VN5160S-E - 28V on INPUT pin, damahing my uC

HI all,

Has anyone come across their HS switch putting voltage back onto the input pin of this device which is at VCC level (28V for me) so this is then going back to my microcontroller and damaging it. In what scenario is this even possible?

Here is my schematic: Screenshot 2023-07-17 111104.png

Thanks all!

Welcome @matt.pole, to the community!

This is conceivable if you had stress of overvoltage pulses on VCC that exceeded the value of 41V mentioned in the Max Ratings. Their duration is irrelevant, it is only the level of max 41V that matters.

What do you have on Prot_24v?
