Solved

I have downloaded the VD6283 GUI application and everything works fine except the "Light Spectrum" panel. From the manual I can see that it should calculate the CCT based on the correlation matrix but the CCT window in the top right is always empty. The CCT_Matrix_Coeff_VD6283.csv file for the matrix is located in the sub-directory "Resources" and I have also loaded it manually but it still does not calculate anything.I am working on Windows 10 x64 and used the default installation path C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\VD6283_GUI. Based on the "how-correlated-color-temperature-is-calculated" document from ST I have implemented the calculation in Python but I would like to verify my results as they seem wrong to me. Do I miss anything?

I need to configure one of the USART peripherals in STM32F0 series MCU without using HAL or Low-layer drivers. I plan to fully initialize and drive the USART peripheral registers directly from the application, including assigning the USART to the required GPIO pins of the device.In manual DM00031936 (RM0091 Reference Manual) Section 27.8.12 Table 110 (partially copied below) tells me the offsets for the registers for a USART device, but not the definition of the individual bits/functions.Which category of manual or reference document should I use to find this information?Thank you!

Hi,I have some doubts about how I could sample from the ANA0/ANA1 pins of an STM32MP1 CPU from inside the M4 firmware via HAL. I would like to programmatically switch between these two pins.Sampling from ADC_CHANNEL_0 seems to work, so I guess it is connected to ANA0. But sampling from ANA1 / ADC_CHANNEL_1 does not.Could anybody point me to some documentation or, event better, example source code?Thank you,Antonio

Hi team,I want to detect an moving object using the VL53L1X sensor.However, there is a problem with the installation angle of the sensor, and we arr looking for a solution.As shown in the above figure, there is interference from a fixed object between the sensor and the moving object in environment installed at angle of about 60 degree instead 90 degree. But, I want to detect only moving objects, not these fixed objects.At this time, we ask whether the interference of fixed objects can be avoided by moving the FOV from the default 16x16 ROI & Center 199 to the 16x7 ROI & Center 60 as shown figure. Or, is there another solution?Also, in ideal case, when the linear distance (D) between the sensor and object is 300mm, and the actual measurement distance (E) will be 600mm. However, since the installation angle is not a right angle, the actual measurement distance is expected to be shorter or longer than this from the sensor's point of view. But, if only a certain value is constantl

Hello,I have connected a "VL53L5 Satel" board to my Arduino nano BLE board, with modified example code. It works fine with: distance/motion indicator in 4 x 4, continuous mode, ranging frequency 1-10 Hz ( i tried different f). But it only works fine when all the zones have targets. If there is no target at all or partially have targets, I get status code 2 for some zones. the zone number with "Status 2" varies from scan to scan. The explanation of status 2 is " target phase". What does this mean? How to solve it? Thanks for your help!!

Hello,I'm trying to set up the character match interrupt to detect the character '\n' (which indicates the end of a packet) and I don't manage to get the interruption.The procedure I'm using is:initialize the uart, its gpios, and the dma.enable the uart as well as dma interrupt in NVICdisable uartwrite \n into CR2_ADDwrite to 1 CR1_CMIEenable uartHAL_UART_Receive_DMAin the USARTx_IRQHandler I check the ISR_CMF flag, and if it is not zero I call my routines to handle the input-By doing this on UART1 I don't get any UART interrupt. I just see the dma TC interrupt when the buffer is full.I also tried with HAL_UART_Receive_IT (i.e. without the DMA) with similar results.Now I'm considering that I might misunderstood the specifications and maybe the stm32f303k8 doesn't support character match, or maybe some limitation applies to it. Is this the case? The datasheet clearly states that Modbus communication is supported only on UART1 (which is the one I'm using), and the manual states that Modb

Hi Community,We have the IIS3DWBTR, we made a configuration like the following:spi_buffer[1] = 0x06; //power down mode + LPF2 Enable +- 16g spi_write(CTRL1_XL, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0x44; // bdu: 1, if_inc: 1 spi_write(CTRL3_C, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0x2C; // (int 1 or int 2)--> int1: enable, i2c: disabled spi_write(CTRL4_C, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0x00; // Disable self-test, no rounding spi_write(CTRL5_C, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0x00; // offset 2^-10 g/LSB, 3 axis mode --> 0x08 offset 2^-6 g/LSB, 3 axis mode spi_write(CTRL6_C, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0x02; spi_write(CTRL7_C, 1); spi_buffer[1] = (CTRL8_ODR_4 | CTRL8_LPF2_HPF_EN); spi_write(CTRL8_XL, 1); // Acel bandwidth and low/high pass spi_buffer[1] = 0x00; // Timestamp disabled spi_write(CTRL10_C, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0x01; // int1 DRDY enable spi_write(INT1_CTRL, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0x01; // int2 DRDY enable spi_write(INT2_CTRL, 1); spi_buffer[1] = 0xA6; // LPF2 Enable +- 16g spi_write(CTRL1_XL, 1); delay_ms(100);then we use the interrupt of

Hi,we are working on an own hardware design with the STM32WL55.According to AN5457, section 5.1.2, I am supposed to select a Power mode (Low or High), and then a maximum output power for which I would want to optimize my design. With that maximum output power in mind I would then get optimal PA settings from table 2. Those settings are what I use in firmware when I adjust the RF matching network in hardware. Using different PA settings can change the PA output impedance, so when I have adjusted the network once, I must make sure to always use those same PA settings on that hardware.In radio_driver.c from the SubGHz_Phy middleware of the STM32Cude Firmware for the STM32WL55 (version 1.1.0) (STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.1.0\Middlewares\Third_Party\SubGHz_Phy\stm32_radio_driver\radio_driver.c) in the function SUBGRF_SetTxParams, lines 647 to 654, the radio driver selects different PA settings depending on the selected output power. If i understand AN5457 correctly, that could change the PA output i

Hello,I'm experimenting with the Motor Control SDK toolchain (MCSDK v5.Y.3).I set up the config in Motor Control Workbench (the .stmcx file is attached, I changed the extension to .txt so that I can upload it...)After having check all pin assignments are OK, I generate the project for IAR v8, CubeMX 6.1.1, with HAL drivers type, firmware package 1.25.2. The generation complete without warning nor error.I then open the IAR project that has just been generated and try to build it as-it-is. I got the warning and the error below:Macro redefinition:Warning[Pa181]: incompatible redefinition of macro "SPD_TIM_M1_IRQHandler" (declared at line 173) ***\Inc\parameters_conversion.h 178=> I set a different timer for the hall sensors and for the auxiliary speed sensor (quadrature encoder), but the same symbole SPD_TIM_M1_IRQHandler is defined for both timers:#define SPD_TIM_M1_IRQHandler TIM2_IRQHandler #define SPD_TIM_M1_IRQHandler TIM3_IRQHandlerI expected to be able to choose different timers

STM32H743Does errata 2.16.2 "Wrong data may be read from Message RAM by the CPUwhen using two FDCANs" apply to silicon revision V?The errata indicates it does, but previous discussion by Imen Dahmen indicates the issue was corrected. I need a confirmation before I buy these parts.Datasheet: https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32h743bi.pdfErrata link: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000007Yka4SAC/is-it-possible-to-use-both-fdcans-in-an-stm32h753-mcu-at-the-same-timePrevious discussion: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000007Yka4SAC/is-it-possible-to-use-both-fdcans-in-an-stm32h753-mcu-at-the-same-time

The errata sheet of these MCUs says:2.16.2 Wrong data may be read from Message RAM by the CPU when using two FDCANsDescriptionWhen using two FDCAN controllers, and the CPU and FDCANs simultaneously request read accesses from Message RAM, the CPU read request may return erroneous data.The issue is not present if the CPU requests write access to Message RAM.WorkaroundTo avoid concurrent read accesses between the CPU and FDCANs, use only one FDCAN at a time.Does this mean it is not possible to use both FDCAN interfaces at the same time (i.e. one has to be stopped before the other may be started) or is there a less limiting workaround? I would like to connect to two different busses using the two FDCAN blocks. If it is not possible to use both at the same time, this usage would not be possible with this MCU...

I am using lis3mdl and try to use libiio in my programm.In my programm I enabling chanels and try to create buffer with iio_device_create_buffer function. It fails with error "Operation not permitted".Also "WARNING: High-speed mode not enabled" message prints in terminal (I assume this message is printed by libiio)What should I do? Should I turn on this high-speed mode in device tree or what?

I need some help, I have found USART1 and USART2 however I can't understand where LPUART, USART3 and USART4 are. Also I don't understand what NC_UART0, RFT_UART1 and RFT_UART2 stand for. I know these last 3 are related to the modem type1sc. I also know LBAD0ZZ1SE is the Murata modem type1sc + STM32L462REY6TR.Thank you in advance.

I'm checking the ADC operation with STM32H7B3I-DK board.To set adc clock frequency up to 50MHz, i tried to change BOOST bits of ADC_CR register.However, unlike the rm0455 document that states that bits 8 and 9 (BOOST bits region) can be set, when checking in debugging mode in the IDE tool, only bit 8 seemed to be changeable.I want to know the difference between the contents of the datasheet and the status shown in the register status window in debugging mode.

There is a current issue with TouchGFX Designer 4.13 to 4.16.1 where it cannot create a SSL/TLS secure channel, and therfor TouchGFX Designer cannot access the server and download projects and examples. We are currently investigating to fix this but in the meantime here is the workaround:Navigate to the folder where TouchGFX is installed. For example C:\TouchGFX\4.16.0\designer and open TouchGFXDesigner-4.16.0.exe.config with notepad or another code editor.Replace the code section with the "PackagesUrl" setting by http://sw-center-st-com.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/touchgfx/pacman/packages.json.zipSorry for the inconvenience, we are working on getting everything back to normal./Romain

What is the best way to protect pin from external 'high' voltage (10-30-60 or higher V). Is it even possible without external buffer, resistor + clamping diodes etc.?Input with high Z, open drain, other methd for "disconnecting" pin will do the job?I think I cant really phisically disconnect pin in software?I would go with high Z and clamping diode and fuse. But maybe there is better option. I can't add series resistor to reduce power and clamp excess voltage smoothly.Thanks

How to set up white noise in stm32g431kb DAC?DAC works, I can produce sine wave but cant generate white noise.I set DAC->CR WAVE1 to 01 (noise), DAC->CR TEN1 to 1 (trigger enable) and DAC->CR EN to 1 (enable). Tried to set also DAC->CR MAMP1 from 0 to 10 but without a success.How to generate white noise and how to change it DC offset?I checked with cube programmer and bits in DAC->CR are actually set as expected. But no white noise on output.Thank You
