HiI need a big heap for some json parsing. How do I re-locate the heap into SDRAM? Obviously this needs to happen fairly late in the initialisation sequence once the SDRAM has been set up and initialised. Is there an equivalent of __set_MSP() ?Thanks

Dear all, first I have to say that I am new to STM32F7 mirocontrollers, but I am not new to ARM-Cortex M4/M7 based controllers in general, nor the lwIP stack nor FreeRTOS.I have the following two problems:SMT32F767ZI + lwIP + FreeRTOS: I tried to build a simple application using the lwIP+FreeRTOS (on a Nucleo-F767ZI board) using STM32CubeIDE (1.5.1). I set up a new project, configured my MCU and tried to ping my board. This, indeed, does not really work. There is a reply to the ping response, but it is a kind of "mysterious" data (a lot of 5s, which looks like a part of the synchronization sequenz of ethernet frame, but this should not be catched by Wireshark, see the attached file). I debugged the lwIP stack down to the point, where the response is sent and I have to say that even the data, which are referenced by the DMA transmit descriptors, seem to be OK (it is not the sequenz of the 5s, which is seen in Wireshark). Is there anybody, who has ever encountered such a problem? As PING

Hi everybody,I'm currently working with STM32CubeMX on manjaro linux. I downloaded the X-CUBE-AI Artificial Intelligence v5.2.0 package directly from the Embedded Software Packages Manager. I'm primarily interested in the stm32ai command-line interface, problem is, it just isn't there. According to the documentation in command_line_interface.html, the stm32ai application should be found in X-CUBE-AI/5.2.0/Utilities/linux. However, the Utilities/ folder is missing. I tried installing older versions of X-CUBE-AI (5.1.2 and 5.0.0) and I also tried downloading the extension from the website instead of STM32CubeMX: nothing!Any hint will be appreciated.Michele

I want used QSPI flash running program. W25Q64, used stldr file is ok,but always have problem,Build error，region FLASH overflowed by 31220bytes，I have a big photo array, more than internal flash 128k,I search before post，change this flash.ld file?I have no idea.Could you please help me?Thanks!!

I ordered the STM32H757 EVAL expecting to have some example projects but when you download the H7 package there is nothing that is ready to go for the H757.  The H7 package only has the H747.

I am following a Udemy course and we are learning to make a driver from scratch. I know, not practical, but it has taught me how it can be done and helped learn how to read the datasheet better. Anyway, I have written the below code to write to the RCC and FLASH registers to configure the clock. Though how can I test this? I tried to toggle an output pin on and off and it seemed terribly slow, around 1.4MHz. I am manipulating the register for the output directly as well. Any hints for this 32 bit beginner?https://pastebin.com/9NkF34Hhhttps://pastebin.com/QenbnU12

Hello,I'd like use several gpio buttons to onboard CN2 connector (STM gpios PF0, PF1, PF3, PF4, PF6, PF8). So I've add following string to stm32mp157c-dk2.dts filebuttonkeys {      compatible = "gpio-keys";      left-key {         label="Left key";         gpios=<&gpiof 0 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>;         linux,code=<105>;               };evtest gives me multiple events (press/release) when key not pressed. So what is cause of this and how to correct add gpio processing? Thanks,Alex

I'm using the temperature sensor in LSM6DSRX.In page 12 (4.3 Temperature sensor characteristics) of the Datasheet (see the image), what is "Toff" (Temperature Offset)? The Table 4 gives a range of -15 to +15 C for Toff, what is this range for? The Table also gives the operating range of -40 to +85 C. I was wondering how to use "Toff" in calculating the temperature ?Thanks for any help!

The STEVAL-MKI197V1 has standard breadboard pins on it. The muRata dk (WSM-BL241-ADA-008DK) has available connection points in position JP4 - looks like the right place to attach. Is there a ribbon cable or adapter to connect these two boards together?? thank you! (see photos)

RTC used the LSE with 32768Hz oscillator and is configured for this option. While DBP bit is set RTC counter is stopped . Is it true or false?

I've used a number of times LSM6DSL IMU sensors and I never had any problem with them: they are in general very precise and straightforward to use. However, in a recernt pre-production run, some accelerometers provided strange values on one or two axes compared to the usual values. In these conditions (stationary board in horizontal position) the expected values on two axes should be close to 0 g, i.e. raw values in the range of about +-200 for a full scale of 16 g. This happen with most units, but on some others (identical firmware, identical boards) we get much greater values, something like >5000 or even >16000, that, by the way, are normally sensitive to the self test stimuli. The problem seems to be only in the accelerometer values: other functions work correclty. My question is: are these values something "normal", that can/must be corrected through calibration (with the offset registers or in firmware)? Or have I to assume that these devices have been simply damaged during

I met a strange "problem" with TGFX. Let's say, on one screen, it contains a few buttons and a container. the container is on top of the screen and invisible when the screen is initialized. The problem is when I set the container visible, I found buttons under the container are touchable, even though I cannot see them (the container covers the whole screen). Is this normal? what should I do if I want only the "visible" widgets being "activated". Thanks in advance.

Need help!I am unable to write or read an RFID TAG using the st25ru3993-eval. I'm not finding much information! Can someone help me?

Can anyone provide version 1.4.0 of stm32cube fw F1 ?I'm using Atollic TrueStudio 9.3 to maintain old project, but I can't download that version. My STM32 model is : "stm32f103cb"Full string, as found in .IOC file : "STM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.4.0".Thank you in advance.

HelloI want to write to FLASH variable uint32_t time at power off. Which signal to use for this? greetingsAndrzej

I have a stm32f427 with 1Mx16 external SRAM and SDMMC.I am reading the SDMMC by DMA into the SRAM in two blocks of 512 bytes into a 1024 byte buffer. The SRAM is mapped from 0x64000000 - 0x641fffff. Address and data are not multiplexedI have now discovered that if I set the start of the buffer to 0x64033c98, the 8 bytes from 0x64034000 to 0x64034007 never get updated. Everything else is rock-solid and correct including all the way up to 0x64034097.The processor is clocked at 144 MHz.I set up the FMC with: FMC_Bank1->BTCR[0] &= ~FMC_BCR1_MBKEN; // Bank 1 SRAM 1 enabled by default but we use Bank 1 SRAM 2 FMC_Bank1->BTCR[2] = (FMC_Bank1->BTCR[2] & 0xffe70080) | FMC_BCR2_WREN | FMC_BCR2_MWID_0 * 1 | FMC_BCR2_MBKEN; FMC_Bank1->BTCR[3] = FMC_BTR2_CLKDIV_0 * 1 | FMC_BTR2_DATAST_0 * 2 | FMC_BTR2_ADDHLD_0 * 1 | FMC_BTR2_ADDSET_0 * 1; // reliable at 144 MHzThe fact that the missed bytes are aligned to the FMC address makes me think the problem lies at the FMC end rather tha

I need to send data one byte at a time via SPI. After transferring the byte, I set "Chip Select" from the program to state 1. I track the end of the transfer by the BSY bit in the SPI_SR register. But the microcontroller transmits two bytes, the first byte is the value from the DR register and the second byte 0. The transmission length is set to 8 bits. I tried to set a different transmission length, but the microcontroller always sends two transmissions of the length I set. Below is the initialization code.RCC-> APB2ENR | = RCC_APB2ENR_SPI4EN;// CPHA = 1 // CPOL = 1SPI4-> CR1 =SPI_CR1_BR_1 | SPI_CR1_BR_2 | SPI_CR1_BR_0 | // Baud rate = Fpclk / 256SPI_CR1_MSTR |SPI_CR1_CPOL |SPI_CR1_CPHA |SPI_CR1_SSM |SPI_CR1_SSI;SPI4-> CR2 = SPI_CR2_DS_0 | SPI_CR2_DS_1 | SPI_CR2_DS_2;SPI4-> CR1 | = SPI_CR1_SPE;Send dataLCD_CS_Clr();_delay_us(2); SPI4->DR = data; while((SPI4->SR & SPI_SR_BSY) != 0); _delay_us(2); LCD_CS_Set();_delay_us(2);

Hi,I have a stm32l433 chip and i'm using the internal RC Oszilator HSI.My issue was that code generated straigth from cubemx turned the chip to run too fast, my HalTick was like 1.2 Khz instead of 1kHz. Now i tracked the error down to a bad configuration of the HSI trim registers within the HAL libraries. Followed listed what i've found:RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT;This one gets the default value from stm32l433xx.h which says;#if defined(RCC_ICSCR_HSITRIM_6) #define RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT 0x40U /*!< Default HSI calibration trimming value 64 on devices other than STM32L47x/STM32L48x */ #else #define RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT 0x10U /*!< Default HSI calibration trimming value 16 on STM32L47x/STM32L48x devices */ #endif /* RCC_ICSCR_HSITRIM_6 */Now this RCC_ICSCR_HSITRIM_6 is beeing defined so it takes the 0x40U.So this checks if HSITRIM is 7 bits wide. which is according datasheet correct: Now i see the reset value should be 0x40xx 00x

I’m having some trouble getting u-boot to boot from eMMC. I’ve evaluated my system using the DK2(using SDCARD) and i’m now porting to a custom board. The custom board contains a STM32MP157CAB and a eMCC connected at sdmmc2.My u-boot devicetree(stm32mp157c-cau-mx-u-boot.dtsi) contains the following:aliases { usb0 = &usbotg_hs; mmc0 = &sdmmc2; };The first problem is the eMMC flashlayout file created by the distribution package, it is configured to use MMC1 by default. Is there a way to edit something that the file is created with MCC0 as default? The second problem is with u-boot, it stills want to boot from MMC1:NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP157CAB Rev.B NOTICE: Model: <product name> INFO: Reset reason (0x15): INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por) INFO: Using EMMC INFO: Instance 2 INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1 NOTICE: BL2: v2.2-r1.0(debug):v2.2-dirty NOTICE: BL2: Built : 13:36:23, Oct 22 2019 INFO: Using crypto library 'stm32_crypto_lib' INFO: BL2: Doing platform setup INFO: RAM: DDR

Hi,I'm currently working on a STM32H753. I'm trying to figure out how an ECC error upon a cache look up is reported. The cortex M7 reference manual doesn't provide much info in that regards with the following text:Each cache can also be configured with ECC. If ECC is implemented and enabled, then the tagsassociated with each line, and data read from the cache are checked whenever a lookup isperformed in the cache and, if possible, the data is corrected before being used in the processor.A full description of ECC error checking and correction is beyond the scope of this document.Contact ARM if you require more information.I'm expecting a bus fault to be reported but I'm not able to find a documentation with that information. I'm waiting for an answer from ARM but is there anything specific to the implementation made by ST that would impact how this fault would be reported ?Kind Regards,David

Hi AlWondering how do you test the infrastructure before delivering it to the application teams?I’m basically referring to the HAL layer , CMSIS and all BSP layer with peripherals. Is there a known methodology for validation tests for these capabilities ?Thanks!

Hello! I am using dark theme on STM32CubeIDE 1.5.1, and FreeRTOS debugging feature. It is a cool feature, but in dark theme FreeRTOS task list is completely unreadable. Light font on white background. What should I do to make font or background darker? Thank you in advance.
