My 16MHZ Crystal does not always start:

68pf load caps, no load caps, no difference!.

When clock filter is enabled and ST7 is running on back up clock, is it possible to kick start HSR circuit with software method or do I have to keep cycling power until it starts!!..

Hi Deedub

I used to use a 2254 with a 16MHz crystal.

My circuit used 33pf caps.

It is always worth double checking your option byte settings.
