STM32CubeProgrammer 2.11 64Bit setup under Windows 11

FWege.1
Associate III

Dear all

Under windows 11 the 64 bit setup (2.11) starts

with extracting the file and after that I see sometimes the busy signal, but

...

There are no entries in the windows event logger.

I know, that windows 11 isn’t mentioned in the release notes (RN0109).

Can I start the setup with command line parameters?

Thanks in advance,

Franz

The problem still exists with version 2.14.0.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@FWege.1 What are the missing entries in the Windows event logger? What exactly is the problem? What is the "but..." ?

Hello Pavel A.

First - thanks for your answer!

After double clicking the setup file the blue circle (appearing next to the mouse pointer) blinks.
I suppose this indicates some background activity.
Nothing further happens.
The task manager shows 2 processes.

No entry in the windows event log which indicates an error.

Firewall was disabled. Run as administrator was done.

Other installations run as expected.

This is strange, we have installed previous STM32CubeProgrammer versions on Win11 x64 several times and it works well.

Windows is a complex environment with possible presence of 3rd party software and hardware. Troubleshoot as usual for such issues.
