Hi. I just ordered a brand new NUCLEO-N657X0-Q, and cant connect to it using STM32CubeProgrammmer. I tried using ST-Link in different modes and reset modes. I also tried using external loader, and discovery under debug authentication, got the error message in the screenshot.Would appreciate some help.

I have a problem I can't solve. In a previous project, I used an STM32L4A6 and set the PC8 and PC9 lines high before entering the system bootloader. After starting the system bootloader, these lines remained high. They were used to maintain power to the device. In the new project, the MCU was changed to an STM32F446. I used the PD10 and PD12 lines to maintain power after confirming with the AN2606 that they were not being used by the system bootloader. Unfortunately, after starting the bootloader, both lines are reset. Why does this happen?

Apologies if this is the wrong group for this query. I have implemented a library from scratch which performs the host side of a DFU upgrade (avoids the dependencies in CubeProgrammer_API.dll, for which I could not find source). The code works just fine but I have a question about the expected values of bAlternateSetting across the whole range of STM32 devices. For the STM32U575, there are three DFU Interface Descriptors with bAlternateSetting values of 0, 1 and 2. These correspond to 0=Internal Flash, 1=Option Bytes, 2=OTP Memory. [This is very clear from the memory descriptor string corresponding to the iInterface value of each interface.]My question is: are these values consistent across the range of STM32s, or might some devices have (say) 1=Internal Flash or whatever? Is there any available documentation for this? I've spent quite a bit of time trawling various UMxxxx and ANxxxx as part of creating this library, but have not found much about bAlternateSetting. The behaviour of D

Hello,I have already use VL53L0X sensor provided by AZ-Delivery.My main problem is that I2C address can be changed but NOT permanently.I am looking to "Adafruit VL53L4CX Time of Flight Sensor". But I don't want to discover the same problem, that is I2C address can not be change permanently. Does the base-component VL53L4CX have the same "disability" ?Is there a TOF component allowing to set and fix this important behavior ?Best regards.

HiReading this post https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-security/x-cube-azure-h7-hw-cryptographic-acceleration/m-p/634818/highlight/true#M6417 it seems like ST employee is saying STM chips will not support Azure RTOS going forward? Has any decision on this been made?

I want to add a custom BLE service in STM32CubeMX. I saw on a website that the Add Custom Service feature could be used for this. However, I don't know the procedure for adding a service using this feature. Please tell me the steps to add a service using the Add Custom Service feature in the latest IDE and MX environment.

I am working on a React Native project for an NFC app that needs to run on both iOS and Android. I am using the react-native-nfc-manager library to perform NFC operations. The NFC tag I am using is ST25DV, which supports NDEF and NfcV (ISO15693) technologies. In my app, I need to perform:Writing different types of NDEF messages (URI, AAR, etc.).Writing directly to static registers (e.g., RFA1SS, ENDA1, RF_PWD_1, etc.).For writing to registers, I need to access raw memory blocks, which requires NfcV commands.According to the react-native-nfc-manager documentation, NfcV is not supported on iOS. That leaves me only with NDEF, as the tag only supports NDEF and NfcV.My questions:Is there any way to access or write to those registers on iOS without NfcV?Is there a workaround to enable or simulate NfcV support on iOS?Or am I limited to NDEF-only operations on iOS with this tag? Here’s a snippet from my current code that uses NfcV to write a static register (works on Android) I haven't tested th

Hello everyone, I am learning about STPM32 design and I am wondering about the power source for the IC to operate. Mass (GND) is shared between AC and DC? This seems unreasonable. Hope everyone shares. knowledge.

I was design 19 volt regulated power supply, but I don't know the exact value for the transistors, and I noticed at the voltsim output didn't reach the maximum 19 volt output, can anyone help me for the solution for my design, regards.@all

Hi,APB1 clock can't be enabled if HSI clock is chosen. It says that the driven clock must be 10M<=x<48M, so, without using the PLL it's impossible to get the 10MHz. Things get worse when I try to feed the PLL from the HSI: it says that the PLL should have HSE as an input! If I go on despite the recommendation, then I get this message: How can I enable the APB1 clock without using an externa crystal? What should I do if I want to choose both: not to use an external crystal and still using the USB peripheral? For now I can disable the USB port because I'm not in a rush with it, but this isn't a solution.May I overlooking something?BTW, this is a custom board. Thank you in advanced!

Fresh install of stm32cube1.9.0 (onto a Windows 10 64-bit system). This older-than-current version needs to be used (at least at first) to avoid issues in resurrecting an old project (from when1.9.0 was current). The default install path (from the application's installer) was overridden (to C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.9.0\).I believe I am having a problem with the internal (to STM32CUBEIDE) value assigned to it's PATH variable (see below), however, I do not know how to update this internal PATH value to help the IDE find make.exe (which was installed in the system during the installation of the IDE overall.)A small (C-language) test program was created and an attempt made to build it, resulting in the following error:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------12:06:22 **** Build of configuration Debug for project test1 ****make allCannot run program "make": Launching failed Error: Program "make" not found in PATHPATH=[C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.9.0/

I would like to know why 2 is added to the P2PNotifyServerToClientCharHdle while checking for an attribute handle match in p2p_stm.c file. Later in the same function, 1 is added to P2PWriteClientToServerCharHdle. Is there an implicit assumption made here to add 2 to a notify handle and 1 to a write characteristic handle.  P2PNotifyServerToClientCharHdle is declared as uint16_t. Why add 2 to an integer for matching to Attr_Handle.     static SVCCTL_EvtAckStatus_t PeerToPeer_Event_Handler(void *Event) { SVCCTL_EvtAckStatus_t return_value; hci_event_pckt *event_pckt; evt_blecore_aci *blecore_evt; aci_gatt_attribute_modified_event_rp0 * attribute_modified; P2PS_STM_App_Notification_evt_t Notification; return_value = SVCCTL_EvtNotAck; event_pckt = (hci_event_pckt *)(((hci_uart_pckt*)Event)->data); switch(event_pckt->evt) { case HCI_VENDOR_SPECIFIC_DEBUG_EVT_CODE: { blecore_evt = (evt_blecore_aci*)event_pckt->data; switch(blecore_evt

A new sensor has been recently launched on st.com, embedded in existing pressure and iNemo sensors: an electrostatic sensor that can be used for human presence and motion detection, touch detection, and user interface (UI) applicationsQvar stands for electric charge (= Q) variation (= var). It is an electrical potential sensing channel able to measure the quasi-electrostatic potential changes. ILPS22QS and LSM6DSV16X sensors allow to connect an analog input and convert it to a digital signal for embedded processing. In addition, the embedded Qvar channel can be enabled for sensing in applications such as water leakage detection, tap, double tap, long press, and L/R - R/L swipe.

Hi everyone, I have a STM32F042F6P6 chip. I want to read 9 analog channels on it.I guess there are at least 2 options: configure a scan mode with DMA, and staying in polling mode.I decided to stay in polling mode to avoid a potential problem due to DMA config.I defined 1 adc handle  and did channel configurations (8 first channels are gpios, the 9th is internal temp)It seems that when calling those 2 methods repeatedly, the ADC auto-increments and read each channel starting from the lowest ID.HAL_ADC_PollForConversionHAL_ADC_GetValue Let's say now that I want to have a method that reads only the internal temperature, how do I manage to tell to HAL_ADC_PollConversion to point on the internal temperature channel only ?I have had an idea but it is quite radical:- create other channel config structure, with only the Temp channel defined, and each time I call a conversion method, before that I call HAL_ADC_ConfigChannel with the good channel config structure. Also, I have 2 qu

Don't know where to ask, but it's about this forum in general:I'm getting Emails asking me to mark an answer to a question I posted as a solution. Funny thing: in the mobile version of the forum I don't see an option to mark an answer as the solution. Only in the browser version (on my desktop computer) I can mark an answer "as the solution" (menu topic left beside the reply button). This is missing in the mobile view.

Hello. We are developing a device with the STM32MP257 and we will not have a USB Type-C connector in our design. We plan to use the USB3DR as a USB2.0 device with a USB 2.0 connector to USB boot (USB boot for flashing). Does the STM32MP2 embedded bootloader uses the UCPD CCx signals? How can we inform the USB3DR about detection of the USB VBUS?Is is possible to emulate UCPD CCx signals (sink mode) from the USB VBUS as a variant of detecting the incoming USB power?Best regards,Vadim Aleynikov

Hello Community,I’m facing an issue with Pin PC15 on my board. I am unable to configure or use it as a GPIO, either as input or output. I’ve tried basic initialization, but it doesn’t seem to respond as expected.Has anyone experienced a similar issue with PC15, or is there a special configuration/limitation I should be aware of? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!Clock Configuration:LSI at 32 KHzHCLK at 86 MHz

Hello,I have made a custom STM32F412 board, intended for safety applications within various types of machinery.I have completed the hardware and I am now working on the software, which I need some help to organize correctly.Since all applications running on the board are safety related, most of the software is not related to the actual application (type of machinery) being operated.Rather, the majority of the code is running various monitoring and diagnostics routines to ensure that both hardware and software functions as intended; e.g. timing constraints on code execution, monitoring of RAM and Flash memory, etc.All of this "system monitoring" is maintained by me, and must be certified independently. It must not be modified, accidentally or intentionally, by the programmers that subsequently write the code for the specific applications running on top of the system monitoring. For that matter, I would like to statically compile everything, including peripheral configuration, interrupt r

Hello,we are experiencing RAM corruption when running an application in external RAM when setting a breakpoint while debugging. The issue can be reproduced using following configuration:1. Open example STM32Cube_FW_H7RS_V1.1.0\Project\STM32H7S78-DK\Templates\Template_LRUN\STM32CubeIDE\Boot\.cproject in STM32CubeIDE 1.15.0(import both Boot and Appli when asked)2. Build the Template_LRUN_Boot-Project and start it to download the bootloader to internal flash3. Exchange the main.c of the Template_LRUN_Appli with the attached main.c and build the application4. Use STM32CubeProgrammer to download Appli/Debug/Template_LRUN_Appli.bin to location 0x70000000(Connect to STM32H7S78-DK board, click '+' , Open File and select Template_LRUN_Appli.bin, Click Download-Arrow-Down and enter 0x70000000 as Address and Enter to download the Applikation)5. Reset the board - the Led LD1 should be blinking in 1 second interval 6. Attach the debugger to the running application by right-clicking on Temp

Hi all,I am experimenting with H7 ADC (after having tried the G4 ADC).I see in the HAL that the calibration, HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(), for H7 MCU wants a parameter more than G4. One should specify ADC_CALIB_OFFSET or ADC_CALIB_OFFSET_LINEARITY.I am confused, and reading the datasheet does not help me. Can't understand the difference between the two methods.Should I use ADC_CALIB_OFFSET  or  ADC_CALIB_OFFSET_LINEARITY, when calling the calibration_start()?Or should I call the calibration *twice*, one for each option?TY,linuxfan

Hello,   the STM32TrustedPackageCreator supports the obk-file-generation via CLI: STM32TrustedPackageCreator_CLI.exe -obk C:\OBKey.xml   This requires a xml-file. The gui-version allows the generation directly from a password. Is this also possible via CLI?   Best regards, Peter

I saw a strange behavior when using STM32F401RBTx, to show you I added only 1 output as LED and  toggled it.  I have just that much code. I tried with 16 MHz, 48 MHz, 64 MHz, 84 MHz. It went hard fault when speed is 64 MHz or 84 MHz.    This is the clock setting which calculated by STM32CubeIDE.   It goes inside of HAL_RCC_ClockConfig function and can't go beyond HAL_InitTick function. When I put breakpoint inside HAL_InitTick I could delay hard fault little bit and saw below callstack. I tried this with 2 microcontrollers and same thing was happening. How can I solve this? Thank you.

Hi,I am working with an STM32F769 MCU driving a 480×272 RGB565 TFT display through LTDC.Architecture:Framebuffer in external SDRAM (IS42S16800F-7TL, 16 MB) connected via FMC.LTDC + DMA2D used for graphics update (TouchGFX).I²C + DMA used to read/write parameters on an external FRAM.System managed with FreeRTOS.Problem:When a long I²C DMA transfer is running (FRAM read/write for parameter storage), I see horizontal glitches on the display: objects temporarily shift to the right (as if some pixels were missing). The curious part is that the phenomenon only happens if I change the initialization sequence in main() from this: MX_LTDC_Init(); HAL_Delay(1000); // avoid flickering on display MX_TouchGFX_Init(); HAL_Delay(200); // avoid flickering on display osKernelInitialize();…to this:MX_LTDC_Init(); HAL_Delay(1000); // avoid flickering on display MX_TouchGFX_Init(); HAL_Delay(200); // avoid flickering on display __NOP(); // added __NOP(); // added osKernelInitialize();adding only
