HelloI'm using an STM32F103T8 who talks over CAN interface with a Raspberry Pi (MCP2515 Controller). The MC also uses USART1 for communication with a sensor module. For testing purpose I've setup a simple program which sends continuously can frames of length 8 with a fixed payload [0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7]. Only the TxMailbox[0] is used. The communication is working fine except randomly the last two bytes are not [0x06,0x07] but [0x08, 0xC0].In the reference manual page 686 Section 24.9.3 it says: TGT: Transmit global time This bit is active only when the hardware is in the Time Trigger Communication mode, TTCM bit of the CAN_MCR register is set. 0: Time stamp TIME[15:0] is not sent. 1: Time stamp TIME[15:0] value is sent in the last two data bytes of the 8-byte message: TIME[7:0] in data byte 7 and TIME[15:8] in data byte 6, replacing the data written in CAN_TDHxR[31:16] register (DATA6[7:0] and DATA7[7:0]). DLC must be programmed as 8 in order these two bytes to be sent over the CAN bus.My HAL

Hey,I tried generating an empty project using STM32CUBEMX (Followed instructions from: https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021620431-Configuring-STM32F429I-DISCO) When I try to compile the project in keil I get the following error:(Sample error line: SixthTrial\SixthTrial.axf: Error: L6218E: Undefined symbol touchgfx::TypedText::fonts (referred from texts.o).)hence after looking up for a few other forums I tried updating my touch gfx in the project folder and got this output:(Sample error line: Using touchgfx E:\TouchGFX\4.10.0\env(MINGW32) Updating 'simulator/gcc/Makefile'(MINGW32) Generating assets.make[1]: *** No rule to make target )Please let me know where I am going wrong. Thank You.

I'm using L6474h with X-CUBE-SPN1 Version 1.10.0. I think there is a bug with the X-CUBE-SPN1 library.Step motor movement is delayed for a few seconds if the speed is adjusted more than two times (x2) of the previous speed. There is no problem if the speed changes less than or equal to two times.I think the problem is with the states at backside in the library. You can try any stepping configuration. Problem is always same.BSP_MotorControl_SetMaxSpeed(0,400); BSP_MotorControl_SetMinSpeed(0,200); BSP_MotorControl_Move(0,FORWARD,200); BSP_MotorControl_WaitWhileActive(0);   // Speed is increased more than 2x times then // The following movement starts after 1-2 seconds. // Below; write 800 instead of 1000, and 400 instead of 500, then there is no delay. BSP_MotorControl_SetMaxSpeed(0,1000); // If this is 800(less than x2 times of previos speed then works fine BSP_MotorControl_SetMinSpeed(0,500); // If this is 400(less than x2 times of previous speed then works fine BS

Hello All,I used the example application of CAN from SPC5 stdio. As mentioned in the application programs LED's are blinking but i was not able to see the msg in Vector CAN case or in the logic analyser. I need to do any extra modification in any file so that i can view the masg sending from the application.

i want to set PID gains by auto tuning process how can i achieve this by using STM32 C code or any eample ?

Can someome share some materials about how to use SPCSTUDIO? Thks

I evaluate ST25R3916 by using ST25R3916-DISCO kit and STSW-ST25R010.In Antenna features tab, I confirmed AAT_A and AAT_B values changed for tuning when a piece of metal is approached to the  antenna, but in poling tab, these value did not change when the metal piece is approached. Is this correct operation? I think the antenna is continuously tuned in poling mode. If it is wrong, please tell me when auto antenna tuning is used.

Hi,I am using LSM6DSOX and ProfiMEMS board . I have created my modelm based on WEKA(decision tree) and I tested it in Unico v.8 and it worked. Now the question is how can I use my final model(the model which I loaded in MLC) in STM32cube? How is the procedure? Thank you in advance for helping.regards

Hi,I'm working on porting a project from the Nucleo-F411 to a custom PCB. Everything works fine when setting the HCLK to 60MHz and below (running from the internal HSI RC clock and PLL), but i'm getting Hard and Usage Faults when setting the HCLK to anything above 60MHz, the target HCLK is 82MHz.Find attached the CubeMX project i'm using, can you replicate the issue?

Hi, I am running a STML433 with external xtal. I have a serial port that works fine when I set the parity to NONE (I set the port to 9600 baud No parity 8bits 1stop bit). And works well , as expected. I have to set it to parity even (set to 9600 baud Even parity 8n bits 1 stop bit), so I set the register as follows:USARTx->CR1 |= USART_CR1_PCE;// set parity USARTx->CR1 &= ~USART_CR1_PS;// even parityeverything else in the uart is the same. But I dont get the correct info coming out of the serial port, the only way is if I set the terminal window on the receiving side to E 7 bits and 2 stop bits , which isnt any use. My complete setup is:USARTx->CR1 &= ~USART_CR1_UE; //disable uart   USARTx->CR1 &= ~USART_CR1_M;// 8 bits   USARTx->CR2 &= ~USART_CR2_STOP;// 1 stop bit   if(Parity==NO_PARITY)   USARTx->CR1 &= ~USART_CR1_PCE;// no parity   else   { &nbsp

I want to know which STM32 MCUs have Ethernet port. I tried finding it on the Internet and I just found STM32F769NI which supports Ethernet. I can't find the others. Kindly help. Thanks in advance'Siddharth Soni

Hello,I am working on indirect read of quadspi using MDMA. Regular pooling worked fine without any problem. I have 4 line dual buffer QSPI circuit. I used HAL function HAL_QSPI_Receive_DMA(&hqspi, data); No data read from qspi. Moreover I have found inside this function (file stm32h7xx_hal_qspi.c) at line 1268:/* Enable the MDMA transfer by setting the DMAEN bit in the QSPI CR register */ SET_BIT(hqspi->Instance->CR, QUADSPI_CR_DMAEN);This bit is defined as:#define QUADSPI_CR_DMAEN_Pos (2U) #define QUADSPI_CR_DMAEN_Msk (0x1U << QUADSPI_CR_DMAEN_Pos) /*!< 0x00000004 */ #define QUADSPI_CR_DMAEN QUADSPI_CR_DMAEN_Msk /*!< DMA Enable */This bit is clearly marked as reserved in reference manual on page 876. It is clearly just copied from stm32f7 which had this bit.So my question is: Was this function ever tested? Are there any code examples for QUADSPI MDMA read on STM32H7 or usage procedure (what registers to set to program MDMA and QSPI).

I am using STM32f407VG Discovery for audio application. I am having a problem while using the I2S2 in Slave Receive mode using the HAL_I2S_DMA_Receive() for receiving 16-bit data on a 32-bit frame. I am able to get the Audio data correctly at times and the audio transmitted using I2S3 plays without any noise. But at other times, the sync between the WS and SD seems to get disturbed. The received data in the buffer is shifted (with 0 appended on the last 24 of the 32 bits). Simply resetting the STM32f407VG Discovery results in different behaviour each time. When the audio is clear, the buffer receives 16-bit of data while when audio is noisy, the buffer data is appended with zeroes and the higher order bits seem to get lost due to improper sync with the WS. Even removing the WS on receiver side once the audio has started playing doesn't stop the audio data from playing! Here is my code:uint16_t music1[64];volatile uint8_t buf_tx=0,flag_tx=0;void HAL_I2S_RxHalfCpltCallback(

Hi everyone,I use a custom stm32f0 board and i try to catch data coming from can bus and answer it back to can bus line. In the begining my program works good but after a couple of minutes mcu stucks in reset(i am not sure of the cause is from software or hardware but 'nrst' pin pulling down to 800mV-1.2V). i need power off and wait 15-30 min, for a reprograming. swd connection errors; 'couldn't be able to stop cortex-m device! Please check the jtag cable'in my design i made some mistakes such as; nrst pin isn't connected to pull up resistor and pull down capacitor. if i change the nrst pin pull up with 10k(or less) and pull down with 100nF will my problem solve? there is my custom design and code.

Hello,Concerning the AN3359, what is the unit of the figure 2 ?Thanks.

Hey,I´m confused why i can not use Pin PD2 on Cube MX on the Nucleo Board L433RC even though it should actually exist because it exist when you select another STM32L433.Without that Pin, i can´t use SDMMC. If i select for example the STM32L433RCTx, there is the Pin PD2. But if i try to use it with the Nucleo it wont work.Any suggestions?

Hello,I am configuring ScrollWheel on touchgfx. In order to select an option, I need to click on ScrollWheel. In order to browse all the options, I need to drag on ScrollWheel. So, I need both handleClickEvent() and handleDragEvent(). I also need to differentiate between a Click and a Drag action. But, upon drag action, my program control goes in handleClickEvent() only. It never reaches handleDragEvent() function. Please suggest how can I detect Drag event?

Posted on April 03, 2018 at 12:29Hello,I am working with CR95HF IC. I have some questions regarding it.1. How much read range can be achieved with how much Henry of antenna inductance. Can any one Please suggest.?2. Is it required that Antenna inductance and Tag antenna inductance should be same for good read range.?3. Does it support multi tag detection at same time ? If yes then how many tags at a time? Thanks & Regards,Margisha Dave

STM32CubeWB is the firmware package of the stm32wb series.when i clicked the Get Software Button，the page jumped to the home page.I have logged in to my ST Account.

I've configured bank1 FSMC to drive a LCD using CubeMx copying the various example code. I've set up FSMC-A18 to be the pin driving the Control/Data selection on the LCD. All data lines + OE and WR work perfectly but A18 sits continuously low whether I write to REG or RAM. I can't see in the examples how this is supposed to work as I can't find any code that sets whether it should be high for data/low for control or visa versa. The pin itself works fine if I drive it direct. This is my first use of FSMC and I'm clearly missing something - help appreciatedI can attach code and CubeMX images if that helps diagnose

Hi all, I have a C++ project running fine on the STM32H7 EVAL board that I need to port to an STM32H7 Nucleo board, because it closer resembles the final hardware I will be using. I generated a Nucleo project using CubeMX and added all the things I needed (Including FreeRTOS). I then converted the C project to a C++ project in True studio, and added all the source files, include directories, compiler flags, and linker flags. The EVAL project linker script places all user data in RAMD1 because it has the size required to hold the 128K stack required by the RTOS. When I alter the linker file of the Nucleo project for the same reason, the program gets stuck during startup, at the point of loading the c++ global constructors :/* Call static constructors */ bl __libc_init_array (When I say 'gets stuck' I mean the debugger can't step over or into this line. I believe the program jumps to an undefined interrupt with an infinite loop for debugging.)If I reduce the stack size of the RTOS

Hello,I appears that STD25N10 is designed to a replacement for the STD15NF10. Do you confirm?Do you have any comparisons or recommendations about external gate resistors when this device is used in a three phase inverter application? NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

Hi!I want use an VL53L1X sensor for our project. I "ported" to original ST api to TI chip and TIRTOS. But I cant measure any distance. Now I just want to try the sensor, so I using "polling" method. But when I call a GetMeasurementDataReady function, the "data_ready" variable not set. I am almost sure not problem with porting, because I can get the device Info. After I call GetDeviceInfo the struct has contains:name : Vl53L1 cut 1.1type: VL53L1product ID: 00000ProductType: 239 (0xef)RevMajor: 1RevMinot: 15 (0x0f)The drivers info is here:revision 1885major 2minor 3build 3My code is here: VL53L1_Error status; VL53L1_RangingMeasurementData_t ranging; // dev=&pdev;   uint8_t data_ready = 0;   init_i2c(); // dev.I2cDevAddr=0x52; dev.I2cDevAddr = 0x29;   PIN_setOutputValue(ledPinHandle, SENSOR_SHUTDOWN, SENSOR_OFF); Task_sleep(100000); PIN_setOutputValue(ledPinHandle, SENSOR_SHUTDOWN, SENSOR_ON); Task_sleep(100000);   status = VL53L1_WaitDeviceBooted(&d

I generated my code (HAR model) and could validate the process with random numbers. But, when I want to validate with my custom data, there is an ''VALIDATION FAILED'' error. please find the attachment contain the error and my csv test file. The file contain 3-axis of data for jogging and contain 62 rows of samples. please let me know what the problem is.Also I will appreciate if you upload a test csv file for custom data validation of HAR for better understanding. Thank you in advance
