RTC format AM/PM

Maximiliano
Senior

Good morning,

I am trying to use the RTC and I managed to make it work as expected for the 24hs format, it has no delays and when resetting I could see how to make it save the time but I am having a problem with the 12hs AM/PM mode, the set to go from AM to PM that is used in the set_time function on line 53 does not work, when doing a get_time the only way to indicate PM is if I write in the variable directly after reading what the RTC stores, what am I doing wrong? . all the tests are done by debugging to see in live expression what is stored in time and date.

when entering set_time it is supposed to change to PM.

my board is a stm32h745I-disco.

good day awiernie, no I just surrendered, I'm thinking about maybe using it as 24hs and apply a logic in case you want it 12 hours something like if the rtc says a value greater than 12 put it as PM and if not as AM ie make the conversion to display it as you want.

I don't know why the RTC will have this problem with the mode change or what we are doing wrong, I'm sorry I can't help and I hope my idea is also useful for you.
