Hi there,I am working with tfmini lidar and i am using USART3.However i am getting the garbage in the virtual port any idea how can i resolve this but i am getting the right header i.e YY in decimal. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

I use STM32MxCube to install example code. I selected STM32H7 to finde the Nx_Iperf example for the STM32H747I-DISCO board. When I select Start Project, the progress bar runs to completion then I get a message "FAILED TO INSTALL EXAMPLE: Nx_Iperf". STM32MxCube works for other examples, such as Nx_SNTP_Client.How can I install this code?

Posted on November 23, 2017 at 13:09Hi everyone,I'm developing an HID Host application to comunicate with a own device and I'm using the NUCLEO-F446ZE board. At the start I tried to use the HID_Standalone application in the STM32CubeF4 firmware package and then, I tried to develop a new application with STMCube configurator. In both case I tried to connect (with OTG connector) 3 different type of mouse and 1 keyboard and no all device are able to comunicate with microcontroller: with Typhoon mouse 40260 the USBH_Process state machine in the usbh_core.c file of the Middlewares, blocks in the HOST_ENUMERATION state (line 462) because the USBH_HandleEnum(phost) function try to get device descriptior (line 646 same file) but the USBH_HandleControl() function read all times USBH_URB_NOTREADY state (line 600 of usbh_ctlreq.c) until HAL_HCD_Disconnect_Callback() called by interrupt.with Trust mouse 16144 is the same with Typhoon mouse with difference that the HAL_HCD_Disconnect_Callback() isn'

I have an STM32MP157F-DK2 board. I want to be able to build my own image from scratch and I keep hitting knowledge gaps in the how-to guides on the st wiki page. I have tried to follow multiple guides including this one: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_manage_OpenSTLinux_project_in_STM32CubeIDEWhat I have done:I have took the default pinout from the STM32MP157F-DK2 from STM32CubeMX and generated the Device tree for that. I have opened the ioc file within STM32CubeIDE.I have setup OpenSTLinux as per the instructions in the how-to guidesWhere I am stuck:I don't have any reference for the run or build configurations.I have not found any information to find the Eclipse or build artifiacts as found in the example I have linked:What I have:What I am looking to do, as per the guide:

Hello everyone,I would like to ask for some guidance on which Interrupt i should use for FreeRTOS message queue to help synchronize my state machine. I am using UART to transmit data to device, and i would like to know if i have finished transmitting. Should I use DMA Transfer Complete or UART Transfer Complete? Thanks!

Hello. I need STM with external Vref 3V. But I don't need so much pins like 100pins in ST where we have special pin Vref. Could I use VDDA/Vref pin in STM32F103RC according to drawing belloow? I wanna connect precision voltage reference to VDDA on 3V, and normal 3V from other high power source for VDD. Is it possible or not? If is not possible could you explane why? I don't want use external ADC for this application because it is expansive. Thank you.

I'm trying to measure an IoT device current consumption with the devKit STM32L562E-DK. It claims to measure currents from 300 nA to 150 mA but I'm unable to measure any current beyond 50mA. To run the tests I'm using STM32CubeMonitor-Power and the board works fine with low currents but it stops as soon as the Tx (LoRa) starts.[https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/evaluation-tools/product-evaluation-tools/mcu-mpu-eval-tools/stm32-mcu-mpu-eval-tools/stm32-discovery-kits/stm32l562e-dk.html]Am I missing anything? Kind regards,Diego

Hi,I have started using touchgfx recently and am having trouble accessing examples. When I open the designer I am able to see my applications and online applications, but I cannot access the example UI's nor can I access any online applications.I get a red cloud logo next to "Create New Application" that pops up telling me the package server cannot be reached and that no online packages can be found. I get this in both 4.10 and 4.12.3. I am having our IT department look into this to make sure its not something on our end but is there any other reason this could be happening?-Thank you.

Does LSE have any power-saving advantages over LSI when the RTC is used to periodically wake up from low-power modes? Or does it just provide better accuracy for the RTC? For example, let's say you only use the RTC to wake up from stop mode, but never check the time and date: would you use an LSE, or LSI? Thank you.Tangent: Do you need to manually disable (then later re-enable) peripheral clocks (like those in apb1 and ahb) to maximize power saving, or is that done automatically by `stop`? The RM implies it `gates` peripheral clocks, but I'm curious if I should be manually turning off and on each one. Or perhaps you only need to manually disable/re-enable ones listed on the low power supporting documents (like AN4621) as being avail for a given low-power mode? So in L4 Stop2, maybe you need to disable I2C3 if you used it, but not the timers.

I purchased STEVAL-PCC009V2 board along with EVAL6480H.Board is working only with full step mode.I am unable to change other step modes. I did following things,-Updated latest firmware(STSW-PCC009V2FW-2.1.0)-Using SPIN family Evaluation tool,STSW-SPIN002(version-3.2)what may be the problem?

Hello, I can not find any information on calibration of the acetometer in the LIS2DW12.Is it something we can do ourselves, is it done automatically etc.Would like a reference or explanation.Thank you

I have just updated a board design, replacing the STM32L433CC with an STM32L4P5RE. I have no problems using the RNG on the L433. However, with the L4P5, I get only one result from the RNG before it give a seed error.RNG: CR = 00800004, DR = 9a4c8249, SR = 00000001...RNG: CR = 00800004, DR = 00000000, SR = 00000044One thing I find odd is that I would expect the RNG to be able to provide 4 32-bit random values from DR if it worked once given that the RNG produces 128 bits of entropy at a time. The clocking of the RNG is slightly different in the two boards. Both are clocked from PLLSAI1Q at 48MHz. The PLL is fed by the MSI on the 433 and from a HSE (TXCO) on the new board. The AHB is clocked at 80MHz on the L433 and 120MHz on the L4P5. PeriphClkInit.UsbClockSelection = RCC_USBCLKSOURCE_PLLSAI1; PeriphClkInit.RngClockSelection = RCC_RNGCLKSOURCE_PLLSAI1; PeriphClkInit.PLLSAI1.PLLSAI1Source = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSE;I tried changing the RNG clock source to the HSI48 and experienced the same pro

Hello everyone,Since about yesterday afternoon, I cannot see any application template and UI template (except for simulator on PC) when I want to create a new application on TouchGFX. A red icon has appeared next to "Create new application" that says: Package server at http://packages.touchgfx.com/V2/packages.json.zip can not be reached. No online package can be found. You can continue working but only already installed packages are availabe. The remote server returned an error: (403) ForbiddenIs this happened to anyone else ? If so, how can I fix this issue ?Thanks in advanceTristan

I'm using stm32l476jgy6 MCU, it has 3 SPI busses, I'm using all of 3 SPI busses for different peripherals. If peripheral on SPI1 fails to communicate with MCU, will it cause any effect on other SPI busses? I've a scenario where I'm using BLUENRG-MS on SPI1, lsm6dsm and lsm303agr sensors on SPI2, external SPI flash on SPI3. all of these peripherals are not working, but when lsm303agr removed from the board, rest of the components started communicating to MCU. there is no code blockage, controller is running continuously. I'm using Sensor tile as a base hardware design, ALLMEMS as a base firmware.Need help understanding the issueThanks

Good morning.I am using the STM32446E-EVA board.I want to read data about video from CAMERA through serialI am not sure where it is because it is the DMA part.In order to read CAMERA data, which function part can we know by reading the value in part???It seems to be of great help.Thank you.

Hi,due to size of project, i would like to know if there is some plugin to distribuite compilation over more cores like Incredibuild does on visual studio or is it possible, meaning it is supported to develop for stm32 under visual studio.Even other suggestions about distribuited compiling to speed up the process.Regards

(edited this post from previous panic language; still think its good to keep it around - and a suggestion: there should be a tag/category for "Community Website")Well, since ST asked me to register for downloading software, I thought I'd be honest, and enter my real name ... however, I experienced something unexpected, that felt as if ST wanted to doxx me!So, after registering on st.com, I register for this forum - and when I check the profile settings, the real name (that I entered originally) is nowhere to be found: I cannot see my real name anywhere there ... So I guess, if I cannot see my real name in the forum profile settings - then it will not figure anywhere in the forum, right? But, then I check the forum overview, and what can I see - my real name sitting there: Even worse - after this, I logged to st.com, changed my name there, logged off, logged back in - st.com did NOT show my real name anymore - but this forum still did!So, I thought - how could I get my real na

Hi,I'm working in a project that contains large data need to be processed by using stm32f407 Disc1. I facing issue with RAM overflow so, I need to use external ram by using FSMC.what is the large size of external ram that I can use it? , Is this external ram is used as internal one? and when I define and declare an array, Is this array will be stored automatically into this ram ?Thanks....
