Eclipse - IAR EWARM - Eclipse import project - java.lang.NullPointerException error

Im trying to import a STM32F401-Discovery Demo Project into the Eclipse IDE with errors.

stsw-stm32136 STM32F401-Discovery_FW_V1.0.0

I attached some pictures  for reference only.

Some steps that I was following:

1.) I have instaled plug-ins into Eclipse Kepler  from

http://eclipse-update.iar.com/

The plugin supports IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM (EWARM) 6.50.x/6.60.x/6.70.x/7.10.x.

2.) After install and the reset I run again the Eclipse with and a plugin error.

''An error occurred while initializing the SDK IAR Toolchain for ARM - 6.x''

3.) When Im trying an import following: Import->IAR Embedded Workbench->Import IAR Embeded Workbench project

(see the attached pictures for ref.), another error happens:

Failed to import project - An error occured during import:

java.lang.NullPointerException

Refer to the error log for more details.

I dont know if evetually it is a problem from java due it was updated to Java Version 7 Update 67 or from IAR plugins or there are a problem on the project example: STM32F401-Discovery_FW_V1.0.0

I would like to say that I had already managed to import ok into another environment few months ago.

Have you the same problem? What is the miss on this procedure?

Im sharing some information about this issue but Any help are welcome, please.

Thanks in advance,

Greg/Brazil

Thank you for your hint ... at other opportunity I will be contacting the IAR´s forum.

I found the answer this week,...

Solved, it's simple! (I would like to share with others):

Manually configures the Eclipe to the right path of your IAR installed version:

On our case: C:\Arquivos de programas\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 7.0

Inside of the Eclipse, go to Windows->Preferences

IAR Embedded Workbenchand fill the Path to the IAR Embedded Workbench installation directory.

It works, Now the project importer is working!

PS. The plugin installer only config the default path set for 6.50 version.

For IAR EWARM 7.10

C:\Arquivos de programas\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 7.0
