Hello! I am trying to interface IC max7219 (Serial interfaced led driver) with STM32F401RE through SPI communication.I am finding irregular functionality of SPI enable (CS ) is active high when communication is happening & also MOSI data is incorrect in logic analyser using HAL .Please help0693W00000AOUXIQA5.png0693W00000AOUXSQA5.png

Make the CS line a GPIO output and control it manually. Set it low before HAL_SPI_Transmit and high afterwards. The hardware signal is not very useful.

Doesn't seem like your logic analyzer plot lines up with your code. You're only sending 1 byte but I see way more than 8 or 16 transitions on the clock line.

> hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_16BIT;

If you're sending characters, you probably want data size to be 8 bits.

I would check your hardware for shorts. I'm a little suspicious that ENABLE and MOSI are identical. Set them as GPIO pins and toggle them independently to verify.

Thank you for inputs,

i tried changing CS line with GPIO output manually but there is no change .
still i am finding same issue & now i changed from SPI1 to SPI3
Now i am not getting SCK Signal properly.

  MX_GPIO_Init();
  MX_SPI3_Init();

  /* Infinite loop */
  /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */
  char message[]="H";
  HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_RESET);
  HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi3, message, strlen(message), 100);
  HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_SET);

  while (1)
  {
  }
}

Please help in solving this

Your original post has the SPI clock in it, but the amount of clocks doesn't match the code you posted. The second post doesn't have an SPI clock. It's frustrating to try to solve a problem when the goalposts are moving.

Verify pins aren't being used by other peripherals on the board. Verify they're being set to the correct AF mode. CubeMX will do this for you.
