I'm just confused by a Board called Blue-Pill in the Community. It has a STM32F103C8T6 installed, but the Flash-Size Readout is 0x20000 and not 0x10000 for 64k as expected. It is also possible to use this Flash.
Here is the complete marking:
STM32
F103C8T6
GH21N 93
CHN 801
Revision Code: X

ST has been known to use different F1 die depending on availability. You should perhaps read the DEV_ID and the 16-bit word describing the size of the FLASH tested during final test and recorded in the ROM/OTP space.
There are several F1 die with different FLASH, RAM and peripheral combinations. Lower cost parts being a subset of higher functioning parts.
Up vote any posts that you find helpful, it shows what's working..
