was done on Win 10. My CubeIDE version was 1.6.1.Downloading and copying the files:At the time I installed it, STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0 was current. I downloaded it from here.After extracting the zip file, open a File Explorer window and go to the directory "<extractedFiles>\en.stm32cubeh7_v1-9-0_v1.9.0\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0\Drivers\CMSIS\DSP"In the above directory, you will notice two folders: "Include" and "Lib". These two folders will have to be copied in your already existing project as explained next.Open another File Explorer window and go to the root directory of your project "<user>\STM32CubeIDE\<workspace>\<projectName>\Drivers\CMSIS". Here you need to create a new folder called "DSP". Once created, copy the to folders "Include" and "Lib" under folder "DSP".Unless your CubeIDE is already open, start it up. Unless the DSP folder isn't already visibl

Hello,We have ordered STM32G431VBT6 microcontrollers from different sources both online and local but while testing we were getting a voltage drop at source after isolating the whole PCB the issue was found to be localized to the microcontroller. After checking the supply and all the pins we found that the pin 14 that is the NRST pin of the microcontroller is showing a short with the VSS pins of the controller. Thus, after verifying the issue with another controller we got the NRST pin showing short with VSS pin on all controllers thus we ordered from different sources and found that all the controllers were showing the same behavior. We checked online on community forum and the documentation but found no solution. Is there an alternate way to operate with this controller and if not is there an issue with the controller itself

Hello,I am currently testing the MT25QL512ABB flash memory on an STM32H747I-DISCO board.The board has two of these flash chips, and I am attempting to operate them in dual mode.I am using the driver from the official STMicroelectronics repository available at this URL:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-mt25ql512abbMy test code is designed to do the following:On the first boot, it writes data to a specific region of the flash.It then immediately reads back the data from that same region to verify that the write operation was successful.After a reboot, the code reads the same flash region again to ensure the data is still correct.The initial write and immediate read-back verification works perfectly. However, after I reboot the board, the subsequent read operation fails. The data read from the flash does not match the data that was originally written.I have already disabled all cache functions, so I don't believe this is a caching issue.I am looking for advice on what could be c

I am reposting this issue because, while debugging, I've determined that the root cause is related to the Erase operation, not the reboot, as I had initially thought in my previous post. Previous post: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32h7-qspi-flash-incorrect-data-after-reboot-initial-write/m-p/830635#M284116 Board: STM32H747I-DISCODevelopment Environment: STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0Library: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-mt25ql512abb My code executes in the following sequence:1. Initialize QSPI and the MT25QL512ABB flash memory.2. Erase a 4K block starting from address 0x0.3. Write 256 bytes (aTxBuffer) to address 0x0.4. Read back the 256 bytes from address 0x0 into aRxBuffer.5. Compare aTxBuffer and aRxBuffer.6. Erase a next 4K block starting from address 0x1000 (4096).7. Read the 256 bytes from address 0x0 again into aRxBuffer.8. Compare aTxBuffer and aRxBuffer. My expectation is that the erase operation in step 6, which targets the 4K blo

I am writing a custom driver for the mt25ql512abb as the one on STM's github doesnt work for my STM32L412KB, I have gotten reading, writing and erasing working but when I try enter memory mapped mode DQ[0-3] on the flash just goes highHere is my function that im using, I am setting the XIP bit on the Volatile configuration register first (i have confirmed this is working) then I enter memory mapped mode, i have set the dummy cycles to 10 on the volatile and non-volatile configuration registers as well.  uint8_t CSP_QSPI_EnableMemoryMappedMode(void) { QSPI_CommandTypeDef sCommand; QSPI_MemoryMappedTypeDef sMemMappedCfg; /* Enable Memory-Mapped mode-------------------------------------------------- */ sCommand.InstructionMode = QSPI_INSTRUCTION_1_LINE; sCommand.AddressSize = QSPI_ADDRESS_32_BITS; sCommand.AlternateByteMode = QSPI_ALTERNATE_BYTES_NONE; sCommand.DdrMode = QSPI_DDR_MODE_DISABLE; sCommand.DdrHoldHalfCycle = QSPI_DDR_HHC_ANALOG_DELAY; sCommand.SI

I have a custom board based on the STM32mp157f and have been battling getting a custom build to boot on it.It is fairly similar the to DK2 so I've been looking a lot at the stm32mp15xx-dkx.dtsi files as reference. I've been able to get it to get past TF-A and OPTEE but in U-Boot it gets stuck and reboots. STM32_Programmer_CLI just loops between the first and seconds lines in my .tsv file. I assume this is because the board isn't showing up correctly over USB.I attached my full device tree files. Here's the boot logs NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP157FAA Rev.Z NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v25.06.11 ERROR: nvmem node board_id not found INFO: PMIC version = 0x21 NOTICE: Reset reason (0x54): INFO: System reset generated by MPU (MPSYSRST) INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe2000 INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_fuse INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware con

Dear community,I would like to send a char buffer through UART using DMA, but at a precise interval (or delay).I know how to use the DMA with USART TX, it works flawlessly.The interesting bit is the delay between the DMA transfers.I know I can do it with a polling loop, and I know I can do it with a timer and in its interrupt, trig the DMA by enabling the DMA channel.On the C0 devices (and others), the DMA uses a DMAMUX that has a SYNC feature, which according to the documentation, should provide exactly what I'm looking for.However, I could not make it work at all.According to RM0490, table 51 on page 245, the sync input 21 is TIM14 TRGO (by the way, what is TIM14 signal for TRGO ?). So I set the SYNC ID, the number of requests (to anything for the moment, let say 4), rising edge for the sync polarity and set the SE bit (which is redundant with SPOL in my view, since SPOL = 0 will stop the sync).Has anyone succesfully used the SYNC feature of DMAMUX, to a similar use case ?Thank you a

Hi!I have an issue with stm32 Nucleo F767zi power setup.When I power up the stm32 Nucleo F767zi on 12V, the regulator ic and the controller chip heats up. Why?I have also changed the JP3 jumper to (Vin-5V) option. And the JP1 jumper is off.What's the problem and how I can resolve it?

Hello,There's a small typo in the STM32H750VB reference manual (RM0433 Rev 8).Page 545, GPIO alternate function high register (GPIOx_AFRH)Address offset: 0x2 : Should be 0x24 (confirmed by the GPIO register map).Have a nice day, thanks for the very extensive and useful documentation.

Hi all, I'm setting up a custom board using the STM32WL33 device. I'm using four single-ended ADC inputs: ADC_VINM0, ADC_VINP0, ADC_VINM3, ADC_VINP3.I would like to use DMA and sequencer, adding TEMP and VDD as 5th and 6th conversions. I managed to got the above up and running, but: a) appears that ALL conversion is done on 3.6V conversion range, regardless of software setup and subsequent SWITCH register settings (which appears correctly set: 0x8282); using the below macro gives correct ADC_value => mV conversion: __HAL_ADC_CALC_DATA_TO_VOLTAGE(ADC_VIN_RANGE_3V6, adc[2], ADC_DS_DATA_WIDTH_12_BIT);b) TEMP reading appears totally wrong. At ambient temp (30°C), ADC readings is around 726 (over 12 bits). If I readback calibration registers: uint32_t Calib_c30 = (int32_t)*TEMPSENSOR_C30_ADDR; // =2556uint32_t TCK_c30 = (int32_t)*TEMPSENSOR_TCK_ADDR; // =300and use RM0511 - chpt 12.2.1 formula, I get T[°C] = -153°C (!!!) ADC register settings:Finally, n

Dear all, I am using Nucleo-F446RE and also Nucleo-F103RB.As you may know precise clock testing require for some application.For testing purpose always change RCC as Bypass HSE clock from STLINK on this case.Recently I have used Nucleo-F446RE as above but behavior is different as failure on startup.I have tried simple test on both Nucleo-F103RB and Nucleo-F446RE.F103RB's result is correct. Bypass clock is worked.I had reflashed STLINK side as latest build on both unit.So STLINK side has no delta. Using environment CubeIDE 1.19.0 with included CubeMX.Now I am looking F446RE SystemClock_Config in detail.

Hi community,I'm very new to STM32 wireless. I need some support.I followed the MOOC "STM32WB Getting Started Series: Part 12b, Lab. Receiving data from the phone " using Nucleo WBA55CG board. When I build the code, there were 0 error and 0 warning. Problem started with flashing. I couldn't find the STM board on ST BLE Toolbox on my phone. However, when I followed MOOC "STM32WBA5x workshop - 5- Add a BLE profile (P2PServer) to your peripheral" usng same HW, it worked perfectly. I could find STM board on the phone, receive noti when button is clicked und toggle the LEDs from phone. How can I solve this issue? I'm using Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2, STM32CubeMX v6.15.0, STM32Cube IDE 1.18.0 with STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.7.0.

I've built a board around the STM32G0B1, hoping to get it to negotiate as much USB PD power as I can get. I've followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=-vsJhNIaHxE but see that some of the callback functions are deprecated: But this header doesn't say what the new function is or where to find out what the new interface is.This document is a lot of pages that don't tell me anything useful about how to actually use the library: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2552-managing-usb-power-delivery-systems-with-stm32-microcontrollers-stmicroelectronics.pdfThis one doesn't specify what are the functions to implement for the modern callbacks: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32StepByStep:Getting_started_with_USB-Power_Delivery_SinkCould someone point me to an up-to-date reference on what the requirements are to use this plugin?

Hi there,I am newbie at edge AI, and I was runing the demo "motor vibration" in nanoEdgeAI.For me, the nanoEdgeAI is really a excellent work, I can easy understand the most part of the work flow by run an demo, even I am just a new guy.However, when i ran the demo, and I want to launch the execution time of the special library, the error as below is present:I have tried to launch a few others library's execution time, but the error is same.I don't know what happened, could anyone tell me why and how could I get the information I need.Any help is welcome, thanks for your help!

Hello STM32 Community,I accidentally erased the full firmware on my STEVAL-PROTEUS1 board (STM32WB5MMG). After that, I followed this process to recover:FUS firmware: Updated using stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin from STSW-PROTEUS (since FUS was missing in the other package).BLE Stack: Flashed stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin from FP-AI-PDMWBSOC.OTA Reference App: Flashed Proteus_BLE_FUOTA_reference.bin from FP-AI-PDMWBSOC.After these steps, Bluetooth worked fine — I could connect to the board via my phone.However, when I upload the user application PDMWBSOC.bin (from FP-AI-PDMWBSOC), Bluetooth stops working — it gets disconnected and doesn’t advertise anymore.I tried uploading the application using:STM32CubeProgrammerOTA method via the mobile appIn both cases, the same issue occurs.My Goal: I want to use the FP-AI-PDMWBSOC software pack to run the predictive maintenance application via BLE.Can someone please guide me on what might be going wrong or if any additional steps are needed after uploadin

hi,I start to use STM mcu to develop power electronic circuit and software , I find the following stuff " STEVAL-DPSTPFC1 3.6 kW PFC totem pole with inrush ......."   is the best reference design to me for learning ,  would you please deliver its schematic and source codes to me for study  ?  as early as possible.thank you.Bob

Hi, Is it possible to get some sort of frame timestamp from the evaluation boards? Ideally, I would love to have start and end of exposure timestamps but any timestamp from the sensor would be great. I could timestamp when I receive the frame on my device, but that might not be accurate enough for my application since it would also include other delays from my computer. Inaccuracies in the 10s of microseconds range are acceptable. Thanks.
