Hallo motor control experts,I’m trying to get a B-G431B-ESC1 board running on an e-bike motor using the ST MCSDK 6.4.0. The motor spins with the Motor Profiler FW (B-G431B-ESC1#B-G431B-ESC1 3Sh#(6.1.2).hex) in the profiling phase, but the MCSDK project generated from those parameters won’t get the motor to turn. Hardware setup, power supply and so on ist exectly the same, so it must be a firmware problem. I’ve tried it both sensorless and with the encoder—same result. Is there any information which parameters the Motor Profiler FW uses? How it is posible, that the Motor Profiler FW get's the motor to run without knowing the motorparameter and the MCSDK project with the exact motor parameters does not run?Thank you!

Hi, I am trying to bring up some software on an STM32N6570-DK.I'm able to upload example code from the STM32CubeIDE when the board is in DEV mode, e.g. when BOOT1 is set to 1. I followed the steps in this KB article: FSBL Explained However, I am unable to even connect to the board with STM32CubeProgrammer, even when in DEV mode. Hello STM Community,I’m currently working on measuring a LiPo battery voltage using one of the ADC inputs (AIN6) on an STM32WB55RG. The battery voltage ranges from approximately 3.0 V to 3.95 V. Since the ADC reference (Vref) is 3.3 V, I used a voltage divider (two 10 MΩ resistors) to scale the voltage to half its original value. In firmware, I then multiply the measured voltage by two to recover the actual battery voltage. However, I’ve observed that the measured ADC voltage is roughly three times lower than expected. This suggests there may be an additional internal resistance or loading effect influencing the measurement — possibly an internal parallel resistance within the ADC input path. I checked the datasheet and reference manual but couldn’t find any specifications confirming the presence or value of such an internal resistor.I’ve attached my tentative schematic for reference.Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can shed light on this behavior? I’d like to make the measurem

Hello,I am using the B-G431B-ESC1 board with a fresh installation of X-CUBE-MCSDK-6 (v6.4.1).I want to use the Motor Profiler, but I am facing a problem:1. The precompiled profiler firmware (.bin/.hex file) for B-G431B-ESC1 is not included in the 'Utilities' folder. I understand this may be by design in newer SDKs.2. However, when I create a "New Project" in MC Workbench and select the B-G431B-ESC1 board, the option to create a "Motor Profiler" firmware does not appear. Only the "FOC" option is available.Because of this, I am completely stuck and cannot run the Motor Profiler.Could you please advise on the correct procedure to get the profiler firmware for the B-G431B-ESC1 on MCSDK 6.4.1?Thank you.

I am working on a project to drive a door using a PMSM motor in position control mode.I've encountered a problem I can't solve. When the motor is positioned at some specific rotor positions, it fails to start properly and tends to spin out of control during the startup sequence. There are very similar 2 posts titled “Loss of control whenever the motor starts at some specific points” (https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-motor-control/loss-of-control-whenever-the-motor-starts-at-some-specific/td-p/143892) and “Motor sometimes starts in wrong direction, because of wrong sign of Iq measured” (https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-motor-control/motor-sometimes-starts-in-wrong-direction-because-of-wrong-sign/td-p/64553).Has anyone found a solution? If so, could you please share it with us?Thanks in advance for your help. Details:ST MCW Ver            : 6.4.0STM32CubeIDE Ver : 1.19.0Driving algorithm     &

I have a custom board. Right now we have a "template project" which is mostly a stripped project and we have a customer project. We periodically merge some changes between them. Instead of copying the template project and modifying it I would like to be able to use it as a board in TouchGFX designer directly. This will be important when we will use the board for more than 1 customer.I followed the instructions, but the board doesn't show up.I followed these instructions: https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/scenarios/scenarios-create-atI stripped the project. My project structure is:C:\source\company\company-stm32-touchgfx-hmi-bspC:\source\company\company-stm32-touchgfx-hmi-bsp\.gitC:\source\company\company-stm32-touchgfx-hmi-bsp\DocC:\source\company\company-stm32-touchgfx-hmi-bsp\Source\MiddlewaresC:\source\company\company-stm32-touchgfx-hmi-bsp\Source\TouchGFXC:\source\company\company-stm32-touchgfx-hmi-bsp\Source\TouchGFX\company-STM32-TouchGFX-HMI-BSP.touchgfxI closed

On a couple of internally developed boards based on an architecture combining an STM32F407 and a KSZ8863RLL, I have experienced failures on the latter chip that I cannot explain. The issue manifests as intermittent communication with the TCP client that pings the board. Occasionally, it seems that some packets are lost, causing the communication to drop out and then resume, only to fail again after a short while. I suspect that the environment in which the board is used might be subject to ESD events or overvoltage conditions caused by imbalances in the differential voltage on the bus. Since we are in an industrial context, it is standard practice to connect the digital grounds of the boards and power supplies to earth. The suspicion that the problem is due to internal damage of the chip is supported by the fact that, on these faulty boards, replacing the KSZ8863 restores normal operation without any interruptions.

Hi Community,I am trying to get the Automatic Mode working, without success. There is a very similar (but locked) post about this going back to 2021 here, for which there is no accepted solution, so this may be an unresolved bug.I am using API V2.20.0 and my ST-Link/V2 firmware is up to date. My target device is STM32C071 on my own pcb, using SWD. I have no issue with manual programming but automatic mode is problematic. To keep it simple until working properly, I am not programming any option bytes at this stage.I start with the ST-Link connected to a board, then click Start Automatic Mode. After a delay of a few seconds it is programmed no problem and the dialogue then requests the device be disconnected and does recognise that it has been. So far so good. However, it then fails to recognise the second device and hangs, not only the API but also the ST-Link, which must be unplugged and replugged before it will connect to a new instance of STM32CubeProgrammer.Is it something I'm d

Hi,I have downloaded and installed STM32CubeIDE version 1.18.1, and created a new project for the STM32F042C6T6 chip. For this chip, the latest available firmware pack is STMCube MCU Package for STM32F0 series version 1.11.5.When I install this firmware pack and open it from the STM32Cube / Repository directory, I can see that in the middleware folder I have the STM32 USB middleware library version 2.5.3. This is apparent from the Relese Notes file present in the directory. In GitHub, the latest available version for the STM32 USB middleware library is much newer, version 2.11.4 which contains all the nice things I need such as support for USB composite devices. I have already reviewed the post https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-implement-a-usb-device-composite-in-stm32h5/ta-p/708078 found from this forum but this link only deals with STM32H5 which is a completely different MCU from my meager F0.My main question then is, how can I use the latest STM32 USB middleware

Hello, On the STM32u5g9, using STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0 (CubeMX 6.15, just in case) with jpeg hardware . When debugging the Huffman tables, the rm-0456 gives the address boundaries for the AC0 and AC1 tables; 2 strictly non overlaping tables. In the SFRs menu of cubeide, AC0 starts at the right address, but not AC1 which starts in the middle of the AC0 table, here 0x4002a5dc instead of 0x4002a660 and finishes at 0x4002a738. Then AC0 and AC1 are overlaping/interleaving in the SFRs with same addresses which makes it difficult to follow. I don't think this behavior was wanted.

How I get the software stack/firmware library stack with LoRaWAN for STM32WLE5xx MCU (other than Seed Studio Library) ?. In github, stm32wl repository only has a STM32WL55JC drivers alone. Is there any possibilities to get a firmware stack for STM32WLE5xx ? If anyone have an idea kindly let me know.

I purchased the X-NUCLEO-GFX01M2 with the Nucleo-L476RG eval board. The example project "Hello World" came with six image files (Image1.h - Image6.h).This project built okay, and the canned images appeared correctly.Next, I tried to use my own images instead of the canned images. The images list array must be modified to match the width and height of each new image used. The following are problems that I encountered, or extra tasks required:1) My images are JPG format, but Touch GFX only accepts PNG or SVG. I had to use Photoshop to convert them.2) The images next had to be cropped and resized for the LCD display.3) Touch GFX was next used to generate the proper image string array files for the project in place of the Image1-6.h files.4) Even though the original "Hello World" image files were .H files, and 16-bit (word) arrays, Touch GFX generated .CPP 8-bit (byte) arrays. This also made the text files almost twice as large as a word array file (0x12, 0x34 vs. 0x1234).5) Since

Hi,I would like to manage .bmp (with alpha channel for transparency) stored in flash and show it as it was included in the application via Touchgfx designer. In other words I would like to customize my application with this bitmap simply uploading the bitmap and not flashing the whole applicationAt the moment I am able to load from usb .bmp file and store it in a memory portion of the internal flash working as a storing device.I understand it is possibile to manage dynamical bitmap via the useful tutorial I found in the documentation, but I don't know if it works with .bitmap with alpha channel.Do you have any suggestion for me?Best regards.Davide

Hi ST Support. The VB1940 camera has IR smart upscale.I think IR smart upscale separates only the IR data from RGBNIR and compensates for any missing data.Is there a way to send IR data without interpolating this missing data (without changing the image size)? If possible, please tell me how to set it up. Best, regards.

Hello all, I have been struggling with DMA transfers from SPI transactions and would love a second opinion on what I could be doing wrong. I have confirmed that polling works and I can corroborate the data I see in the RX registers with a scope. I do not use the HAL API for SPI receptions with DMA, I am mostly using low-level register modifications to trigger read/writes from the SPI peripheral, although I do use the initialization of the peripheral that is generated by Cube IDE.I was looking into why the DMA destination buffer was not being filled, when I realized there was something wrong with the SPI transaction itself. According to the RM, the DMA will make a request once RXP is set and it is automatically activated according to `RXWNE` and `RXPLVL`. When inspecting these register during the transaction I see that `RXWNE` is set to 1, meaning there is, at least, 4 bytes in the RX FIFO. RXPLVL itself reads all zeroes since the data size is larger than 16 bits, so I don't s

I'm reviewing the datasheet for the LM317 linear regulator, and it lists the equation for calculating voltage as:VO = VREF (1 + R2/R1) + IADJ R2If I plug in the numbers from my circuit (and neglect the error calculation), I get:1.25 * (1+(1400/400))  = 5.625VHowever, if I do a straight resistor-divider calculation assuming R1 = 400 and R2 = 1400, and assume 5.625V at the top of R1, I get Vref = 4.375. Swapping R1 and R2 (such at R1 = 1400 and R2 = 400) I get Vref = 1.25V with Vout = 5.625Furthermore, most linear regulators with an adjust pin set the output using the equation VO = VREF (1 + R1/R2)Which tracks with what I'm seeing in the math. Is there a typo in the datasheet, or is there something significant I'm missing in how much current the ADJ pin has on it?

Possible Bug in HAL_SD_InitCard Hello wonderful STM community!I have identified a possible bug in the HAL Layer for the SDMMC peripheral. At STM32G431 Is it possible to make a  (SPI daisy chain) shift register with one cyclic ringbuffer. With SPI peripheral as Full duplex Slave, with 2 DMA (RX TX) channels. "HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(SPI_GetHandle(), ringbuffer, ringbuffer, SPI_size); "And stop DMA once NSS external pin interrupt accors ( rising edge). Or in other words read and write to same buffer in dma is that possible?I tested and it was working. Is this lucky or indeed possible, because SPI Transmit (read from buffer[x]) always happens before receiving (write in buffer[x]) from same index and therefore always guaranteed it works ?

I am evaluating the STM32H743VIT6 microcontroller for my project. I would like to know whether this device supports Execute-In-Place (XIP) from external flash memory through QSPI

Hello,ST Team and Community! Recently, I've been working on implementing an AI model based on YoloV11n, built to run on an N6570. I'm trying to transform the raw memory that the model returns to me into a standard YoloV11n output, so I can have the data I need for my application. Analyzing a little deeper and doing the reverse path to link two functions documented in the LL_ATON lib:  We have that, inside the network.c, generated by CubeAI, the final symbol that should have the implementation of the function simply just returns WORNG_INDEX for both LL_ATON_Set_User_Input_Buffer and LL_ATON_Set_User_Output_Buffer. Was it supposed to happen this way? Here, in the official documentation for the LL_ATON lib, it says something about a compilation flag that is required for the user to allocate buffers this way. Could this be the reason for the generation error, or is the function actually not implemented?  My current settings for the cubeAI p
