option byte programming failed

using stm32cubeprogrammer and i get the error - option byte programming failedexpected value for option byte "RDP": 0xAA, found: 0xE7

@Community member i am using st-link v2 non authentic via direct usb, the board powers on but will not connect via usb and isn't showing usual green led only blue, i have tried on windows 11 and ubuntu 20.

it also show current value as E7.

STM32F405RGT6 running on a vesc board. i am using the gui cube programmer v2.12
