We are using an STM32F407-DISC board to run a permanent magnet synchronous motor and we are using STM Cube IDE software (Version 1.16.1) for coding and debugging purposes. The console (Live expression) of the cube IDE software get stuck(frozen screen) as soon as the motor is powered or a few seconds after that and Target not responding message starts popping. After this, we cannot change anything or view the console where variables are changing and updating. However, the code runs well and the motor functions as per our coding. Also, I believe communication is not lost as when I am changing a potentiometer position to change motor speed it responds to it. Upon reset the algorithm reinitiates and works fine with the screen still stuck. Now, if the STM is disconnected and reconnected then only this issue is resolved and further coding/updating can be carried out. The screen does not freeze at all and responds as long as required if the code is run with the motor not powered. Kindly suggest how to resolve this issue as without viewing the console the whole purpose of our experimentation is lost. The same issue has been faced with the STM32F412VG Nucleo board and some older version of CubeIDE (like 1.15.0 etc.) and across different computer systems as well.
