I would like to access the UID_BASE (0x1FF1E800) register from the CM4 core, but I run into a HardFault. I checked the reference manual and page 137 says that memory map is reserverd for the CM7.Is there a way to read it somehow to map that System Memory region to somewhere else or can use a DMA to read it?I have a workaround that I read the registes with the CM7 core and put it into the shared memory region so the CM4 core can read it from there, but it has to wait until CM7 core does it.Thanks,Beni

Hi there,I'm trying to implement a software interrupt using the STM32L432KC. I want to trigger an interrupt when I reach a certain point in the code. Unfortunately I didn't find any helpful example.Once I tried to set bit37 in the IMR2 register.SET_BIT(EXTI->IMR2 , EXTI_IMR2_IM37_Msk);and am assumed that when setting the same bit by name in the SWIER register triggers the interrupt.SET_BIT(EXTI->SWIER2 , EXTI_SWIER2_SWI37_Msk);But it doesn't work. The program does not jump into the functionvoid SVC_Handler (void)Can someone explain to me how to do this!?

I have custom stm32mp1 board and when running it as USB mass storage in U-Boot (ums 0 mmc 0), the USB driver is not detected nor by Linux nor by Windows. I am also attaching shematc comparison of eval-board VS my custom board. Also the USB-ORG is working in Engineering mode as DFU device - so I am guessing the soldering and USB pinouts are correct.Pic.1. Custom board schematics of USB-OTG2.Pic. Hello,I have a custom STM32F439VITx board running at 60MHz clocked from the HSI. I have three devices on I2C3, two of which function correctly, the third, an mb85rc64 non-volatile memory, fails on both read and write operations.The I2C is configured like this:void MX_I2C3_Init(void) { hi2c3.Instance = I2C3; hi2c3.Init.ClockSpeed = 100000; hi2c3.Init.DutyCycle = I2C_DUTYCYCLE_2; hi2c3.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0; hi2c3.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT; hi2c3.Init.DualAddressMode = I2C_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE; hi2c3.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0; hi2c3.Init.GeneralCallMode = I2C_GENERALCALL_DISABLE; hi2c3.Init.NoStretchMode = I2C_NOSTRETCH_DISABLE; if (HAL_I2C_Init(&hi2c3) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** Configure Analogue filter */ if (HAL_I2CEx_ConfigAnalogFilter(&hi2c3, I2C_ANALOGFILTER_ENABLE) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** Configure Digital filter */ if (HAL_I2CEx_ConfigDigitalFilter(&hi2c3, 0) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   }I'm sendin

MCU - SPC560P50L5First I compile and flash RTOS serial example with no errors. then I run it. No errors were detected. same process was followed to check ADC example. There also no error were found. Then I combined both codes as follows(attached). It compiled with no errors. But it did not run smoothly. The LEDS always lit.

I have 2 questions.SPC560P50L5 and SPC563M64L5 microcontrollers from ST with which microcontrollers from NXP are compatible (in terms of functions and pins)? Can the output hex file from the MPC56 and SPC56 microcontrollers be replaced?

In the last month, I did an example of FFT using the CMSIS DSP library. Now, I am trying to design a simple "matched filter".   In my code I am using "arm_fir_init_f32" and "arm_fir_f32". While debugging, on the line of "arm_fir_f32", I am getting "HardFault_Handler(void)".   According to the "Debug" panel, the file for "arm_fir_f32.c" can not be found. And the file path which is being shown on the screen is wrong (there is no file path like that on my PC), where is this file path coming from?   Any advice to solve the problem?

Hi,We have a requirement of support for CAN Open and CAN J1939 on STM8AF5288T.We found a website: Simma Software which provides this support but we want to confirm if STM officially supports their CAN Open and CAN J1939 stacks for STM8.Kindly let us know if there are any other officially supported stacks and guide us through the same.Thanks.

I place oscilloscope probe at reset pin of MCU it get low reset continuously time periodI observed RCC- CSR resistor which gives LSIRDY=1 AND IWDGRSTF=1 both are set How can I make them of and solve this reset problem?Below attached images of MCU working fine & other get reset continuously resistor value.

STM32F746 Disco, UART1 connected to integrated ST-Link, Windows 10, STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0, Putty on PCI'm writing my own implementation of UART on registers in C, have datasheet and reference manual right here. I have no problem sending one character or an array of characters, I have no problem receiving one character (which means I've set it up OK). But I can't receive an array of characters, and I don't see why, because algorithmically I think I'm doing it right (as it always seems until someone points out an error). Been reading the reference manual for hours. It's a most basic driver, no interrupts, no noise flags, overrun flags used, just learning stuff. Basic send-receive. Baudrate 9600.Now, the features of my receiver method are the following:The method receives an array pointer and array length as two parametersOn call, it enables the receiver. It waits indefinitely for the start of transmission to be receivedIt fills up (supposed to) the buffer array as new values come in.If transm

Hi,device : STM32G473VBT6What is the best way to process SPI data when we don't know how many bytes will come from the SPI master ?I use the SPI in full duplex slave. The problem with DMA is that the DMA buffer is circular, where my processing functions are not. I don't have the time to copy bytes to another buffer, and code to access the circular buffer slows down significantly when processing 320 bytes .i need to access the buffer as fast as i can.I have used an easy solution ,see under "// reset spi to flush FIFO" , this reset the SPI every interrupt and set the DMA buffer back to element 0 of spi_buf_in.The disadvantage is that this reset also takes 40µs at 170 Mhz.This works mostly perfectly, but sometimes after 1000's SPI transfers my spi_buf_in data is corrupt (compared to the data i see trough the logic analyzer)My guess is that this corruption comes because of the unconventional reset of the SPI.How do i read incoming SPI data most elegantly at the highest speed ?// SPI enable

Hello, according to the STM32MP151A/D Datasheet (Table 13.) the voltage on VDD3V3_USBHS Pin can be 0 ... 3.6V when USBH not used. But on the another page of the Datasheet there is this section: "VDD3V3_USBHS and VDD3V3_USBFS are respectively the USB high-speed and full-speed PHY supply. Voltage range is 3.07 V to 3.6 V. VDD3V3_USBFS is used to supply OTG_VBUS and ID pins. So, VDD3V3_USBFS must be supplied as well when USB high- speed OTG device is used. If not used, must be connected to VDD."The last sentence is the opposite of the data given in Table 13.Now I dont know what I am allowed to do? I dont need USB on my board and I dont want to add circuitry that is mandatory according to datasheets requirement: "VDDA1V8_REG must be present before VDD3V3_USBHS".Thanks for help.

The board can be populated with a Quad SPI PSRAM, sharing OCTOSPI1. Do I need to remove the OctoSPI before using the Quad SPI or is it enough to disconned CS?

I have trying DAC with DMA from STM32G474 eval board. I can see the values being updated to the DOR register and the DAC EN is set to 1. However, the output of the DAC is stuck at 0.I have attached the cubeide settings.

In the spi communication method, one chip succeeded in DEP communication through interlocking. But I do not know how to control two. Please, Where should I edit platform.h/rfal_nfc.c / st25r3916_comm.c?

STM32L010C6TxSTM32CubeMX V 5.4.0FW_L0 V1.11.2When creating a new project that used the ADC with the DMA and some unrelated peripherals, cubeMX will generate the following initialization list in main: /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_ADC_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_TIM2_Init(); MX_TIM21_Init(); MX_GPIO_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */This is a bug - MX_DMA_Init() should be called before MX_ADC_Init(). The ADC init function will attempt to write the the DMA CCR1 register, but will fail because the DMA has not yet been initialized.

Hi, I am working on SPC58NG84E7 bootloader. I have BL code(at 0xFC0000) which jumps to the APP location 0xFD0000 after waiting for 10sec after startup and executes the code there. Both codes have optimization NONE(-O0). But when BL optimization changed to -Os size or any of the mentioned, BL is not jumping to the APP and continuously running the BL code. What could be the issue here?Regards,AM

Hi,I have some issues with executing directly from QSPI with a NUCLEO-F412ZG and a connected Winbond W25Q80DV QuadSPI Flash which we are looking into as a workaround for the component shortage (will be a L4 variant but using a F4 for testing).Reading the memory after enabling memory mapped work works fine but as soon as we jump from our bootloader to address 0x90000000 everything stops (tried to toggle a pin in SystemInit but does not get this far). We are using Mbed OS but the issue does not seem to be related to this (I can jump from our bootloader to the bootloader address and the QSPI is still accessible so does not seem to be reset). For testing I changed the Flash address in the linker script from 0x8000000 to 0x90000000.When attaching a debugger it states address 0xe000ed0b. When disabling MPU support in Mbed it states address 0x90000000 but just hangs and variables. Below is the function for enabling memory mapping.Do you guys have any hints? Have just ordered a STM32L496 DISCO

Hi,I am currently developping a custom bootloader to flash my app with STM32H7A3ZIx / SDMMC / FATFS with DMA templateIt fetch a binary (*.bin) from an SD card, read maximum BUFFER_SIZE (=8192) and stores it in a uint8_t RAM_Buf[BUFFER_SIZE] array (8KB).The reading with FATFS function f_read(&SDFile, RAM_Buf, BUFFER_SIZE, (uint_t *)&bytesread fills the RAM_Buf with the correct datas from my binary.The problem is that the f_read erase my stack, so the locals variables like readflag are overwritted. (1 at init, but 0 after the f_read). Here's the code (from X-CUBE-IAP-SD) :#define BUFFER_SIZE ((uint16_t)1 * 8192) static uint32_t RamAddress = 0x00; static uint8_t RAM_Buf[BUFFER_SIZE] = {0x00}; #define TRUE 1 #define FALSE 0   /** * @brief Programs the internal Flash memory. * @param None * @retval None */ static void COMMAND_ProgramFlashMemory(void) { uint16_t bytesread = 0; uint8_t readflag = TRUE;   /* RAM Address Initialization */ RamAddress = (uint32_t)&RA

MCU : STM32H745Boot : booting from user main memory(0x08000000 )of flash memory ( boot0 :low)compiler: IARI am coding to write in address 0x08060000 of flash memory in Cortex M7 . Cache is enabled, MPU is configured below After at first writing 44444(0xad9c) , writing same value (44444) in same address , everything works wellBut I have problem in writing different value(44443) in same address this is state of memory after writing 44444(0xad9c) and this is state of memory after writing 44443 which is different value than before.Memory is changed strangely . since this, reading of the value will result in an error.I don't understand why

I have two independent oscillations one in PB4 and the other on PB2.I start the first oscillation on PB4 and comp returns the oscillation picks correct. After without stop the COMP1 i change the input plus pin from PB4 to PB2. Using MODIFY_REG(COMP1->CSR, COMP_CSR_INPSEL, COMP_INPUT_PLUS_IO2 );Start the oscillation on PB2 and the comparator never read the oscillation. What i have already try:Read the COMP1->CSR after the pin change and the return value is correctMake sure that both pins are set to Analog inputMake a independent test to both pins to make sure that work. The oscillations are correct using oscilloscope.Switch off comp, change the pin and switch on again comp.Is there any hidden locking mechanism? The value of the comparator lock register bit[31] is 0 always in my application.

Hello,I would like to verify if my approach to handling the WTX S-block over I2C is correct.Currently when I send "update binary" command with data field longer than 2 bytes I receive the S(WTX) frame in response, which is expected. The command is:x03 x00 xD6 x00 x3E x06 xF1 xF2 xF3 xF4 xF5 xF6 xB5 x81 (send)The received frame is:xF2 x02 x0A x72 (recv)Immediately after receiving this frame I stop reading the I2C further, wait for 9.6*2 ms and send identical frame as a response:wait(9.6*2 ms)xF2 x02 x0A x72 (send)Then I still attempt to read the R-APDU for "update binary" however nothing is received from the I2C. The data gets properly written as the I am able to confirm with "read binary".So, my question is - should I still expect the normal R-APDU for "update binary" if the WTX is received? I'm quite sure this is the case, just need a sanity check :)Thanks,Chris

I have a B-U585I-IOT02A Discovery board, which is connected it to an external ST LSM6DS3 accelerometer via the SPI1 pins on the arduino connector. The issue is that the SCK line is going low when not active even though I have it configured to be high. I've tried with different clock sources with no success. Here is what the line waveforms look like with my logic analyzer:Notice that the clock line(on top) starts low and only when the chip select(on bottom) is set low, does the clock line go high. Contrast that with the same thing done with SPI3 also on the B-U585I-IOT02A, via the pins on the STMod+ connector:Notice that the clock line(on top) is always high when inactive. This is the correct behavior and communicates correctly with the LSM6DS3. I have double and triple checked the settings for SPI1 and tried different clock sources, configured the SCK like to pull up and haven't have any success. Also note, I have done this same test with a U575-Nucleo, a WB55-Nucleo and a L476-Nucleo v
