STM32U5G9 GPU2D aka NeoChrom aka 2.5D aka NEMA_GFX simple example wanted

TDJ

Hi All,

I am looking for any simple working example on how to, let's say, draw a circle or rectangle on the screen using the new GPU2D aka NeoChrom aka 2.5D aka NEMA GFX.
Does such example for STM32U5G9 already exist? I know that it has to use compiled NEMA_GFX proprietary lib but that is OK.

@GaetanGodart I would not call it high standard. Modern standard would be the more accurate description.
Currently I study LVGL Nema GFX implementation. I have not requested access to docs via ST yet.

Do I correctly understand that only Nema GFX library API documentation can be shared after NDA?
Although I understand that Nema GFX complexity is the explanation that you were given, I am sorry, I do not buy it at all and I am not the only one. Since I still "like" ST, here is my friendly advice. I suggest NOT to use this argument. Engineers usually are intelligent people, and some may feel just insulted.

I have not requested access to docs via ST yet.

Just to clarify things, Jorgen's message states that we are planning on making the documentation available on the ST website but this is not the case yet, so you should contact Jorgen directly.

I am sorry if this is the impression that my last message gave you. I am not aware of any NDA for this documentation.

I totally agree with you and I thinks this is the reason why we are now providing documentation to allow smart people to use Nema GFX.

I am going to repeat myself but I think you should just ask Jorgen for the documentation because I do not know how to help you otherwise.
It contains example for the STM32U5G9 which is what your original question is.

@GaetanGodart Nothing to be sorry about, this is just the official explanation that you follow and provide. I do understand.
Do I correctly understand that ST can share only Nema GFX library API documentation, not the low-level hardware docs like registers etc.?

Hello @TDJ ,

Yes, you get get NemaGFX library documentation but not the registers.

Coming back to your previous message, there is no NDA, just a license allowing you share your own implementation through a wrapper if that is what you want to do (refer to the license file to understand precisely what it allows).
