Hello,I have just updated to the latest: STMECubeMX to version 6.1.1. and STM32CubeF1 Firmware Package V1.8.3 / 20-October-2020. Part Number: Stm32f103RCTx. And I have found the bug - probably ? When you use SDIO and define it as 1bit, the CubeMX claims that UART4 and UART5 become unavailable. It warns about conflict with SDIO_D2 and so on.But at 1bit mode I do not use SDIO_D2. And with previous version (5.6..?) of CubeMX it was working well. Something went wrong with this new Cube / Package version? I hope :) Best regards.Robert

Hi,I am working on interfacing IS25LP128 128Mbit QSPI Flash with STM32H743 Nucleo board. I am running into problem with how the QSPI controller is driving the NCS line. The flash requires that the chip select remains low between command and data read/write operations. But the way QSPI HAL APIs are provided, it required two different calls. First to set command, and second to transmit or receive data.The problem is that the QSPI controller drives NCS high between these call, and the flash reject the transaction. Is is something I am missing in using the QSPI HAL driver? Has anyone found any solution for this?QSPI Initializationstatic void MX_QUADSPI_Init(void){  /* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 0 */  /* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 0 */  /* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 1 */  /* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 1 */  /*

Hi,I am trying to implement CAN interface in STM32F072RBT6System clock speed - 8MHzBaud rate for CAN - 500KbpsPrescalar - 1CAN peripheral clock speed - 8 MHzso TQ - 16I have set the Time quanta seg1 - 9 Time quanta seg2 - 6 Time quanta sync width - 1But I am not sure about how to set the seg1 & seg 2 values.Can any one help me to clear this fundamentals, how to select these parameters?

Hi all, I am using X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 + NUCLEO-L476RG as for preliminary test. I've tested the SampleApp example and it works fine. The final goal is to use the BlueNRG-M2SA in a stm32h753XI custom board + custom antenna. I've tried to generate the SampleApp using cubeMX without success (same issue as descrived below)By now, I'm trying to use the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 within both, my stm32h753XI custom board and a NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q (this is dual core, but i'm only using the M7-core). I'm also using the SampleApp example with no success so far.I configure the necessary EXTI, CS, RESET pins for the SoC as well as the corresponding SPI interface. I'm always stuck at the same point: performing an hci_reset(); returns me a BLE_STATUS_TIMEOUT on the SPI send command because when doing a CS reset the IRQ pin never gets ready./* CS reset */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(HCI_TL_SPI_CS_PORT, HCI_TL_SPI_CS_PIN, GPIO_PIN_RESET);   /* * Wait until BlueNRG-2 is ready. * When ready it will raise the IRQ pin. */

So I'm looking at the reference manual of STM32F723 to find out how to control the USBPHYC peripheral. Actually there is no programmer's guide in there like for most peripherals, so I can only rely on the register map to find anything out about it. The LDO register has an LDO_DISABLE bit, that shall be set to 1 to disable the LDO.Now let's check the HAL drivers:stm32f7xx_ll_usb.c has USB_HS_PHYCInit() function to start the PHYC (but there's no function to stop it...). The first step of this function is: /* Enable LDO */ USB_HS_PHYC->USB_HS_PHYC_LDO |= USB_HS_PHYC_LDO_ENABLE;Well that's strange, I didn't find an LDO_ENABLE bit in the reference manual. But when I look at this definition, turns out:/* Legacy */ [...] #define USB_HS_PHYC_LDO_ENABLE USB_HS_PHYC_LDO_DISABLESo this is confusing. To "Enable LDO", one must set the DISABLE bit? There must be an error in either the HAL drivers or in the reference manual (+ the CMSIS header of the devices). The question is, which one is the in

I have a problem with the output in cp1251 encoding.settings that I made:Window--->Preferences--->General--->Workspace ---> entered CP1251 ---> next apple and closeproject ---> properties ---> Resourse ---> entered cp1251 ---> next apple and close Add code : char str[32]; sprintf(str,"Привет"); 4. rebuild project 5.I didn't get any errorsI opened it in notepad in the hex editor and saw the following words for the word "привет":d0 9f d1 80 d0 b8 d0 b2 d0 b5 d1 82

Why does this happen ? Could this, in part, be due to me not knowing whether to choose "new C project" vs "new C++" project?Using: STM32CubeIDE 1.5.1Build: 9029_20201210_1234 (UTC)OS: Windows 8.1, v.6.3, x86_64 / win32Java version: 1.8.0_272

When debugging start-up problems, I've found this stack in TrueSTUDIO: According to the Programming Manual, an exception return value of 0xffff fff9 denotes "Return to Thread mode, exception return uses non-floating-point state from MSP and execution uses MSP after return.".While I don't know what MSP refers to (m... stack pointer?), I'd be interested in which exception the MCU returned from.Note that in all my error handlers, I have an infinite loop, so that they show up in the stack, and cannot be left except for interrupts.void HardFault_Handler(void) { volatile uint32_t cfsr = SCB->CFSR; volatile uint32_t hfsr = SCB->HFSR; volatile uint32_t mmfar = SCB->MMFAR; volatile uint32_t bfar = SCB->BFAR;   while (1); }So which handler could have been left here, if all handlers in stm32f7xx_it.c have infinite loops (with the exception of SysTick_Handler)?

I wanted to classify gas sensors data which is acquired through industrial sensors using Machine learning algorithm on STM board. Any idea which variant of STM32" will work best for this application?

Hello, maybe a newbie question but I just received my very first STM32 board (Nucleo H745ZI-Q) to learn embedded programming (mostly for fun and maybe for neuroscience applications in the future) and have been trying to generate code using the default settings in CubeIDE. The code generation goes smoothly using the default settings, but then in the project properties window, no toolchain is set for the generated project (attached screenshot) and I can't compile the code. However, Using the same IDE, I noticed that I can generate code for other boards like STM32F1, and In this case, the toolchain is set correctly and everything works fine.Does CubeIDE 1.5.1 support Nucleo H7 series boards? Already tried re-installing the IDE.

My initial thought was that while some pins are connected to other peripherals on the discovery board, that they may still be used for GPIO. Is this true, or can a pin not be used for GPIO if connected to a peripheral, even if that peripheral is not used (e.g. SDRAM, gyroscope, etc.).

NSS the output ignores the settings, and according to the waveform, the outputs are in the hiz state, because you can see the leads that are not damped by pressing to the ground. (STM32F303)   //   Bit 4 FRF: Frame format   //   0: SPI Motorola mode   //   1 SPI TI mode   //   SPI2->CR2 |= 1<<4;    //   Bit 3 NSSP : NSS pulse management   //   This bit is used in master mode only. it allow the SPI to generate an NSS pulse between two   //   consecutive data when doing continuous transfers. In the case of a single data transfer, it   //   forces the NSS pin high level after the transfer.   //   It has no meaning if CPHA = ’1’, or FRF = ’1’.   //   0: No NSS pulse  &nbs

Hello,I have one question regarding the ADC1/2/3 cores for the STM32H7 (dual core solution). Let's say, I would like to split few ADC channels between both ADC cores and Cortex cores. Is it possible to assin channels 1,2,3 for ADC1 core (regular groups) on cortex m4 and channels 4,5,6 on ADC2 (regular groups) on cortex m7? Then the sampling is executed in its core specific context . I have seen on the Cube that you can define the initialzation context which is executed core-specific. However, as that resources is shared between both cores, you could still access it. But anyhow I would like to know if such an approach is feasable to split the channels between the cores (and use them ADC-core specific independantly without any problems) when both cores are running.

Hello, It's my first try with Usb directly on an MCU, i used stm32cube mx and code generator to make a first test but when i'm running a simple cdc code i get windows throwing me an error about usb bad descriptor.I linked my ioc and my usb schematic, i tried with and without the filter inductance(usb connected is just wired to an exti)

It is well known that STM32Cube IDE & MX both has quiet good support for FreeRTOS, but my question is a bit different and related to SafeRTOS, I'm just wondering if ST has support for SafeRTOS as well or not?!I'm well aware that SafeRTOS comes with license and we have license for the same, with proper license if ST can provide support on Cube MX for development with SafeRTOS.

Hi, some year ago i loaded STM32CubeIDE_1.2.0 and the package STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.24.0 and i make some project (26). Now I load STM32Cube32 1.5.0 and package STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0.The packages are loaded in the same area (Repository).I try to import in different working area an old project and try open the .ior file.The system say:"The Firmware Package (STM32Cube FW_F4 V1.24.2) or one of its dependecies required by the Project is no available in your STM32CubeMX Repository"you can donload the missing Firmware Package,or you can migrate the project and work the latets version of the Firmware Package.....Download now or Migrate Project ?"Firts I try to download.The system try to download a file "stm32cube_db_v5050.zip" ; the download is executed (24.4MBytes); when teminated, (the blue bar is at extreme right) the system attend some second (10) and say "Error downloading the following file stm32cube_db_v5050.zip (Timeout during download)".Only one Botton "OK". No resp

Hi,My St-link on board the STM32F7508-DK is corrupted and i cannot flash it over usb anymore.I've manage to find a Stlink V2 binary and it works ok for flashing but not for debugging.Also the V2 version does not have the ST-link in mass storage for drag and drop programmation.Is it possible to provide the binaries to be able to flash the ST-link MCU with the STlinkV2.1 firmware version?

Hello,I use a STM32F429 with touchgfx.From my GUI, I would like to use hardware features of my card like RTC for example, so I activated the RTC on the STM32 and re-generated the code.So from my "Screen3View" file generated by touchgfx, I make an include of #include "stm32f4xx_hal_rtc_ex.h" to be able to use the rtc features on my GUI.But when I compile, I get more than 300 errors.Also, I noticed that if I import any module "stm32f4xx_hal..." then I get exactly the same errors.I don't understand the errors...Here's my code and it's the third line that poses a problemand thats the errors i get...#include <gui/screen3_screen/Screen3View.hpp> #include <math.h> #include "stm32f4xx_hal_rtc_ex.h" Screen3View::Screen3View() { } void Screen3View::setupScreen() { Screen3ViewBase::setupScreen(); dynamicGraph1.clear(); } void Screen3View::tearDownScreen() { Screen3ViewBase::tearDownScreen(); } void Screen3View::handleTickEvent(){ if(++tickCounter % 10 == 0){ //dynamicGraph1.clea

Hello. I would like to know how much current a DAC pin is able to source. The STM32G081 datasheet indicates "Output current sourced by any I/O and control pin = 15mA". Is this 15mA also an upper limit to a DAC sourcing pin? The STM32G081 datasheet also indicates "I DDA(DAC), DAC consumption from V DDA, DAC output buffer ON, max = 670 uA". Is the current upper limit of a DAC pin 15 mA or 670 uA ?Many thanks !

Hi,I am trying to setup CAN communication in the SPC570S-DISP dev board. I started with the example available in the SPC5Studio. In the example, internal loopback is enabled, so I disabled it to allow external transmit. I did not change any other settings, as they looked okay to me. In the timing setup section, according to the values that were already set in the example, it has a bit rate of 500 kbps. However, after uploading the code to dev board, and monitoring from a CAN analyzer, no messages seem to be come and the analyzer shows an error. I would like if someone can help me in this matter. I have attached screenshots of the settings and timing setting.Thank you.NisalAccording to the clock settings, the CAN clock is set at 40 MHz,

I bought the product, where can I get the basic firmware file for this product? I also want to see the basic code written in STMCUBEIDE. Thank you.

Hi. I'm working on project where I need short pulses with precise periods generated in audio ranges (10 - 20kHz). So I decided to choose TIM2 and using it in PWM mode. I'm using HAL library and configuration code generated by CubeMX:void MX_TIM2_Init(void) { TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};   htim2.Instance = TIM2; htim2.Init.Prescaler = 2; htim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim2.Init.Period = 24000; htim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim2.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE; if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim2) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } sClockSourceConfig.ClockSource = TIM_CLOCKSOURCE_INTERNAL; if (HAL_TIM_ConfigClockSource(&htim2, &sClockSourceConfig) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_TIM_PWM_Init(&htim2) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } sMasterConfig.MasterOutputTrigger = TIM_TRGO_RESET; sMas
