S2-LP CSMA/CA - Guidelines for clear channel assessment period T_CCA and T_Listen

Are there any design guidelines or rule of thumbs for the clear channel assessment period T_CCA and T_Listen? Which considerations should be taken into account for T_CCA and T_Listen? According to my knowledge, T_CCA should at least be greater than the maximum propagation delay between two nodes.

Hi,

I have done some research and found the following performance analysis of channel access schemes quite helpful:

https://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/DE/Sachgebiete/Telekommunikation/Unternehmen_Institutionen/Technik/TechnischeVertraeglichkeit/Funkvertraeglichkeit/IMSTStudie/IMSTStudie-node.html

https://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/SharedDocs/Downloads/DE/Sachgebiete/Telekommunikation/Unternehmen_Institutionen/Koexistenzstudie_EN.pdf;jsessionid=B67F02DF8823BBCEBFBB333F3AFA1964?__blob=publicationFile&v=2

Among the analysis of various random access schemes, the study provides a detailed performance analysis of CSMA/CA and how T_CCA and T_Listen impact on its performance. The study was conducted by a German company for the German federal network agency.
