Is each MOSFET current limited to 1.7A in VNS1NV04DPTR-E? Or total current for the chip (both MOSFETs together) is limited to 1.7A?

In the data sheet of the VNS1NV04DP-E this is mentioned, but somewhat hidden on page 1 under the list of features as footnote 1:

1. Per each device.

Here each means each individual MOSFET and not both together.

Thank you for your response. That is what I thought too but wanted to check to make sure. Does this mean that in VNS3NV04DP-E the ILIMH 3.5A is shared between 2 MOSFETs since it does not have the "Per each device" note?

Is RDS(ON) value the main difference between VNS1NV04DP-E and VNS3NV04DP-E?

Well, that's actually a different topic for which a new thread should be created.

However: VNS3NV04DP-E differs from VNS1NV04DP-E not only in the Rdson and thus the maximum current, but also in many other parameters (such as transconductance, switching times, input charge, or those of the drain source diode).

It was also mentioned on page 1 of the VNS3NV04DP-E that the Rdson refers to each channel (i.e. one MOSFET), so I assume that this also applies to the current. If you want to be sure, you are welcome to confirm this question in the Online Support OLS.
