I'm looking for confirmation (first hand knowledge, please -- speculation is usless) that PA3 on the F37x and F38x are in fact at pin 18 and not on pin 17 as it is for all the other LQDP64-packaged F1xx, F2xx, F3xx, and F4xx parts? We are about to print a circuit board for the F373 LQFP64, so this isn't just an academic question.
Same question about pins 34, 35, 36 -- on all LQFP64 parts these are PB14,15,16 except (I question) on F37x and F38x where PB14,15 are (apparently) moved to pins 34,35. Thanks, -Gary P.S. If in fact the F37x and F38x product specification is correct, wth happened??!? Otherwise STM32 chips are very pin-compatable, a feature about which we were hoping to take advantage. #stm32f37x-pin-compatability2013-06-16 06:56 AM
P.S. If in fact the F37x and F38x product specification is correct, wth happened??
The F373x and F38x have a new peripheral type - SDADC - with it's own external reference, so they moved the ADC external reference to Pin 17, and made other changes you noted for SDADCx power. Edit - the functionality of pins 29 and 30 has also changed. Cheers, Hal2013-06-17 08:28 AM
Thank you, Hal, for your 'contribution'.
All of my original post remains unanswered. Can anyone help? P.S Hint: the question in the postscript was mostly a troll, but if you're tempted then you may want to address why (assuming the datasheet is correct) PA3, PB14, and PB15 weren't left at the same pins, given that they didn't need to be eliminated to make way for new functionality?
