Hello everybody!

I want to know if it's possible to use an internal timer not being obliged to reserve 4pins on the STR710F?

Hello Merchez,

Normally in STR71x familly you have an internal timer, it consists of a 16-bit counter driven by a programmable prescaler.

It may be used for a variety of purposes.

I cant understand what do you say by using 4pins on the STR710F?? and wich pins can be used, you think?

With regards,

Hich :-]

Hi

Is the internal timer the same as the timer3, timer2, timer1, or timer0?

Because for example timer3 is on pins 71, 72, 73, 74!

So if i use the internal timer, do i have to reserve those pins to make my timer running, or not?

regards

Dam

Hi,

Using the STR71x timer, you are not obliged to keep those pins reserved.

Cheers,

Hich ;)
