hello guys,
I am going to buy a board my main concern is: I want to measure the power consumption of my application. so I found STM32Cube Monitor-power for this purpose. I have doubt about which board will work with this app,
based on the video at the end of this link
https://blog.st.com/stm32-power-shield-ulpmark/
power shield is available on these boards :
1-STM32L011K4
2-Nucleo-l476RG
3-Nucleo-l476ZG-P
4-STM32l476G-DISCO
5-STM32L476G-EVAL
and
X-NUCLEO-LPM01A
Does the CubeMonitor-Power work with Nucleo-l476RG ? but the cubemonitor-power document said it only work for STM32l476G-DISCO
STM32L476G-EVAL

Hello @Mrahm.2,
I recommend you referring to the UM2243; "STM32 Nucleo expansion board for power consumption measurement". It will help you understand how does the expansion board works and how to set it up.

Hello @Mrahm.2,
I am not a Cube Monitor expert, but you can refer to the UM2202 STM32CubeMonitor-Power software tool for power and ultra-low-power measurements.
For the Nucleo-L476RG, it is supported as it is alimented by the power shield, so you need your Nucleo board, the power shield and the Cube Monitor Power. You can also refer to the video published on the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A page, it will certainly help you.

Thanks for your answer,
Do you mean, if I buy this board "Nucleo-L476RG" it doesn't have an embedded power shield so I need to buy the power shield board too? or does it have an embedded power shield?

hello
all Nucleo-64 boards, including the Nucleo-L476, employ their integrated ST-LINK/V2-1 debugger as removable mini-boards. Even if removed, it retains the ability to program the main board if reconnected with jumper wires between CN4 and the corresponding SWD signals available on the ST morpho connector.
so the answer is: yes, it must be supported

my purpose is to measure power consumption with cube monitor-power.
finally, with your answer, I didn't understand, can you answer these questions clearly?
1- do you mean all nucleus-64 are supported by STM32 Power shield(X-NUCLEO-LPM01A)?
2- are there any boards with embedded power shield feature(like STM32L562E-DK Discovery kit)?
3- if you watch the video published on the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A page you will see it represented "ST developed a standalone solution which is able to make real-time power measurement on several platforms such as 1-STM32L011K4 2-Nucleo-l476RG 3-Nucleo-l476ZG-P 4-STM32l476G-DISCO 5-STM32L476G-EVAL this affordable solution allows you to make measurments .." what this means, I think it means these boards have and embedded power shield to measure power consumption if yes how ?
