Hello!I am working on a project of sound source localization and want to lit an individual ws2812 Led in the direction of the sound source.I came across an expansion software package x-cube-memsmic1 which uses Acoustic SL library to estimate the angle of the sound source and send the angle along with some other things to PC via USB. The description says that the audio_application.c and usbd_audio_if.c contains some functions to get the angle from the source and send it.Now I don't know which function does this and how?/** ****************************************************************************** * @file audio_application.c * @author SRA * @version v1.3.0 * @date 17-Sep-2021 * @brief Source localization example. ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2022 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory

Hello!I am working on a project I have 4 mems microphones and I want to get an angle from these 4 microphones, I have 12 neopixel Leds which lit up according to the voice direction on the 4 microphones. I have the Stm32cubeide project for it, but I don't how can get the angle with it.Here is the Code and I will also attach the files...Please guide me!/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2022 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ****************************************************************************** */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* I

Can you explain why there are Near Field Communication antennas on both sides of this device? I'm designing Circuit for M24LR04E-R6MNT/2 I would like to follow the circuit diagram of X-NUCLEO-NFC02A1. But there are both side antennas. It would be very helpful if you could explain why they are available on both sides. It is very helpful if you can send me the both top and bottom assembly views of that.(optional)

Hello guys,This is a silly question, but still cannot get it right.I want to read different values coming from sensors connected to different ports.I know using 16 available channels for external input is very intuitive when all the inputs come from pins in the same port. But lets say I have inputs and GPIOA, pin1 and GPIOC pin1, and etc... How to set them in a multiple channel configuration? How to select the right channel for every input? It's a bit confusing for me

What is the best way to create 480 1us pulses (to clock an A/D) every x seconds?Can this be done with one timer?

I have a custom board with a STM32MP157AAB3 and I am trying to boot it with the SD card.   I have tested the SD card on a STM32MP157C-DK2 and it boots to Linux fine. When I probe the SD card lines, I can see the clock is toggling for a long time and the CMD pins is also toggling however nothing happens on the D0 pin, it is held high (3V3)

A very weird problem here... But Cube-skeptics won't be surprised for sure.I have a custom board with STM32H753.Devices in use are several UARTs, FMC, ethernet, I2C, few timers. FreeRTOS with LwIP. In main(), just before osKernelStart() I try to read from USART6 in interrupt mode, using HAL_UART_Receive_IT.But the USART6 interrupt never occurs and HAL_UART_Receive_IT does not receive a single byte.USART6 is configured in normal async mode, no flow control.Blocking HAL_UART_Receive() works nicely, so the UART itself is enabled and configured.The interrupt is enabled in Cube-generated code:  HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(USART6_IRQn, 6, 0); // tried also priority 0  HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(USART6_IRQn);When HAL_UART_Receive_IT timeouts, the USART RXNE interrupt in ISR is pending,but the NVIC bit in IABR (IABR[2] bit 7) is clear!Then I commented out MX_LWIP_Init call and the USART6 interrupt works as it should.Why the ethernet & LwIP initialization blocks USART6 interrupt?I need

I developed some libs to control a custom LCD.At the beginning the workspace only had one project, 01_main, and files related to my lcd and driver were located there, later I started another project 02_rtos, so I copied LCD files into new project.I need to create more projects, libs could be modified from any project, so I create the lib folder, it has the only version of my files, I created this folder with "Link to alternate location"Everything is working but, My questions:Is this approach ok? or Is should do something else, please note a want to keep workspace on GitHub, this modify in some way the folder organization approach?

To be honest the difference is 0x7F03 for the ReadParam() and 0xFF03 for the GetStatus()The documentation L6474Data Sheet (DoclD022529 Rev 4) says Bits 13, 14, and 15 should be 1 all the time. In one case Bit 15 is always 0 and the other case Bit 15 is always 1 In case you think I am doing something wrong:The CS being high is 920 ns or more. It must be > 800 nsAnd the SCK is 4 MHz and has to be less than 5 MHz.

A very simple example of this is Register 0x16 Which is STEP_MODE register. It says Bits 3 and 7 are always 1. I write 0xCC to the 8 bit-register. When I read it, it reads as 0x4CWrite Param is just the ADDRESS sent. Read Param bit 5 is set to 1. So 0x16 becomes 0x36 to read register 0x16. To make sure it is not my software, (I am using HAL) I have the logic analyzer output attached.  The SCK frequency is 4.1 MHz, it must be less than 5.0 MHzThe shortest CS high is 915 ns, it must be greater than 800 ns. So, I do not believe it is timing related. What am I missing?

Hello Everyone!I am working on a project with 4 mems microphone and I want to get the estimated angle (sound source localization) using Acoustic SL library, but I don't know how to get it?I have Nucleo-F401RE board and I want to locate sound source with 4 mems microphones, please guide me.I have the library and the code but don't know how to use it. I am new to STM32 and mems technology.Why is no one answering me?I have changed the code, it's an acoustic_sl.h file. Just tell me how can I use it to calculate the angle?/** ****************************************************************************** * @file acoustic_sl.h * @author SRA * @brief This file contains Acoustic Sound Source Localization library definitions. ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2022 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file in * the root directory of this soft

Hello!I want to interface 4 PDM microphones with STM32F401RE's SPIs in stereo config(like in the pic above), I have a problem of how to get its data using pdm to pcm library. As the data will be alligned in this form(M1bit1, M2bit1, M1bit2, M2bit2..........M1bitn, M2bitn).Can someone give me a piece of code or some kind of explanation on how to get the data?

Setup in use:P-NUCLEO-STM32WB development board.X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 expansion board with software pack ( NFC 4.2.05) Added : DMA support for I2C , .ioc cubeMX image attached.The issue is that I cannot read the ST25DV ID via I2C DMA read. I simply do not get an answer. While the I2C blocking read works fine.Simple test code I made: // main.c   MX_NFC_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ uint8_t pData = 0u;   // WORKS! if ( HAL_OK != HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c1, 0x00AE, 0x0017, 0x0002, &pData, 0x0001, 0x1000) ) { __NOP(); assert_param(false); return 0u; } pData = 0u; // DOES NOT WORK. if ( HAL_OK != HAL_I2C_Mem_Read_DMA(&hi2c1, 0x00AE, 0x0017, 0x0002, &pData, 0x0001) ) { assert_param(false); return 0u; } //STUCK HERE! while(!pData) { }   /* USER CODE END 2 */   /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */   MX_NFC_Process(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3

I want to load a bootloader and then the firmware to my board via ST Link in one pass in an automatic mode.

In the datasheet of the STM32WB5MMG Module is writtenThe module antenna must be installed to meet the RF exposure compliance separation distance of “20 cm? and any additional testing and authorization processes as required.in the sections FCC and ISED certification.In the application we are pursuing, the module is to be located on a custom pcb, which - surrounded by a plastic housing - is to be worn directly on the skin, like a wearable.This means that the minimum distance of 20cm to the body is not maintained.This raises the following questions:1. Is a new RF certification necessary to confirm compliance with the RF radiation exposure requirements directly on the skin?2. Why is the 20cm distance not mentioned in the CE certification section?2.1 Is the distance to the body irrelevant for the validity of the CE certification (EU)?And one additional question, in case someone knows:How much does certification by a testing laboratory (CE, FCC, ISED, ...) cost (approx.)?Thank you very much

So, we are using ADCs on the STM32h743XIH6 rev V to read DC and low-frequency signals. We noticed we have half the ADC channels working correctly and half not working correctly. Those working correctly are:ADC3P1 PC3_CADC2P1 PA1_CADC3P0 PC2_CADC3P2 PF9ADC2P4 PC4ADC2P0 PA0_Cand those not working areADC1P12 PC2ADC2P5 PB1ADC2P10 PC0ADC1P2 PF11ADC1P3 PA6ADC3P3 PF7ADC3P4 PF5Note that we switched the signals from ADC1 to ADC2 on the signals not working and still would not read correct values. We are reading varying signals (even with dc signal in) with usually a low value around 0x9ff or 0x9df (on 16 bits reading). Good signals keep working when changing ADC too. The pins are working both in GPIO output and input correclty so we do not think it is a solder issue. We also probed the signal right by the processor and it stays clean.Any idea what the problem could be? We ran out of ideas.

Board: STM32L496ZGMy requirement - 2ms dead time Frequency - 50hz and Internal clock is 40mhz.In 40mhz (internal clock) i got expected frequency (50hz) using Prescaler = 80-1 Peroid value = 10000-1PWM Counter =5000-1 Then, i reduced my Internal clock has (20mhz) same expected frequency (50hz) using Prescaler = 40-1Peroid value = 10000-1PWM Counter =5000-1 instead of 50hz i got 100hz Except 20mhz if i set (2.5mhz) and (0.625mhz) i got same expected frequency. (Why its happening if i set 20mhz?)

Hello Can NFC tag be used to transmit audioif yes , which type can be used from ST and what reader would be appropriate.not the physical proximity tags but other thanks

I have custom board based on STM32MP153C.This board has 7 serial ports. I configuring these ports with STM32MP1Cube.After linux boot 4 of these serial ports become disabled Driver doesn't probe them and they are in "disabled" state in /sys/firmware/devicetree. Enabled only serial0, serial 3 and serial5 portsi tried to make a devicetree dump with dd if=/dev/mem at adress in which devicetree was loaded by uboot and in this dump these ports are disabled as well.DTB If I convert my DTB file (which is loading by UBOOT I see my correct devicetree, but in memory dump is edited and I don't know why.Also my board has I2C and SPI interfaces and they have the same behavior.Below I give part of my device tree in terms of serial ports:#include <dt-bindings/pinctrl/stm32-pinfunc.h>   #include "stm32mp153.dtsi" #include "stm32mp15xc.dtsi" #include "stm32mp15xxab-pinctrl.dtsi" #include "stm32mp15-m4-srm.dtsi" / { aliases { serial0 = &usart6; serial1 = &uart8; serial2 = &

for STM32F429I-DISC1, the Designer creates a project that does not contain an .ioc file. This means that any functionality additional to the graphics must be configured by code instead of CubeMX. Is there a simple way I can have an .ioc file in the project? Nikos

I am using the STM32H7B3I-EVAL, which includes a touch screen that uses the TouchGFX application. I am trying to do its tutorials, which includes modifying the code in the STM32CubeIDE. However, when I do, the file structure is different in my computer's file explorer compared to what is shown in the STM32CubeIDE project explorer.For example, the TouchGFX folder in my File Explorer is not present in the IDE project explorer.What causes this and what can be done to fix it?

Hi all, I have this problem. I want to start the ADC of my microcontroller, and following the reference manual it says I have to wait until the ADRDY register is set by the hardware to continue and make conversions, but that register never sets. This is my code: This function enables the DMA fot the ADCvoid DMA_Init(ADC_TypeDef * adc, DMA_Channel_TypeDef * dma_ch, std::uint16_t * buffer, std::uint32_t buffer_length,std::uint8_t length){   adc->CFGR |= ADC_CFGR_CONT; adc->CFGR |= ADC_CFGR_DMAEN | ADC_CFGR_DMACFG; adc->SMPR1 |= (7U << 3U) | (7U << 6U); //max sampling rate dma_ch->CPAR = (std::uint32_t)(&adc->DR); dma_ch->CMAR = (std::uint32_t)(buffer); dma_ch->CNDTR = buffer_length; dma_ch->CCR |= DMA_CCR_EN; Enable_regulator(adc); Enable(adc); Calib(adc); Enable(adc); }So these are the enable regulator and enable functions:void Enable_regulator(ADC_TypeDef * adc){ adc->CR &= ~(ADC_CR_ADVERGEN

Greetings,Currently the project has a requirement for a Custom BLE server profile. I have a few doubts, for which I'm seeking clarifications.I flashed the 'stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw' v1.14 at the specified memory location as per the release notes. The binary was successfully upgraded. When I perform the step debug, the 'WirelessInfo' returns the proper values. In the next step, most of the times 'p_sys_ready_event' returns FUS_FW_RUNNING instead of WIRELESS_FW_RUNNING. What is the cause for this? Even though the wireless stack is programmed why does the return value is not proper?When the return value of p_sys_ready_event is proper(WIRELSS_FW_RUNNING), the program moves forward. Program hits the 'APP_BLE_Init' function and the command packet is initialized. Then 'SHCI_C2_BLE_Init' is hit. This function is returns the status with the value 0x04(undefined in the documents) and the program gets stuck in Error handler(). Based on the comments provided before the error handler function, C
