1. In the B-G431B-ESC1 development board, there is a component labeled U5 (ST890DTR) in the circuit. Could you please explain the exact purpose or function of this component in the board’s design?

2. If the U5 (ST890DTR) component is removed from the B-G431B-ESC1 development board, what types of issues or malfunctions could occur? Would the impact be considered minor, major, or critical to the board’s operation?

Any reason why you want to remove U5 IC?

Take the time to read the documentation of the ST890DTR, and since it is a protection for the board, it is not recommended to remove it.
