Hi,
you could find example of 2x4Gbits DDR3L on STM32MP157F-EV1 board (see MB1263 in https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32mp157f-ev1.html#cad-resources). Maybe not area optimized as reserve room for DDR3L test interposer.
