Motor Supply Voltage on the L6470

I wanted to use the X-Nucleo-IHM02A1 stepper motor driver board in a project that has a ​3.8 volt motor.  The data sheet for the L6470, and the guide for the IHM02A1, list the Motor Supply voltage (Vs) as 8 to 45 volts. Does this mean that the L6470 is not compatible with my 3.8V motor ?

Yes, the motor would be compatible. Motors are inductive loads, which are current dependent. That datasheet would have also specified a current at 3.8 Volts.
