I can use STM32CubeProgrammer to read and write code into external memory via ST-Link. However it fails to access the external memory via the bootloader interface(e.g USB). Does any one know how to fix the issue?Thanks in advance

Hi Tesla,you mean for programming code into external memory by STM32CubeProgrammer, I have to implement my own DFU? I can program code into internal flash via USB interface. does STM32CubeProgrammer only provide the DFU loader for internal memory?

Hi Tesla,Thanks a lot. It works. using arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe -O binary --only-section=ExtFlashSection "${BuildArtifactFileBaseName}.elf" ExtFlash.bin can generate ExtFlashSection code from the elf file.

There are 56-bit LOT NUM, how does ST control this number? is it safety to simply take the LSB 24bits and ignore its MSB 32-bit?

How to program a executable file into internal and external memory

Hello, I am using STM32L4xx MCU, the UID is 96bits, I have got the 96-bit. Unfortunately I have only 64 bits space for serial number. so I have to convert the 96-bit to 64-bit, and the converted 64-bit must be unique. does anyone have the solution?
