Could you please specify the board ? Is it a STM32F429I-DISCO or EVAL ?

For these boards, you have ATs available in TouchGFX Designer where all the configuration is done for you.

Beware that if you take the F429-DISCO the display attached can do both parallel RGB and SPI - The first option is what we're using, but you must send a command to the display to configure it.
