Hi!I'm having trouble connecting to an STLINK ISOL via STM32CubeProgrammer. The STLINK is authentic, I purchased it from digikey. The programmer is detected under Device Manager. The programmer's LED remains static red at all times. Sometimes STM32CubeProgrammer detects an STLINK device, but when I click connect it gives 10:40:01 : STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.21.0 | Windows-64Bits10:40:09 : UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode10:40:14 : ST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR)10:40:14 : Error: Problem occured while trying to connect Changing to software reset10:41:23 : UR connection mode is defined with the SWrst reset mode10:41:28 : ST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR)10:41:28 : Error: Problem occured while trying to connect And then, when I click refresh interfaces the STLINK interface disappears.Disconnecting from USB and reconnecting, when I try to update firmware and open device in update mode it givesError connecting to device ST-LINK/V2 (error 0x21

Hello, I am using an STM32H723ZG6U and want to output a limited number of phase-shifted pulses on two pins. To do so I currently use TIM1 and TIM8 with PWM generation.TIM1 acts as the master timer having channel 1 in 'PWM Generation CH1' as the first output and channel 2 in 'Output Compare No Output' for the phase-shift. TRGO is configured as 'Output Compare (OC2REF)'. 'One Pulse Mode' is checked for this timer.TIM8 is the slave timer in 'Trigger Mode' with Trigger Source 'ITR0' which connects to TIM1. Channel 1 is configured as 'PWM Generation CH1' for the system's second output. This timer is also in 'One Pulse Mode'.Apart from that both Counter Settings and PWM Generation channels are configured identically to fit my needs. When starting both PWMs for the first time after controller startup everything works as expected (i.e. PWM on TIM1 sends a number of pulses and then stays quiet, same with a phase-shift to TIM1 with PWM on TIM8). Pictures of the configurations are attached.M

Good morning everyone,I need to apply the "Closed" product state to my device using the STM32H573VI.I don't need TrustZone enabled and want to use a password for debug authentication.I wanted to perform the operation via "code" using the HALs, but once I set the state to "Provisioning(0x17)" from "Open(0xED)," my firmware won't boot, and I can't even provision the *.obk file using the STM32CubeProgrammer.bool ProductState::set(states newState) { FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef flashOptionBytes= {0}; HAL_StatusTypeDef ret {HAL_ERROR}; if(newState == states::Unknown) { Log::msg("Invalid product state\n"); return false; } Log::msg("Setting product state to %s ...\n", toString(newState).c_str()); HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock(); flashOptionBytes.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_PROD_STATE; flashOptionBytes.ProductState = (static_cast<uint32_t>(newState) << FLASH_OPTSR_PRODUCT_STATE_Pos); Log::msg("Program state ...\n"); ret = HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&flashOpt

Follow-on from CubeMX code generation from command line.I am posting again in hopes of getting meaningful answer.I tried creating a simple script text file to automate code generation for my project. The script file has all of three lines:config load DCC_tester.iocgenerate code .exitThe feedback I got on why it did not work was my .ico file was corrupted. To prove this was not the case I used a very simple project file using one of your example projects from one of your released STM32H5 bundles.The only modification I made was changing the name and making it a cmake project.I am running on Windows 11 with CubeMX installed using all defaults.I can click on the .ioc file from Windows Explorer and the MX IDE opens just fine. I can click the "GENERATE CODE" button and that also works just fine. All the files are generated as expected.I try launching using the -q using ether a PowerShell script or a command line batch file and neither completes although it looks like its trying.

Hello everyone,I am currently working on a project using the STM32H755 microcontroller, and I am facing an issue with the program getting stuck in the `Reset_Handler` during debugging. Specifically, the code halts at the instruction `ldr sp, =_estack`, which sets the stack pointer, and does not proceed further.### Project Setup:- **Microcontroller**: STM32H755- **Core**: Only using the Cortex-M7 (CM7) core, with Cortex-M4 (CM4) code generation disabled.- **Debugger**: ST-LINK V3- **IDE**: STM32CubeIDE- **Firmware**: No custom firmware for CM4, only CM7 is active.### Steps Taken:1. I created the project with STM32CubeMX, configured it to use only the CM7 core (CM4 is disabled).2. During debugging, the code reaches `Reset_Handler` but gets stuck at `ldr sp, =_estack`.3. I have tried stepping through the code and confirmed the program halts at the stack pointer initialization.### Possible Causes Considered:- **Dual-Core Synchronization**: Since this is a dual-core MCU, I suspect there mig

A new question moved from this thread. Thank you a lot! But still I have many questions regarding this. Like this one: I have configured the ADC with the Temperature Channel and Vref int channel to be used with DMA. However in many examples they show how to configure the rank for the DMA but the rank option is missing within my CubeMX:   Is this a bug or I'm missing something?

Hi, I'm stuck on a problem with setting PWR_CR_VOS on NUCLEO-32 STM32L031K6- I want to select HSI16-PLL as clock source- VDD is 3.3V- FLASH latency is set to 1WSBut I can only set PWR_CR_VOS to RANGE 2 and RANGE 3.RANGE 1 cannot be selected, so I can't set HSI-PLL to 32MHzwhere am I going wrong?Example code:// Set the Flash ACR to use 1 wait-state// and enable the prefetch buffer and pre-read.FLASH->ACR |= (FLASH_ACR_LATENCY | FLASH_ACR_PRFTEN | FLASH_ACR_PRE_READ);//----------------------------------------------------// 1. Please read this post: How to insert source code. Hi This is something very easy that I am missing or impossible. I am using a nucleo-l476 to drive an RA8875 with a flash memory attached. This is using touch gfx to drive the RA8875 LCD. I am switching in/out of memory mapped mode to rewrite part of the flash memory so I can load different images into the flash memory and touch gfx will load the new images from the nor flash (This all works beautifully). what I am trying to do is have touch gfx load an image to a different part of the nor flash using partitioning.  see linker below.   MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 96K RAM2 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x10000000, LENGTH = 32K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 1024K QSPI_NOR (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x90000000, LENGTH = 8M QSPI_NOR_P (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x9

HI, how do I read the temperature value of a STM32C071 ADC and convert it into °C using DMA? I cant find any formula in the datasheet. BR Matthias

Hello to everyone,I'm using a custom board based over STM32H743XIH6.I'm developing a project that need to use TouchGFX, FreeRTOS and LWIP over ethernet. My first goal it's to be able to PING the card while TouchGFX is running, but i'm having lot of problems (hardfoults) If I enable only TouchGFX + FreeRTOS  all run wellIf I enable only LWIP + FreeRTOS  I can PING the cardIf I enable all (LWIP-FREERTOS-TouchGFX) I have lot of problems (HardFAULTS).Someone could share a simple project that can use all of them?I'm using a Custom board but i could try to a NUCLEO H743ZI  KIT too.Best Regards.Roberto

HiFrom the ST25R3919B datasheet, I cannot find or understand the voltage level of EXT_LM. Does the EXT_LM voltage level depend on the VDD supply?”BR

Hello,Has the integrated support for CubeMX been removed in the new CubeIDE?I just updated to the latest (2.0) and now, when clicking on the ioc file of a project (created with previous version 1.19), CubeMX opens up.The top right corner has also changed.Also all the new project dialogs have changed, and it does not generate an ioc file anymore... Did my update went wrong somehow?

i'm trying to receive some data by uart and send by spi, both dma normal mode, i've done comunication separately but when i join them get stuck on spi busy, i tried a lot rtos(queues and semaphores), i changed almost all the code, but i just can't do this alone, i need some help. I am starting now at this level of embedding sistem and i'll be greatfull if anyone cold help me.   this is my code for: RTOS: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * File Name : freertos.c * Description : Code for freertos applications ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2025 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * **********************

I want to use stm32f103rct6 inner RTC, I write some code as below to active RTC, But I found I couldn't set DBP bit of PWR_CR reg to 1,   __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_BKP_CLK_ENABLE(); LL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess();when I debug the reg as below(gdb) x/2x 0x40007000 0x40007000: 0x00000000 0x00000000

Hi I am evaluating NFC function on your STEVAL 25R3916B board, but I would like to see how it works with the I2C interface. Currently, the default configuration is SPI.I have downloaded STM32CubeIDE and STEVAL-25R3916B_V2.1.0 project code, but am not sure where should I put this definition "RFAL_USE_I2C", could you help me check where this macro needs to be placed?Thanks Leo

Dear community,first of all: I'm new to using STM32 controllers. I did some quite complex project using Arduino (consisting of Arduino Nano Every (ATMega4809) and a custom board using ATMega328P), but for my next project I consider switching to STM32 due to higher need for SRAM. So, I begin with simple blink-application to learn.Board used: Nucleo-L432KCIDE: STM32CubeIDE, STM32CubeMXOS: Win 11LED that shall blink: LD3 (the green one)So far, code is working, but with unexpected GPIO_PIN_3.I did some search here in the forum related to my question, but no sucess. Consulting documentation was also not helping at the end:With reference to User Manual UM1956 Rev 6, Table 16 on page 30, and schematic on page 33 (of Rev 5!, Rev 6 does not show the schematic), the green LED LD3 is connected to pin PB3 of STM32L432KC. In Table 16 of UM1956 the pin number is given for PB3 as 15.So, I would have expected to toggle the pin by using:HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_15);but instead I hav

Hello Forum,I upgraded my (alredy working) project, based on AT-Slave to the latestSTMCubeIDE: V2.0.0STMCubeMX: V6.16.0and STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.4.0My problem: suddenly I get Flash Error -6 "FLASH_IF_PARAM_ERROR" after "AT+CS".Is this a know issue? Before, all worked and "AT+CS" stored well.My Stack, derived from AT-Slave:AT+VER=? APPLICATION_VERSION: V1.4.0 MW_LORAWAN_VERSION: V2.6.2 MW_RADIO_VERSION: V1.3.1 L2_SPEC_VERSION: V1.0.4 RP_SPEC_VERSION: V2-1.0.3I think there might be some issue with the FLASH-IF-Driver? I also reconised in "lora_at.c" a missleading comment:(it should be 256kBytes, not 128), whereas ADDRESS is right. /** * @brief LoRaWAN NVM Flash address * @note last 2 sector of a 128kBytes device */ #define LORAWAN_NVM_BASE_ADDRESS ((void *)0x0803F000UL)Thanks for any help,Jo

Split from STM32G431CBU: section `.bss' will not fit in region `RAM' as that issue is solved, and this is a new question.One more question. If you can help.BSP_TS_Init e BSP_TS_GetState is not recognized in IDE versions 1.19 and 1.20.Therefore, TOUCH doesn't work.BSP_TS_Init(ILI9488_TFTHEIGHT, ILI9488_TFTWIDTH);BSP_TS_GetState(& osc->touchScreen);What did I forget to port?

Hello,I can't find reference to the expected chip markings for the ISM330DLC and IIS2MDC in their respective datasheets. My PCB assembler is requesting this information to validate the components.Are these the correct markings?ISM330DLC: SY 203IIS2MDC: M Thank you in advance for your time and kind regards,

In the STM32CubeMX configuration interface, there are two identical options here.They can be configured into different options.After generating the code, it will be based on the configuration of the second option.

There is an error in table 17 on page 33 in regards to two of the pin positions for the MB1880A adapter.  Table 17 states that pin 2 is SPI1_MOSIP (PA7) / UART1_TX (PC1) and pin 3 is SPI1_MISOP (PA6) / UART1_RX (PC0).  These two pins are reversed in both the CN2 and CN3 columns. In actuality, pin 2 is SPI1_MOSIP (PA7) / UART1_RX (PC0) and pin 3 is SPI1_MISOP (PA6) / UART1_TX (PC1).  This is confirmed by table 13 (page 28), the MB1779 schematic (MB1779-HIGH-BAND-B02 Board schematic under the B-WL5M-SUBG1 CAD Resources tab), and wasting an hour trying to determine why the I2C3 port was not talking to a device.

Im looking to use the STM32G0B1KBU processor including the USB-C interface.I only want to use it as a UPF with VCP and update the firmware, no advanced PD or role switching. The issue is that UCPD1_CC2 is not routed to a pin on the processor.Is it possible to substitute the UCPD1_CC2 function with the "Dead battery pulldowns" UCPD1_DBCC2?Will it work with the bootloader after the "dead battery" has been programmed/configured? I could place the CC1 & CC2 pulldowns discreetly on the board but i am space constrained.I could also switch to the N variant of the processor that seems to have the UCPD1_CC2 pin broken out. I Already have several of the GP variants laying around from a previous project and want to reuse them if possible.Thanks for any input!

Title edited to correct version number.I have not programmed in the IDE for a while.  But when I created a project, and edited the .ioc file, and told it to save and create the main.c file it did, and opened the main.c file. I am able to create a project, and it lets me go to the MX editor (I am in 1.9.0). I enable a couple of UARTS, Then I save. And it asks if I want to generate code, I say yes. And there is no code at all. There are only two files in the EPS_PDU_STM32L433RCT3 project directory the EPS_PDU_STM32L433RCT3.ioc.projectNone of the subdirectories were created, the main.c was not created. This used to work. I must have fat fingered something to screw it up. But I do not know what I did. I did see a warning on the project name in the Project ExplorerDescription Resource Path Location TypeProject 'EPS_PDU_STM32L433RCT3' has no explicit encoding set EPS_PDU_STM32L433RCT3 /EPS_PDU_STM32L433RCT3 No explicit project encodingI do not know what tha
