A piece of wire should suffice?

What is it that you're actually asking? What is unclear?

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.
A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Hello. If I want to reset the MCU using wireless serial interface, can I connect the NRST pin to the state pin of the HC-05 module? If not, what is the connection made?  Thanks in advance.

The MCU will reset when NRST is pulled low - as described in its Datasheet and User Manual.

The MCU neither knows nor cares what causes NRST to go low - you can use any device which meets the requirements stated in the above-mentioned documentation.
