Can I connect L6234 exposed pad to GND?

Hi, I was wondering if you could attach the exposed center pad of the L6234 IC to GND to get better heat dissipation throughout the PCB?The datasheet does not mention anything about the exposed center pad.Thanks!Best regards Niklas Cooke
