I was hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction for two projects I am looking to research:
1.) BMS - to what extent is there a mature ecosystem and codebase for scalable battery management - not only for varying call capacities, but for varying configurations? I am interested in the MCU and control behind a 3S2P config up to even something like 3SxP (x probably no greater than 4), or 4SxP. I am looking at the 18xxx series of LiPo batteries. Particularly - STM MCU platform/dev/daughter boards, any associated peripherals, and code references.
2.) I am also looking for similar solutions as above for research into grid forming and grid following inverters - preferably on a scale suitable for lab work, but in pursuit of what we would see on utility scale units.
If anyone could point me in the right direction to get started, I would appreciate the assistance! Also glad to chat with ST staff!
