SensorTileBox Pro recognizes steval-mki197v1 as LSM6DSO32

Hi there,

In the app, my steval-mki197v1 with LSM6dsox gets recognized as LAM6DSO32.

Is this normal behaviour?

Hi @luik ,

Welcome to ST Community!

Unfortunately LSM6DSOX is not supported, on the contrary LSM6DSO32X is. For this reason it is probably misread.
The possibility of using STEVAL-MKI197V1 will certainly be added in the future.

Apart from being labeled wrong, it seems to work just fine but i did no further testing. Is it maybe compatible and useable?

Hi @luik ,

The two sensors are similar but not the same, so it may be that for the registers you are looking at it works but we do not guarantee it for all features. The device that is currently supported is only LSM6DSO32X.

Thank you for the answer.
The STEVAL MKI229AA features the LSM6DSO16IS IMU.

Is the data of the LSM6DSO16IS compareable to a LSM6DSOX?

They both feature the same sampling rates and scales.

Best regards,

Luis

Hi @luik ,

Do you mean if you could use the LSM6DSOIS instead of LSM6DSOX?
