Solved

Hi @TDK ,I have just downloaded and installed the new version 2.0.0 of the IDE and the MX software (since it is no longer integrated). I was working on a project based on the STM32WB5MMG, and everything was working correctly with IDE version 1.19.0 and STM32Cube FW_WB V1.23.0.After opening the project and regenerating the code with the new IDE version and STM32Cube FW_WB V1.24.0, I noticed some issues: in custom_stm.c it generates two times this variables:/* USER CODE BEGIN PM */ /* USER CODE END PM */ /* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/ uint16_t SizeFw_Ver = 1; uint16_t SizeDatetime = 7; uint16_t SizeStatus = 6; uint16_t SizeMonitor = 15; uint16_t SizeEnv_Data = 90; uint16_t SizeFw_Ver = 1; uint16_t SizeDatetime = 7; uint16_t SizeStatus = 6; uint16_t SizeMonitor = 15; uint16_t SizeEnv_Data = 90;2. it doesn't generate any local functions in custom_app.c:/* USER CODE END FD */ /***************************************************

Hello,I am trying to communicate with an SDI-12 sensor through my custom STM32L4 pcb. The communication that I am trying to achieve is from a 3.3V microcontroller. Thus, I used the SN74LVC1G240DBVT buffer to convert my UART to SDI-12 data one wire, and also I had a MOSFET which converts my 3.3V of the pin to 5V (I have checked that the hardware wiring and voltages working as expected). For my UART protocol, I have this configurations: static void MX_UART5_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN UART5_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END UART5_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN UART5_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END UART5_Init 1 */ huart5.Instance = UART5; huart5.Init.BaudRate = 1200; huart5.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; // Including parity huart5.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart5.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_EVEN; huart5.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart5.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart5.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart5.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT

 I have seen recommendation for by pass capacitor to be 10 times the boot strap capacitor for Mosfet driver IC's. When i verified the schematics of mb1419-g431cbu6-c01_schematic The Boostrap capacitance value is 1uF but the By pass capacitance value is 470nF between VCC and Gnd. Request to please clarify.

There have been a few posts on this forum with the same issue, but it seems the root cause is different to this post or (probably) this one.I am using an Stm32f446re Nucleo, and trying to output a waveform from dac2 using dma and tim6.  What I have tried so far:   Trigger is set to Timer 6 Trigger Out event. DMA is configured in Circular Mode. I'm calling HAL_DAC_Start_DMA(...) Tried changing the data width to half word and word, neither worked. Callback functions are correctly named and defined in main.c: void HAL_DAC_ConvCpltCallbackCh2(DAC_HandleTypeDef *hdac) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_8); } void HAL_DAC_ConvHalfCpltCallbackCh2(DAC_HandleTypeDef *hdac) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_8, 1); } I want to be able to set a flag variable to start processing the next buffer. I will paste the rest of my code, it includes a (buggy) sine wave table but I can fix that once the callbacks are handled properly. It is just something to sen

I'm working on a battery management system using an STM32F302 going to an AEK-COM-ISOSPI1 dev board using the L9963T transcevier which is daisy-chained to 10 AEK-POW-BMS63EN boards using the L9963E chip.The problem that I'm having is that when I send a message over the ISO SPI lines, it adds an additional 0 before it sends the message.I have attached two messages that show the leading 0 bit that is added. msg 0x55 55 55 55 55 and msg 0xFF 00 FF 00 FF. SPI settings are8 bits frame MSB first Baud rate 1000 kbits/secCPOL lowCPHA 2 edgeCRC Disabled How would I go about removing the leading zero from the message? Any help would be greatThanks

Hi there ! here i'm for another question, are a day i'm go crazy with the SPI interface . I try to comunicate with MC33HB2000EX 10 A H-bridge, SPI programmable brushed DC motor driver. The datasheet write that: So i configure my SPI : and when i send data with  uint16_t spiData=0x2000;uint16_t spiRxData = 0x0000; i reset the CS pin HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT(&hspi1,(uint8_t*)&spiData,(uint8_t*)&spiRxData,1); i wait the callback function and i set the CS pin  no one data come out from MISO and i put on my analaizer and i don't understand why the clock start to logic high and no from logic low i don't know if is the real problem    I hope someone can help me  Thank you  Sergio

Environment:STM32F407VGTX USB HID mouse, Full SpeedProblem:Hi, I’m using a STM32F407VGTX board. I send a USB remote wakeup signal to the host and then try to receive a resume signal from the host. The STM32 board can wake up the host (bringing it to the login screen), but it cannot trigger the USB_OTG_GINTSTS_WKUINT interrupt. I have already configured my STM32 board as a HID mouse. However, if I use a real mouse instead, it can wake up the host and successfully trigger the USB_OTG_GINTSTS_WKUINT interrupt. Is there any suggestion or workaround for this problem? void usb_remote_wakeup() { if (hUsbDeviceFS.dev_remote_wakeup == 1) { __HAL_PCD_UNGATE_PHYCLOCK(&hpcd_USB_OTG_FS); HAL_PCD_ActivateRemoteWakeup(&hpcd_USB_OTG_FS); HAL_Delay(5); HAL_PCD_DeActivateRemoteWakeup(&hpcd_USB_OTG_FS); } }

I am trying to probe TC358743 (HDMI to CSI ic) to STM32MP257f-dk. The ic is able to take input from the HDMI from my laptop (I is being checked as when i give an edid as input from v4l2 then the screen of my laptop gets extended).The problem is in receiving the stream at stm32. TC358743 outputs 2 formats - MEDIA_BUS_FMT_RGB888_1X24 and MEDIA_BUS_FMT_UYVY8_1X16. Both of them are not supported by CSI input of stm.

I'm using Seeed Studio's Wio E5 board, LoRaWAN 1.0.3 and the repository Seeed Studio Wio E5 LoRa  as the base of my source code. I want my device to force a rejoin only when NVM context is not restored (e.g., after a reset or memory clear), and to resume using the previous session if the NVM context is successfully restored. I have already set LORAWAN_FORCE_REJOIN_AT_BOOT to false and CONTEXT_MANAGEMENT_ENABLED to true, and I noticed that even if NVM data is restored successfuly the device rejoins (which is wrong).

I need to use STM32CubeMX to generate initialization routine for two pins (7,8) on SO8 package of STM32CubeC011 MCU that switches the pin's roles BACK to STLINK mode. I created a new project on STM32CubeMX whose only task is to initialize pins 7 and 8 to PA13/PA14 SWCLK/SWDIO. I wanted to copy the GPIO initialization function MX generated into an existing application which had previously (that is, after start-up) changed the two pins to another mode; after that work is done, the two pins no longer need to be in GPIO mode and can be switched back to STLINK mode to facilitate firmware upgrade/debug/etc.Two screen captures from STLINK32MX are below (pin assignments and project specifications.)The resulting (very short) C language program generates the following code for initialization of the two pins: static void MX_GPIO_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN MX_GPIO_Init_1 */ /* USER CODE END MX_GPIO_Init_1 */ /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); /* USER CODE BEGIN M

Hi, I want to get synchronized samples from 4 microphones connected via I2S2 and I2S3. First I set one as master and other as slave and just connect Clock and Word Select, but I have only 0 values on slave interface. Is it possible to do it this way? Or there is another better one? I am using STM32H533

Hi all.I'm working on a project where my MCU (STM32H755) communicate with a device via UART at 921600 Bauds.Here some details about the environment:The device sends constantly, each second, a log at 921600 Bauds. The MCU sends at same speed some commands to the device, the device will answer after that the command is executed and continue to sends out log. There isn't any synchronization mechanism for communication (no clock signal or CTS/RTS is used), plus, there isn't any difference or special character that will allow me to differentiate between command answer and log, so I must take everything I receive in a window of time and parse it at upper level (not relevant for this question), and, finally, to manage the communication I tried with FIFO enabled and disabled (but result seems to not change)What I do to manage the communication is the following:1a: Flush Read data register (but is this sufficient in case of FIFO enabled?)2a: Enable DMA via HAL_UART_RECEIVE_DMA API3a: Enabl

Hi all,I am using STM32G030F6P6 and trying to read ADC channel 11 and channel 16 using DMA.ADC works correctly in polling and interrupt mode.When I enable DMA, the ADC values in the buffer remain 0 all the time.DMA does not trigger at EOC, and DMA transfer never happens.I have been trying for 1 week, and I cannot understand what is wrong.What I have done:Configured ADC correctly (calibration, sequence, sampling time, etc.)Configured DMA correctly (channel, source/destination, size, circular mode)Enabled ADC DMA request (DMAEN)Enabled DMAMUX (for STM32G0 series)But still no data is transferred and buffer remains 0. #include "stm32g030xx.h" #include "gpio.h" volatile uint32_t adc_value[2] = {0},adc_buff = 0, adc_index = 0; void delay_ms(uint32_t ms) { SysTick->LOAD = 64000 - 1; // 64MHz ? 1ms SysTick->VAL = 0; SysTick->CTRL = SysTick_CTRL_CLKSOURCE_Msk | SysTick_CTRL_ENABLE_Msk; for(uint32_t i = 0; i < ms; i++) { while(!(SysTick->CTRL & SysTick_CTRL_COUN

HiI'd like to do a memory-to-memory transfer, where I take a 8x12 px rectangle and copy it into a framebuffer. My display is 256x64px and it uses a grayscale 4 bpp format. My framebuffer size is 8192 bytes, and the rectangle that I need to copy is 48 bytes big. I'm confused whether I should use L4 or L8 because L8 seems more straightforward for my byte ordered graphics.I set my screen byte width to 128, and I used L8. My output image looks garbage, as if the alignment was off (bad stride maybe). What is suspicious is that the garbage image is 4 lines tall, which could mean that the stride is calculated with 2 bytes instead of 1. Based on the RM0468 I think in no PFC mode it only uses the foreground and if I use L8 as hdma2d.LayerCfg[1].InputColorMode = DMA2D_INPUT_L8; (which btw. couldn't be set with CubeMX) it could increment the address correctly. In addition, if I'm copying a 256x64px image to the frame buffer, it is working properly. void write_framebuffer(

Im trying to drive 3.5 inch TFT LCD with STM32H743 using FMC. My setup is : ChipSelect: NE1 Memory Type: LCD Interface LCD Register Select: A18 Data: 8 Bits My timing settings are (FMC Clock: 10Mhz):  Address setup time in FMC clock: 3 Data setup time in FMC clock: 2 Bus Turn around time in FMC clock: 2 Here are the parts of code: #define FMC_BASE ((uint32_t)0x60000000) #define LCD_CMD (*((volatile uint32_t *)(FMC_BASE))) #define LCD_DATA (*((volatile uint32_t *)(FMC_BASE | (1 << 18)))) When I try to write a data, as shown in the attachment, my logic analyzer shows me multiple WR event occured and shows some weird signals on data line (D0-D3). I do not understand where I did wrong...

Attempting to blink an LED using output compare function of a timer, but I've not been able to get signal or toggling to happen on the pin.I'm using TIM5 channel 3, because I'm planning on using SPI1 eventually (I need to use a clock source separate from SPI1, which is on APB2) and the TIM5 associated alternate function GPIO on PA2 is in a convenient location.Meter on the pin indicates a floating pin signal (not going high or low), and LED visually indicates same (no dim light or other visual indication of rapid toggling).The pin itself is fine as normal GPIO: setting same pin as GPIO (not alternate function for TIM5), I'm able to blink "manually" via software. It seems to just be using that pin as TIM5 that causes problems.Here's the CubeMX setup:My understanding from the datasheet is that TIM5 is on APB1:APB1 timer clocks set to 10.5MHz:...so TIM_CLK/CKD/((PSC + 1)*(ARR + 1))= 10500000 / 4 / ((43749 + 1) * (59 + 1))= 1 Hz (should be blinking once per second)

Hi Everybody!At this time I would like to use two EVAL6498L board for a DC brushed motor, (H-bridge setup).Selected mosfet is: IRFZ34NPBF.Selected PWM frequency: 20kHz width the STM32G431 MCU.The PWM signals are generated on the GPIOs, and I’ve verified that they reach the driver’s HIN and LIN pins. The low-side MOSFETs switch correctly, but the high-side MOSFETs won’t turn on. The bootstrap capacitors are charged to about 12 V (measured directly across the capacitor leads). The control table is the following:TIM1 chDriver InputForwardRevers1A LINForced HighForced Low2A HINForced LowPWM3B LINForced LowForced High4B HINPWMForced Lowhttps://www.st.com/resource/en/data_brief/eval6498l.pdfAdded R4 and R7 with 10 Ω resistors.What am I doing wrong?

When I open the official example using the example selector, CubeMX cannot display the graphical configuration of that example. I would like to know if it is possible to display the graphical configuration of the example in CubeMX. Thank you very much, because that would make learning much easier.

Hello everybody, I am currently trying to trigger a DMA request with TIM12. I have configured the timer in PWM Input Mode on CH1. While for every other timer there is available a DMA request, there is nothing for TIM12 except the one bellow(in RF0399): Is there any trick to come around from it? I found some older discussion but i didn't have any luck:How to trigger SPI DMA transfer using TIM12 TRGO on STM32H7  Timer events as DMA triggers - Improving the current situation in CubeMX/HAL  Thanks in advance for your time!

So coincidental enough all the projects I have done before required a RTC /w LSE. I am now working on a project that does not need a LSE, and I am finding that TF-A keeps throwing a panic because of this. The protos we had fortunately had the circuit DNL, so adding an LSE clock fixed the problem. Is there a way to disable this? or at least use the LSI? I tried configuring it to use the LSI but still same panic. //Error MessageNOTICE: Early console setupPANIC at PC : 0x2ffe6b5bException mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffe6b5bThank you for any help.

Hi everyone,I’m trying to control the backlight brightness of the display on my STM32N6570-DK using TIM8, channel 2 complementary (CH2N) in PWM mode (it's correct?).Current setup:TIM8 clock: 100 MHz (APB2 peripherals)Prescaler: 49Auto-reload (ARR): 99 → theoretically 100 brightness stepsPWM mode: PWMN (CH2N)Output: connected directly to the display BL pinTimer started with HAL_TIM_PWMN_Start(&htim8, TIM_CHANNEL_2)Problem:PWM only works when using very high PSC and ARR values (e.g., PSC=512, ARR=3126), but then the PWM frequency is very low (~60 Hz).With proper values for ~20 kHz PWM and 1000 brightness steps (PSC=4, ARR=999), the display is either fully on or fully off — no intermediate steps are visible.The display pin seems to accept only CH2N, not CH2 normal.Questions for the ST community:Is there an “official” way to drive the STM32N6570-DK backlight using PWMN with linear, visible steps?Are there any STM examples for backlight PWM on this DK board using TIM8_CH2N?Thanks in adv

Hi im working on stm32mp257f-ev1 and the "edt,etml0700z9ndha" display,Im unable to decode the logic why the back-light enable gpio only gets high when there is a display connected in the lvds port, what logic is used to detect the lvds display connection.Since i only see the display logs during boot only when there is a display connected, i need clarification regarding this from which driver this logic is implemented, and in the compatible string "edt,etml0700z9ndha" this is used but i found no driver with this compatible list.If in case i want to use the RVT101HVLNWCA0 what driver should i use and can i get a sample device tree for this display panel_lvds: panel-lvds { compatible = "edt,etml0700z9ndha", "panel-lvds"; enable-gpios = <&gpiog 15 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>; backlight = <&panel_lvds_backlight>; power-supply = <&scmi_v3v3>; default-on; status = "okay"; width-mm = <156>; height-mm = <92>; data-mapping =

Hi,Can the VPS_TX pin be powered with a voltage different from VPS? Specifically, can you connect VPS_TX to 5 V while VPS is at 3.3 V?I think it should work, but I would like your confirmation as I couldn't find this information in the datasheet.Thank you for your support.Marco
