RM0432 - HSITRIM default value might be wrong?

In the reference manual for STM32L4+ (RM0432), it states that the default value for HSITRIM[6:0] is 16, which seems to be the default for MCUs that have 5 bits allocated for the trimming value, not 7. The reset value is correct, but I suppose it should be also stated in the description as 64 (0x40), instead of 16 (0x10).

Hello @irinanita

It seems to be a typo in the RM0432. Could you please @STOne-32 ، @Imen.D confirm it and report it.

Best regards.

Hello @irinanita and welcome to the Community 🙂

Let me first welcome you to the STM32 Community and thank you for reporting this issue.

Thank you @Issamos for bringing this post to our attention.

I confirm the mistake in description of HSITRIM[6:0]. The default value should be 64 (as written in default reset value of register: 0x40 = 64).

An internal ticket (ID160618) is submitted in order to correct the RM0432 in the coming releases.
PS: ID 160618 is an internal tracking number and is not accessible or usable by customers.

Thanks
