I have two STM32MP157C-DK2 dev boards, they still have the demo software on it.
They collected a lot of dust, over the past years.
The problem is the 3d cube demo slowing down after days.
After a reset it is fast again. Perhaps a memory leak?
Because it needs a reset every day or maybe every hour, I never was willing to start developing software on it.
I'm cleaning up, and I am about to throw these kits in the trashbin.
But, what's the undelying problem? Is there a solution to keep de kits running stable and at full speed anyway?

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for the wiki, I will start to update the kits soon.
Now before doing that, I will follow some suggestions and check what the "top" and "free" commands say in both instances.
I have the demo running for 5 days, the stuttering becomes quite notiacble. I will let it run a few days longer before making a video to make it even more obvious for the eye.
After that, I will update the devices and check if the problem is solved.

The kits are running for about 5 days, and the stuttering starts to become more and more noticable.
I will let it go for a few more days, so I can post a video.
Then I will check what the "top" and "free" commands say in both instances (before and after reboot).
After that, I will follow the wiki to update the kits, and try it again, to see if the issue is gone.
Thanks for all sugestions, sofar. I will keep you updated.

You mean about 5 days in a row, without powering down ?
I know that Windows used to have issues with memory fragmentation, which eventually even crashed the machine after days or weeks. Perhaps they still do.
I don't know about such issues with Linux at all.
I could imagine that increased swap traffic could slow it down, Flash (including SD cards) get noticeably slower when an actual erase is involved. Again, just a guess.
