Hi Team  I am plannimng to connect the arduino and and STM32H7B3I-DK (MB1332B)I see that in the document USART4_TX PH13 D1 and USART3_RX PB11 D0I am getting confused how RX is on USART 3 and TX is on USART 4.https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00610478-discovery-kit-with-stm32h7b3li-mcu-stmicroelectronics.pdfsome thing which i am not able to get it right in the documentI have attached the images that shows the that UART TX4 and UART RX4 has the pin PH13 and PH14.https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/layouts_and_diagrams/schematic_pack/group1/e0/e5/29/92/9d/37/47/91/MB1332-H7B3I-B02_Schematic/files/MB1332-H7B3I-B02_Schematic.PDF/jcr:content/translations/en.MB1332-H7B3I-B02_Schematic.PDFBut when i tried to enable the code in the STM32IDE i see that the pins being used as PB8 and PB9 for UART4so how can i configure the UART pin in the code so i can use uart4 and receive the dataI have attached the images for references can anyone please h

Hello, We are using LPS22HH in SPI mode in our project. It seems that tying nCS =0 (not toggling it) disables SPI communication altogether. Is this observation correct?Does the nCS signal need to be toggled (asserted-deasserted) in order to trigger some internal state machine that enables communication? Thanks

Hi Guys, in the reference sheet of the STM32H753ZI Pg. 2212 it says "FWS is the audio samplingfrequency."There's a programing example provided at Pg. 2232 that says Sampling Freq = 48kHz.I tried this exact configuration, the MCLK, FWS, and SCLK are all correct, however when I see the sampling frequency its double of the FW? The green signal is the On and Off when the DMA triggers. Sample buffer is length of 4so it will trigger at 2 and 4. High is Complete and Low is Half CompleteYellow signal is the FWS CODE: MAIN()uint16_t RxBuff[4]; uint16_t TxBuff[4]; uint8_t TC_Callback = 0; uint8_t HC_Callback = 0; char uartBuff[8]; void DMA1_Stream0_IRQHandler(void) { if (((DMA1 -> LISR) & (DMA_LISR_TCIF0)) != 0){ DMA1 -> LIFCR |= DMA_LIFCR_CTCIF0; TC_Callback = 1; } else if (((DMA1 -> LISR) & (DMA_LISR_HTIF0)) != 0){ DMA1 -> LIFCR |= DMA_LIFCR_CHTIF0; HC_Callback = 1; }   }   int main(void) { init_Clock(); init_I2S(); init_Debugging(); init_In

I currently have the LSM6DS3 setup for FTH of 0xFFF, no decimation, 1.66kHz, continuous mode with FTH interrupt on interrupt 1. It seems like it is working ok - I see the FTH interrupt fire after about 400ms, which is right on time. When I read starting (SPI 4 wire) at FIFO_STATUS1, I see 0x00, 0xE0, 0x02, 0x00, then FIFO_OUT data (see scope screens). Now the FIFO is obviously full, both by the interrupt and by FIFO_STATUS2 = 0xE0, but the FIFO_STATUS1 = 0x00 means there is no data to read? Why would this be the case?I also don't understand what the FIFO_PATTERN is supposed to be telling me. I see only that FIFO_PATTERN1 = 1 and everything else 0. I expected to see six values in here, although even if I did, I don't understand how to interpret that register even after reading the datasheet and application note. I don't get how binary values can point to multiple possibilities (XL_X, XL_Y, G_Z, etc.) Or is it just telling me what the next two bytes of data are? If so, I don't see a map

STM32CubeMX in version 6.0.1 does generate an invalid alternate function setting for PC8 and TIM3_CH3 for STM32F030C8. The datasheet states that this should be alternate function 0. See https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32f030c8.pdf. A look into the relevant GPIO-STM32F051_gpio_v1_0_Modes.xml file reveals that the signal description for TIM3_CH3 maps to GPIO_AF1_TIM3 instead of GPIO_AF0_TIM3 in case of GPIO pin PC8.

I have a problem using CAN on STM32F103C8T6. I use this MCU on a bluepill board,a SN64HVD230 based CAN PHY and on the other end of the CAN bus a PiCAN2 board onRaspberry Pi. I drew a picture to show my setup:I want to have a 500 kbit/s-CAN-connection, I use the MCU with 16 MHz.My initialization code (I use the STM32-HAL-API) for the CAN is the following:#define CAN_RX_PORT GPIOA #define CAN_RX_PIN LL_GPIO_PIN_11 #define CAN_TX_PORT GPIOA #define CAN_TX_PIN LL_GPIO_PIN_12   void init_can_gpios(void){ LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(CAN_RX_PORT, CAN_RX_PIN, LL_GPIO_MODE_INPUT); LL_GPIO_SetPinPull(CAN_RX_PORT,CAN_RX_PIN,LL_GPIO_PULL_UP); LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(CAN_TX_PORT, CAN_TX_PIN, LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE); LL_GPIO_SetPinSpeed(CAN_TX_PORT, CAN_TX_PIN, LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH); LL_GPIO_SetPinOutputType(CAN_TX_PORT,CAN_TX_PIN,LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_OPENDRAIN); }   void init_can_periph(void){ LL_APB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB1_GRP1_PERIPH_CAN1); __HAL_RCC_CAN1_CLK_ENABLE();   hcan1.Instance =

Hello,I'm wondering if it is possible to apply highlighting on a letter of a textarea. Indeed, I want to notify user that is modifying one particular letter of a text area.Any idea of how we can do that with TouchGFX library ? (problem is that we can't know where are located letters and there isn't the same spacing between each letter in the typography used in my application)Best regards,AJT141

I'm trying to build the standard st-image-weston image following this guide:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageAfter starting the build with bitbake st-image-westonWhen it reaches around the 68% of the process I get the following error:ERROR: tf-a-stm32mp-2.2.r1-r0 do_compile: oe_runmake failed ERROR: tf-a-stm32mp-2.2.r1-r0 do_compile: Execution of '/home/osboxes/openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-06-24/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/stm32mp1-ostl-linux-gnueabi/tf-a-stm32mp/2.2.r1-r0/temp/run.do_compile.21431' failed with exit code 1: make: Entering directory '/home/osboxes/openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-06-24/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work-shared/stm32mp1/tfa-source' make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Dear SirsI have run PollingTagDetect application project on NUCLEO-L053R8 + X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 board successfully. And I have transferred PollingTagDetect project code to NUCLEO-G070RB + X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 platform. The terminal software can display ISO15693 UID and block data. But while scan ISO14443A tag the HardFault occurred immediately.Do you know the root cause? Are both Middlewares and ST25R3911B driver able to run on STM32G070R8 CPU?Thanks,Phil Huang

I'm comming from ecosystems (ESP-IDF, AVR, NPX..) and starting out with STM32 now. I have fond a bunch of "too simple" guides setting up some buttons and blinking leds and the usual, but those are too simple to be realistic. Then there is the super detailed guides like the security MOOCs and other tipis and trics series from ST and others. They have projects of good or too high complexity but never explain how to set them up from scratch, and most are too complex to have a look at and guess what everything is for. So, anyone have a tip where i can learn the right steps to start a project from scratch, or just get a clear picture of what everything in the more advance templates are for?

I am a student who is currently doing his bachelor thesis. My job is to control two microcontrollers (Nucleo-STM32F411RE) via Bluetooth (X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1) in order to transfer parameter values for a system. The idea now is to use the same program on the two microcontrollers. For this purpose, there should be a possibility in the initialization phase to be able to differentiate between the two boards in a simple way in order to then be able to continue with the further initialization that is correct for the board. Is there an easy way how to make the boards distinguishable?

Hi,STM32CubeMX allows to configure STM32H743 SYSCLK to 400MHZ, D1CPRE Prescaler to /2 and HPRE Prescaler to /1. (CPU CLK = 200MHZ and HCLK = 200MHZ)But this configuration is not allowed for the STM32H723. The HCLK box turns red and shows a message that HCLK clock must be <= 150MHZ. But HCKL max = 275MHZ for the H723.Is this a limitation of the STM32H723 or is it a STM32CubeMX bug?

Hi,I've noticed that C204 and C205 (tied to the ST25R3916 VDD_RF pin) are populated on the PCB Bottom Layer of ST25R3916-DISCO (The same applies to the NUCLEO board). These are the only components (necessary for the proper functioning of the board) that are soldered on this layer. My (logical) goal is to place the all components of my custom board on TOP Layer for a single reflow process. Therefore I have a couple of questions:How critical is it to place these two capacitors on the TOP face? How can it affect the operation/performance/stability of the ST25R3916?Thanks in advance, gaston

Here is a screen shot of the options. It appears that PWM modes 1 and 2 are missing.

Hi all, I am trying to switch to using FIT images and I am looking at the example .its file here:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/u-boot/blob/0e6522cbd1bfccd7281acdf8ab5ebbd37d29eab1/board/st/stm32mp1/fit_kernel_dtb.itsI am trying to understand why 0xC0008000 is used for the load address/entry point. If I understand correctly:By default, U-boot will load the FIT image to address 0xC2000000Then it will copy the kernel image to load address 0xC0008000, and jump to itThe kernel image needs to decompress itself to final address 0xC0008000; however since the entry point of the zImage is 0xC0008000, it will need to relocate itself first to some address which is higher than (0xC0008000 + uncompressed kernel length)And then finally decompress to final location 0xC0008000Wouldn't it be possible to skip the relocation in step 3 by choosing a different address for the load address/entry point in the FIT image? Thanks,Guillermo

I'm following the tutorials on the wiki about developing for the cortex-m4 on the DK2 kit. I'm facing trouble when I need to connect to the serial console, see image:The chars shown on the error message are random. Things already tried:Update ST-link firmwareSet COM port number to COM1 instead of com24Reconnect ST-linkRe-flash clean starter package on DK2 boardReinstall cubeIDE to a fresh 1.4.0Any idea how to resolve this error? I also got access to MDK-ARM, is there a tutorial or wiki page on how to use the M4 with MDK-ARM?

Where is pin on  STEVAL-SPIN3201 for connected other signals - from gyro or control signals? (Can I use UART? )

I'm modeling the pwm performance and would like to find a spice model for the driver stage --- thanks...

Hi, where can i get a BR2804-1700 motor from? need to use it with the STEVAL-SPIN3210 board

Dear members, I am using the NUCLEO-F303RE and X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1 boards. I have created a position control project which seems to work fine. At this stage I would like to introduce an ADC conversion, however I am able to request an ADC conversion but this never completes. Below is the code I have. Did anyone have a similar issue? RegConv_t PotentiometerConv;uint8_t PotentiometerHandle;void PotentiometerInitialise (void){ PotentiometerConv.regADC = ADC1; PotentiometerConv.channel = ADC_CHANNEL_9; PotentiometerConv.samplingTime = ADC_SAMPLETIME_61CYCLES_5; PotentiometerHandle = RCM_RegisterRegConv(&PotentiometerConv);}if(RCM_GetUserConvState() == RCM_USERCONV_IDLE)  /*if Idle, then program a new conversion request*/ RCM_RequestUserConv(PotentiometerHandle);if (RCM_GetUserConvState() == RCM_USERCONV_EOC) //if conversion is ready to be read { pot = RCM_GetUserConv(); //this returns the ADC value (the returned value is between [0 and 65535] where the max value equivals

Hi,Thanks for releasing the SBSFU version 2.4.0.Could you please let me know if it possible in this version to download the FW file to NOR flash.I would like to use NOR flash as Download slot. If it is possible, could you please give me an short overview on how can I achieve this. Thanks,Ankush

Hi,By checking the ST25R3916-DICSO BOM I've found the reference Y200 (27.12MHz Crysta Osc.l) The problem is I'm not able to find the part number NX2016SA STD-CZS-5 27.12MHz from NDK anywhere. What part is populated in the board? NDK does not give me any information without sharing project details. On the other hand, the alternative part number XRCGB27M120F3M00R0 from Murata (Lad cap: 6pF) does not match with the load capacitance of the DISCO board (10pF)Could someone clarify this matter?regards, gaston
