b-g431b-esc1 overheats

When I connect a USB cable and use b-g431b-esc1, the U5 IC overheats and becomes unusable. Could you please advise me on the cause of this phenomenon and how to make b-g431b-esc1 usable again?
To use the b-g431b-esc1, I soldered the power input/output pins, CAN pins, and the pins near the CAN pins (likely J8). Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Using more descriptive names rather than cryptic abbreviations like "b-g431b-esc1" increases your chances to get considered by others.

Looking it up, the ST website says :
The B-G431B-ESC1 Discovery kit is based on the STM32G431CB microcontroller, the L6387 driver and STL180N6F7 power MOSFETs.

Most likely you destroyed it, probably by driving an inductive load.

You could check the power consumption, there are specialized USB devices for that purpose that you can connect between host and the target.
And I would check the +5V / +3.3V lines on the  B-G431B-ESC1 Discovery.
But I suspect this one is done.
