Hi St Team,

We would like to test network communication using st developed gateway board come with P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2.

Shall we get clarity on frequency band supported by LoRaWAN protocol like What are the frequency band supported by LoRaWAN protocol?

Hello @stselvam

First let me clarify something, the LoRaWAN is not a communication protocol. It is a Low Power, Wide Area (LPWA) networking protocol designed to wirelessly connect operated ‘things’ to the internet in regional, national or global networks, and targets key Internet of Things (IoT) requirements such as bi-directional communication, end-to-end security, mobility and localization services. But the communication protocol is called LoRa. LoRa transmits over license-free Megahertz radio frequency bands like 169 MHz, 433 MHz, 868 MHz (Europe) and 915 MHz (North America) For the P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2, we have a support for the higher frequency bands (868 MHz and 915 MHz).

Best Regards.

Hi ST Team,

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Got clarity between LoRa protocol and LoRaWAN network protocol.

Based on data sheet of Semtech SX1272, 76,77 and 79, it looks these LoRa module supports to configure the LoRa communication protocol for the License free frequency band of 865-867(India - IN865-867) also.

Shall we get clarity on supporting of LoRaWAN-network protocol for these License free frequency band of 865MHz to 867MHz (India - IN865-867)?

That is, Will our LoRaWAN-network protocol support these License free frequency band of 865MHz to 867MHz (India - IN865-867) without any additional cost?

Thanks

Selvam

Hello @stselvam

Yes, our P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2 should support this frquency band.
