Dear all,I have a problem with the new video widget in combination with the STM32F769NI-DISCO (MIPI DSI display 800x480 px, JPEG HW en-/decoder, 16 MB ext RAM, 64 MB ext QSPI Flash).If I create with the TGFX designer 4.18 a new video example project with this board, the video runs without problems. If I change the video to the 800x480 sample video and increase also the video frame buffer in CubeMx it's not possible to build the project because the RAM size is out of limit. It seems, that TGFX use just the internal RAM for the video framebuffer.So the question is: Is it possible to switch the video framebuffer also to the external RAM? And if yes, how can I do this?Thank you in advance.BR,John

I noticed that some of the pins are configured in MX_GPIO_init() while others are not. They seem to have been configured somewhere else, so I'm not sure where to check if my pins were set properly. Also, some of the pin configurations are not updated after manually changing the pin outs. For example, SPI2_NSS_Pin, which is "#define SPI2_NSS_Pin GPIO_PIN_11" in main.h, is still configured as "GPIO_PIN_11" in MX_GPIO_init() despite the fact that I changed it to another pin in STM32CUBEMX.That said, I am quite confused on how the code generator works and how the pins are configured. Also, is it better to use stm32cubemx to generate code or would it be easier to manually configure everything from scratch? Thanks for the help

Hi ST Community.I need your help. I am working on a PWM Proyect, Duty cicle must be change every period, and there is delta time where the PWM must be OFF.I am using a Timer, it fire an interrution and this interruption set a flag to 1 in order to reload the CCRX: TIM2->CCR1=lookUptable1[LookUpTableIndiceUsar_R]so far, the issue that I can´t handle is when I need to STOP the PWM, i am using: HAL_TIM_PWM_Stop(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_1);But PWM generation continue working......Can you guide/help me please.Thanks in advance.Br Alfredo

Hello ST Community,I am using RTC backup register of STM32F746ZG for saving some accumulating data.So i'm afraid of situation when i start write operation and in the same time the VDD power is disabled.Couldn't find any information about this, so i assume, the only way to guarantee data consistency will be duplicating it?

I have a simple ranging project generated by CubeMX using X-Cube-TOF1 v2.0.0. The host is Nucleo-L452.Initialization of the VL53L2CX appears to work without errors, however when the "VL53LX_run_device_test" function runs it fails after the timeout, returning -7 (timeout).Please could you help to debug/resolve this issue.

I'm following the bootloader ACK procedure outlined in AN4286, page 6. The issue I'm having is that the bootloader never responds with 0x79 (ACK) or 0x1F (NACK) after the initial synchronization (Sent 0x5A, Received 0xA5).  Are there any issues with my understanding of the procedure? I'm assuming the dummy byte first sent by the bootloader is supposed to be used throughout the procedure?I'm using STM32H750B-DK with erased flash memory, and proper PI0, PI1, PI2, PI3 pins for SPI2 as outlined in AN2606, page 263.SCK is pulled down to GND with a 10k resistor, NSS is pulled down at the start of every transaction (tying it to GND as suggested in the docs seems to work worse).Seems like a similar issue to post, but not the same Cannot get into the factory ST bootloader from AN2606 for programming over.

I'm looking for some more information when it comes to the STM32 OctoSPI support for Regular command versus HyperBus protocols when it comes to interfacing with an external PSRAM in Memory Mapped mode.We are considering a ISSI OctaRAM part vs HyperRAM due to the operating temperature of 125C for the OctaRAM variant vs 105C for all the HyperRAM variants. We will also have external QuadSPI flash that will not be HyperFlash compatible. We want to do some risk reduction by getting the the U5 IOT dev board that has an external OctoSPI memory onboard, but am worried that since it's a "HyperRAM" variant that whatever proof of concept we run isn't going to be 1-to-1 when we get our prototypes with the OctaRAM part. I have a few questions:Can we operate the “HyperRAM? part in “Regula? command mode since the DQS pin is optional in Regular Command mode?If not, is there anything we should consider when it comes to the U5 OctoSPI peripheral support when it comes to using external memories in memo

Good morning,For the company I'm working for (the CEA in Grenoble), I need to rebuild an electronic device of an old project.In order to build the PCBs, I'm looking for a specific accelerometer: the 3-axis accelerometer "LIS302DLTR" with a LGA package.I can't find any of this product online, distributors like RS or Farnell say that this product has been stopped and that it's no longer manufactured.Is there a way to buy this product again somewhere online ?Is there any replacement of this product, with the exact same package so I can put it directly in my PCBs without changing the design or the software ?Thank you !Sincerely,Antoine

Hi, I use B-G431B-ESC1 board and Motor SDK 5.Y.3 and am trying to determine the phase current for my application. I am calling the functionI_Phase = MC_GetPhaseCurrentAmplitudeMotor1 ();but when the motor is running and the current is almost zero, the function returns a large value. About 2600 units. Could it have something to do with the polarization scheme. In the B-G431B-ESC1 board, the polarization voltage is 2.057V, which is more than 1.65V.I also noticed that 2.057V is 2553 units in a 12-bit ADC, although this may not be necessary and the problem lies elsewhere.In any case, I don't understand why I get a number around 2600 at almost zero real current.I have attached a link to a similar question, but there is no answer there.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W0000081i95SAA/calculation-of-the-motor-current-using-the-motor-control-sdk-function-mcgetphasecurrentamplitudemotor1

Controller : STM32L031F6P7 custom board.I2C stops working after exactly 1 minute 6 seconds? I can replicate this every time.When it stops working, i cannot reset the i2c pheriperal in any way i have found in this forum.These are attempts i already tried.static void rtc_reset_i2c_hw(void){ MX_I2C1_Init(); /* HAL_I2C_DeInit(&hi2c1); __HAL_RCC_I2C1_FORCE_RESET(); HAL_Delay(5); __HAL_RCC_I2C1_RELEASE_RESET(); if (HAL_I2C_Init(&hi2c1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } HAL_Delay(100); */ //HAL_DMA_DeInit(pDMArx); //HAL_DMA_DeInit(pDMAtx); //HAL_DMA_Init(pDMArx); //HAL_DMA_Init(pDMAtx); /* HAL_I2C_DeInit(&hi2c1); HAL_I2C_Init(&hi2c1);   hi2c1.Instance->CR1 &= ~I2C_CR1_PE; // clear pheripheral enable hi2c1.Instance->CR1 &= ~I2C_CR1_PE; // clear pheripheral enable hi2c1.Instance->CR1 &= ~I2C_CR1_PE; // clear pheripheral enable HAL_Delay(50); hi2c1.Instance->CR1 |= I2C_CR1_PE; // enable pheripheral enable */ i2c_state = i2c_sta

In the release notes of CubeMX 6.3.0 it says:Added thread-safe locking support. It can be enabled or disabled in [Project manager]>[Project] Thread-safe SettingsIn the Project settings tab there's a new item: But it is not mentioned anywhere else. Can ST share documentation on this?

Hi,I am using STM32L4R5ZI .Microcontroller connected with modem (sim800c).which are the libraries we need to include to send json formatted data to server from STM controller.Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have a simple application running on STM32L55 Secure World, but I would like to debug it step by step using an IDE.I am able to debug using the Keil IDE, but it seems the TZEN bit is zero. It must be about the defaults state of the STM32L55 which is TZEN is disabled.As TZEN is zero by default I assume I need to set the bit, but when I try to set this bit, getting a Hard-Fault. Question 1: can we set the TZEN bit during the Debugging session. (I may need proper RDP level during the debugging to set TZEN)Question 2: What RDP levels does Keil use? There is no UI to see RDP in Keil?I thought I might be missing something, and I found an example in STM32CubeL5: FreeRTOS_SecureIOToggle_TrustZoneThere are two projects, one is a tiny application in secure world, one is in FreeRTOS app running in non-secure world. I am running the debugging section on secure world application but the TZEN bit is also zero in this example so the secure app does not run in the secure state?Is it something

I am trying to get the bits of an uint8_t into an array. I use two for loops for that and don't know why I get this warning. This is the code I use:void System_Info_Get_Jumper_State(I2C_HandleTypeDef* hi2c1, uint8_t* Jumper_State_Array_Address) { uint8_t Jumper_States[2] = {0x00}; uint8_t Bit_Mask = 1; HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(hi2c1, System_Info_Address, System_Info_Input_Register1_Address, 1, Jumper_States, 2, 1000); for(uint8_t Run_Through = 0; Run_Through <= 1; Run_Through ++) { for(uint8_t Place = 0; Place <= 7; Place++) { Jumper_State_Array_Address[Place] = Bit_Mask & Jumper_States[Run_Through]; Bit_Mask << 1; } Bit_Mask = 1; } } The warning points to line 12 where the bit shft happens.

 Dear all:From this diagram we can see that, gyro test is calculate whether the difference between the two data values is within the range.I want to know Write 04h to CTRL5_C (14h) Enable, What does the hardware do? What does it mean if the data is less than or greater than the set value twice?   Thanks.

The image shows my clock configuration for the STM32F469IIT. I want a 12MHz output from MCO2 and I found that I could theoretically achieve this using the PLLI2SCLK input. However, when I use this configuration, the device is not recognised by the PC via USB. I have also measured the signal using a scope and I seem to get a frequency of 6MHz. I can increase the clock speed on MCO2 to be "24MHz" and this will produce a 12MHz signal.I won't post any code just yet as this issue may be more fundamental, but let me know if more information is needed. I hope someone can explain why this doesn't work.I'm using an external 8MHz clock, USB FS but I am not using the I2S peripheral itself, only the clock divider and multiplexer.

Hi!I am currently trying to build a GPS sensor that communicates over I2C with the nucleo Board, but i'm not sure about the documentation. So I started a new CubeMX Project based on the NUCLEO WL55JC1 and, according to the software (as shown in pic 1), the I2C1 Pins are PA10 (SDA) and PB8 (SCL). However, according to the manual the pins should be PA11 and PA12, wich would be pin 9 and 10 on the CN5 connector (shown in pic 2).  So.. wich one's correct?Thanks in advance!
