Hi,
in the TouchGFX Designer I created a new Application with the Aplication Template STM32L4R9I Discovery. I used the UI Template TouchGFXWatch specified for the Discovery board.
When I now click on "RunTarget" I'll get an Error that the target is not reachable. The ST-Link from the Discovery board is present.
What is wrong? Have I forgotten something?
Regards
Christian

Be sure that the tools are updated to the latest release else you may face these issues.
What is the version of the ST-Link utility? Can you perform a full chip erase using this tool?
https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stsw-link004.html
Version 4.3.0 is current
also does not hurt to install the following:
STSW-LINK007 version 2.32.22
and
STSW-LINK009 version 2.0.1

Please reboot after the above and post your results of these updates.

Hi @Community member,
Can you connect to the board just using ST-Link? Are you alrady connected to the board using ST-Link GUI? (This would prevent any others from connecting - Like the designer which calls ST-Link CLI). Or maybe you have multiple boards connected?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,
with the ST-Link Utility I can connect to the target. So I disconnected the ST-Link Utility and closed the App. Then I started the TouchGFX Designer, opened my project and try to run target, without success. The LED for the ST-Link flashes one short time green and after that an error message came up... "please make sure you have the right target connected." !?
This also happens when I use the UI Template TouchGFXWatch!?
Best regards
Christian

Hi Chris,
And you're sure that the Application Template you've based your appliaction matches the board you're trying to connect to?

Hi,
@Mon2 -> thanks for help, the updates (ST-Link Utility and Win10 driver) solved one big problem. Now I can Run Target Great....
@Martin -> The updates solves the "run target" problem now the simulator problem is left. After the updates I got an Message from Windows 10 when I start the Simulator: "You need a new app to open ms-gamingoverlay files" This I could solve myself. Everything works now! Thanks
Best regards
