The minimum system to program the STPMIC25APQR

Hi,

We need to pre-program a large mount of STPMIC25APQR offline.

So we would design a minimum system to program this device.

My question is we only need to program this chip, which pins should be must. we would like to leave all other pins floated(not used). Could all the  LDOs and BUCKs not powered as we don't use them in programming.

Hello Nluke.1,

to reprogram the STPMIC25, it should be sufficient to power the pins 5Vin and 3.3VIO using a socket board with the CINTLDO connected to ensure the correct power supply for the internal blocks and leave all the remaining pins floating. If your I2C master interface is provided with the pull-up resistors for the SCL and SDA pins, you shouldn't need anything else.

During the reprogramming of the devices, use the right precautions to handle the devices and prevent ESD discharges to avoid damaging of the samples.

My suggestion is to try few samples first reading the original NVM content.

Regards,

Vincenzo

Hello Nluke.1,

I forgot to say that you need to connect all the GND pins ePad included, just to be sure.
