Hii try to figure out, if my main stack pointer is correct. When debug my program, after execute startup.s file the value of msp is 0x20008000, but like this i used only half sram, right? This micro have 64KB of sram. I believe that the value of msp would be 0x20010000, on top of the sram. This mcu have sram1 start 0x20000000 end 0x20007FFF, and sram2 start 0x20008000 end 0x2000FFFF.Follow my linker script:/* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = ORIGIN(RAM1) + LENGTH(RAM1); /* end of "SRAM1" Ram type memory */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200;     /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x800; /* required amount of stack */ /* Memories definition */ MEMORY {  ROM   (rx)   : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 256K  RAM1  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 32K   /* Non-backup SRAM1 */  RAM2  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x20008000, LENGTH = 32K  &nb

Using the ecosystem v1.2 after a cold boot the system boot properly but after issuing a reboot command the system loads u-boot but it gets stuck at loading the kernel. Are there any known limitations/issues?

I put the cosmic license in the wrong location, not in license folder. When I tried my first build in stvd it asked for license and I tried and tried in a loop. Eventually I got in a situation where it would just give the error in the log when I tried to build instead of asking for the license. How do I get it to ask again? Or is there another way to register the cosmic license file I have?

(EDIT: Already responded on X-CUBE-NFC6 not a valid X-CUBE-Expansion and missing files from wmmcmj by Markus GIRDLAND (ST Employee))I have been unable to install X-CUBE-NFC6 software expansion package for STM32Cube. I have two installations of STM32CubeIDE running in two PCs; both running version 1.8.0 of the IDE. None of them install the mentioned package. When clicking “Open? in the ST Package Selection File window from the Embedded Software Packages Manager, the message: “This file is either corrupted or not a recognized package . . . “, appears.I have downloaded the file en.X-CUBE-NFC6_v1.1.0.zip several times already but no success on installation yet.(I would like to test the X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 board with a NUCLEO-F746ZG board). Thanks in advance.Luis

Hey, I create some enums and struct to declare specific pin settings. In .h file I create these struct and enums:typedef enum { ePin_Led_Stat=0, ePin_Led_GPS_Fix, ePin_USART1_Tx, ePin_USART1_Rx, ePin_USART2_Tx, ePin_USART2_Rx,   ePin_Name_Last} ePin_Name;typedef struct { uint32_t port; uint32_t pin; uint32_t mode; uint32_t speed; uint32_t output_type; uint32_t pull; uint32_t alternate; uint32_t baudRate; uint32_t dataWidth; uint32_t stopBits; uint32_t parity; uint32_t transferDirection; uint32_t hardwareFlowControl; uint32_t overSampling;} s_GPIO_Init_t;Then in .C file I wrote this code:s_GPIO_Init_t pin_name[] = { [ePin_Led_Stat] =  {GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_5, LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT, LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW, LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPULL, LL_GPIO_PULL_NO, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0}, [ePin_Led_GPS_Fix] = {GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_4, LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT, LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW, LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPULL, LL_GPIO_PULL_NO, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0}, [ePin_USART1_Tx] =  {GPIOB, LL_GPI

Hello,According to my research, i cant find word flash program type for stm32l4p5 mcus. There are three diffrent types(DOUBLEWORD,FAST,FAST_AND_LAST). These types defined doubleword.Thank you for your help.

Hello, I am using an STM32G061K6T (only MCU I could find in stock at the time) and I'm try to communicate with an EEPROM via I2C.I have the SCL and SDA mapped to PA9 and PA10, respectively with 3K3 Pull up resistors. SDA pin is pulled up and stays up however SCL is High when the MCU is held in reset but then it is pulled low and I don't know why. This happens with an EEPROM connected.I have mapped SCL and SDA to PB6 and PB7 and this works and I can communicate with the EEPROM.My questions are:Why does it work when the pins are mapped differently - am I missing something in the datasheet ?Why is the pin pulled low when the MCU is awake., despite the 3K3 pullup.I have also checked for shortsAny help would be apricated. Thanks, Mike

I am using Keil for firmware developmentCurrently I don't have a Nucleo board with me

Hi, I use OCTOSPI1 and OCTOSPI2 in multiplexed mode to interface with two S27KL0641 ram in Memory Mapped mode. Those Rams are used for LTDC Frame Buffer and for other application data (structure, data ...).I started from the STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0\Drivers\BSP\Components\s70kl1281 and STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0\Drivers\BSP\STM32H735G-DK from cubeMX to initialise the OSPI, I changed pin affectation, added HAL_OSPIM_Config and enabled IoManager clock. The application starts correctly but after some minutes it enters in Hardfault.Depending on MPU initilization, the problem occurs faster. Here is my MPU configuration//ospi2 data MPU_InitStruct.Enable = MPU_REGION_ENABLE; MPU_InitStruct.BaseAddress = OCTOSPI2_BASE; MPU_InitStruct.Size = MPU_REGION_SIZE_8MB; MPU_InitStruct.AccessPermission = MPU_REGION_FULL_ACCESS; MPU_InitStruct.IsBufferable = MPU_ACCESS_BUFFERABLE; MPU_InitStruct.IsCacheable = MPU_ACCESS_CACHEABLE; MPU_InitStruct.IsShareable = MPU_ACCESS_NOT_SHAR

I would to use the cheap STM32F750N8-DISCO evaluation board to run a ETH/I2C/SPI/IR/encoder/touch-screen application but the 64K of flash is very little for my program. Now my program run a STM32F746G-DISCO with 1Mbit of flash and it use about 450K.I use also the QSPI N25Q128A to store the static images. Is possible boot the program from QSPI or move part of the program in QSPI to save flash space ? For the images I use this following method.#include <stdint.h>   #pragma pack(push, 1)   typedef struct Center2_tagBITMAPFILEHEADER { uint16_t bfType; uint32_t bfSize; uint16_t bfReserved1; uint16_t bfReserved2; uint32_t bfOffBits; } Center2_BITMAPFILEHEADER; // size is 14 bytes   typedef struct Center2_tagBITMAPINFOHEADER { uint32_t biSize; uint32_t biWidth; uint32_t biHeight; uint16_t biPlanes; uint16_t biBitCount; uint32_t biCompression; uint32_t biSizeImage; uint32_t biXPelsPerMeter; uint32_t biYPelsPerMeter; uint32_t biClrUsed; uint32_t biClrImportant

HelloI'm using STM32cubeIDE with an L431RCCubeMX invited me to migrate my .ioc from 6.2 to 6.4 and FW_L4 from 1.17 to 1.17.1After that I have a warning Implicit declaration of MX_SPI3_Init in main.cThis is only in cubeMX generated codeFor information cubeMX asked me to enable USE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT in freertos What could I have done wrong? How to fix this error of cubeMX, which does not include spi.h in main.c?Thanks in advancePS : I specify that I have for the moment avoided the problem by adding :/* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */#include "spi.h"/* USER CODE END Includes */Here I want to correct the original problem that forces me to do this.

I am using a NUCLEO-L476RG development board, I am learning to write GPIO drivers for STM32 family I am implementing a simple logic in which I need to turn on an LED when a push button is pressed.I have a strange issue: The Bread board LED turns ON when the line temp=10 line is commented, it doesn't turn ON when the line temp=10 is uncommented. What could be the issue? The issue doesn't solve after changing the location of the lineThe connection to the bread board looks like the image below , I have not configured any clock source in my code, meaning it would take the default clock(MSI at 4MHz) for its operations. I have powered it using the Mini USB#include <stdint.h> #include "stm32l476xx.h" #include "stm32l476xx_gpoi_driver.h" #if !defined(__SOFT_FP__) && defined(__ARM_FP) #warning "FPU is not initialized, but the project is compiling for an FPU. Hi All,Using an STM32F429 and reading online documentation I have come frequently to this code used for generating delays in Ms if the SYSCLK is 16Mhzvoid delayMs(uint32_t n) { int i; for (; n > 0; n--) for (i = 0; i < 3195; i++) ; }I cant understand why the 3195 value is used? In my understanding for achieving 1Ms of delay we will needFOSC=16MHzTOSC=1/16Mhz = 62.5nSFor 1Ms, then I can calculate how many cycles need to be "burned" by the following equation:My_1_Ms_counter = 1mS / TOSC = 0.001 / 62.5nS = 16000In summary I will need 16000 dummy instructions to be performed in order to obtain 1Ms of code execution (thus delay).I come back to my questions of why does the 3195 is used? Thanks

Code is too simple, else is initiated by CubeMx, using latest CubeIde. Board is DevEBox.#define buf_size 512uint16_t data[buf_size]={};for(uint8_t i=0;i<(buf_size/4);i++)data[i]=4095;HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim6);HAL_DAC_Start_DMA(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1, (uint32_t*)data, (uint32_t)buf_size, DAC_ALIGN_12B_R);Whatever data is in the buffer, whenever it's byte or 12 bits, output doesn't have any meaningful value. Included are pictures of output and setup.VREF+,VSSA and VDDA are all connected to same supply as stm32.

Hi everyone,I'm new to this forum. I'm facing a problem: I'm using the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 evaluation board mounted on a NUCLEO-F401RE. I'm also using, with an Arduino UNO, the X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 tag evaluation board. I'm using the Arduino IDE for now, but since yesterday everything worked great.I'm able to install the Arduino STM32 library which contains the example code for the NFC03A1 reader. The upload to the board goes fine, and I can see in the console the message asking to press the user button to change mode, or just present an NFC tag to read its content. Now here comes the problem: without changing anything (nor code, nor board, nor the F401RE), suddenly the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 has stopped reading tags. If I press the user button in the NUCLEO it does change, and the LEDS on the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 power on, but anyway if I present the X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 tag it does nothing, while some days ago it printed correctly the tag UID and told me there was no NDEF format message (in that case I w

HI,I have a question regarding the GPIO setup.I have setup a few pins and outputs from the pin map editor. For all of those pins, the togglefunction work without any issue. However when I try to turn them on or off using the write_pad function or the set_pad, clear_pad function it does not work. Nisal

(BACKGROUND) I'm working on small (GCC/C-language) tests of STM32F051 with STM32CubeIde 1.8.0 on STM32F051 target. These tests are being done ---> without HAL, Lower Level drivers, but am using #include "cmsis_gcc.h" to access CPU interrupt enable/disable/status <---, so your patience is appreciated (that is, I don't intend in these tests to involve HAL or Lower Level drivers). RM0091 is my documentation resource.(PROBLEM) USART1 is configured to cause interrupt (RXNEIE=1) when RXNE=1 (receive character). Settings verified (RXNE becomes 1 when a receive character is accepted, and RXNEIE is 1.) The expected entry to void USART1_IRQHandler(void) is not happening.(QUESTIONS)1. Section 11.2.5: "EXTI line 25 is connected to the internal USART1 wakeup event". Is this used to allow USART1 interrupt request to reach the CPU? I am not using sleep or wake up conditions (the CPU is always running.) In this case is "event" same as "interrupt"?2. RM0091 section 11.2.4 includes an instruction

We are trying to bring up a custom board which used STM32MP157FACx processor. The DDR memory model we use is W63AH2NBVABE which is a LPDDR3 32-bit. We use CubeMx to generate the device trees. We have chosen the configuration shown below in the picture in CubeMx which generated tf-a device trees and one of them (stm32mp157f-projectname-mx-fw-config.dts) included the following device tree, which is non-existent.#include "stm32mp15-ddr-128m-fw-config.dts"The above device tree is not available in the tf-a source in the developer package (Developer-Package/stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31/sources/arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi/tf-a-stm32mp-2.4.r1-r0/tf-a-sources/fdts) or in the git.How do we get this file? Does it expect the developer/user to create one? if so, why does the comment not let the user know that? Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks!
