STM32CubeIDE Throws Error When I Try to Open The CubeMX embedded in the IDE

Hi

When I try to open the .ioc file associated with my project from within the STM32CubeIDE, I get the following error:

Invalid Input: 'FreeRTOS_Test_001.ioc' file content is not supported.

This file has been generated with STM32CubeMX version '6.4.0'.Your current STM32CubeMX version is '6.3.0'.
Please check for update: Help > Check for Updates

CubeIDE is obviously pointing to an older version than the version CubeMX version (6.4) that I opened from my desktop to create the project in the first place.

How can I fix this?

Best regards

Rob

I don't think it is connectivity. I run updates from CubeIDE regularly. At least once per day.

In any event I downloaded 1.8 and have got it working.

Ahh! Good question! My IDE is 1.7.

I have tried to update the IDE from within the IDE, Help->Check for updates, but it comes back "No Updates Found"

What do I have to do to update my STM32CubeIDE to the latest? Uninstall - download and then install the updated one?

Regards

Rob

Sometimes connectivity is down. In the meantime, just use the external CubeMX.

Could you try in your CubeIDE 1.7.0 installation to do this:

Window > Preferences > Install/Update > Available software sites

Try to Reload, the marked three update sites:
