STM32CubeMX F4 1.16 Firmware

Hi everyone

My cubeMX try to update the firmware of F4 to 1.16 but it failed as it used to.

So I try to download the firmware here in ST website.

But after I download the zip file which said 1.16 on the website but actually it is 1.15 patch inside.

Now I can't generate the project code without the 1.16 firmware...

Can someone help me please.

Could you please try again?

I got the same configuration as you (CubeMX 4.1 with an old version of STM32CubeF4) and CubeMX made the automatic update to the new version 1.16 successfully.

Hi,

I have the same problem.

The file 'en.stm32cubef4.zip' on ST website is old.

Hi 

I just solved the problem yesterday I don't know if it can work for you.

In fact my CubeMX download the patch when it try to update by itself.

It just somehow can't unzip and install.

I found the zip file in c:\user\USERNAME\STM32Cube\Repository\

You can find the 1160 zip file there if you have the same problem.

I moved zip to another folder(I not sure if it's necessary)

Then open your CubeMX and select Help>Install Patch

Or Help>Install New Libraries>From Local...

, I don't have any issue when downloading the Fiwmare F4 v1.0

I wonder how you update the firmware package F4. I advise you to click on Help/New Librairies Manager and click on Firmware Package for Family STM32F4 v1.0 and Install Now.

I didn't encounter any issue when doing like that and code generation is ok (tried with IAR on Windows).

The problem is faced when downloading directly from ST web site.

I confirm the issue from my side and inform you that it will be fixed soon.

As workaround, you may use CubeMX to make an update in your repository.

Hello,

Issue to download the version 1.16 of STM32CubeF4 package is fixed in the ST web.

Could you please check in your side?
