Maximum NAND Flash size
2011-05-17 04:06 AM
Hello all,
We are designing an ECG Holter now. In this project, a good many of data should be stored in NAND Flash. We planed to use the STM32F103ZD as the microcontroller. In the evaluation board STM3210E-EVAL, it used NAND512W3A2C as the NAND Flash. However, it is only a 64 MB one. We want to use NAND02GW3B2A, which is a 256MB NAND Flash, in our project. It seems that the microcontroller can only expand 64MB for each bank. Nevertheless, in the memory map FSMC bank2 NAND has 256MB space. Why? What is the biggest size of NAND Flash does the microcontroller support? Thank you. Lisa2011-05-17 04:06 AM
Hi Lisa,
Welcome in our Technical Forums, all our STM32 community wish you an active participation after your first Message :) Regarding your Question: You can visit our FAQ Knowledge Base and here is the Answer : . Cheers, STOne-32.2011-05-17 04:06 AM
Thank you, STOne-32. :)
It's kind of you to help me with the problem. We will do more experiments. Take care, Lisa2011-05-17 04:06 AM
Hi STOne-32,
Have noted that this forum/server have been ''overloaded'' (per ST message) for past week+. You've provided a link which answered poster's question - the contents of the link were small/brief. However - ''all'' subsequent viewers of this post must ''click this link'' to gain this knowledge. This is ''not'' especially convenient - and does not this ''add'' to forum traffic? Suggest that the ''answer'' appear right in the post area - especially when it is so brief. (PDFs - similar of course should be linked) Regards, JJ
