I have a B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board that I can no longer contact over STLink. Is there a way to update the USB driver?

What to address your specific broken situation? Not really much detail to work from to determine if it is even driver related.
My recommendation here would be to strap BOOT0 HIGH so your broken code doesn't run, trying to connect/erase with STM32 Cube Programmer. Make sure the connection speed is a couple of MHz, for a CM0(+) device.

When I try to debug, I get the error: OpenOCD child process termination. Reason Unplugged target, STLlink already in use or USB driver not installed. I try different nodes and get the same response, so it is definitely a PC issue. Also, TeraTerm does not see the nodes (I tried two).

So no ST-LINK or COM ports populate in Device Manager?

Try a different cable, charging cables will not work. Need to have a data cable, connected to center top end of the board opposite end to LoRa antenna.
